The village is running low on food and it is up to you to find some steaks and cook them for the village. You are granted exactly one portable spit though you will have to do the hunting yourself.
Right in the outskirts of the village are EVIL HAND TURKEYS. They have 10 HP each, which your character will have to defeat in normal battle combat style (attack with the dice mechanics of your current character until it hits 0 HP). They do -2 auto damage to you every time you hit it. When you have defeated a turkey, you can carve from it, a turkey steak.
Roll 1d10 to cook your steak. If you roll 1-5 your steak is raw, if you roll 6-8 your steak is perfect, if you roll 9-10 you steak is unedible. Only RAW and perfect steaks are allowed.
gaia_star If you acquire a perfect steak, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list.

After having watched everyone else run around like chickens with their heads cut off, Saya was approached by a villager and asked to help. They seemed a bit more friendlier than before, and after a moment of thinking, the faerie agreed.
"Why not," She murmured softly. There was really nothing better to do, after all.
When she approached the area where the villager asked for help, she found turkeys running around rather wildly, and figured she had to catch one of the damn things.

It didn't start off with a gentle pitter-patter of scattered raindrops. One moment the dark sky was churning, the next moment the area became drenched in a sudden downpour. No thunder boomed overhead; the only sound aside from the hissing rain was the soft whisper of the wind.
A whisper which grew into a howling shriek as the fog grew thicker, and it arrived.
Of course it would be a dragon. In stories it was always a dragon of some sort, wasn't it? This particular dragon is large and gray like the fog surrounding Misama Village. The rain doesn't seem to fall on it. Rather it falls in an area around it, as if it warded off the rain through the sheer force of its will.
The dragon throws back its head and unleashes a roar loud enough to stop the rain for one, two, heartbeats. The roar fades, and the rain resumes with a greater vengeance. You will not be able to complete this quest while this encounter is active.
Also, that raw steak that Saya just cooked? Kushala totally just ate it.

- If there are 5 or more players in the thread, Kushala will flee. Kushala can only be fought with 4 or less players.
- Fears cannot be used.
- You can always abandon the quest and [ Exit ] if you do not want to fight Kushala. You will not get loot.
- Loot will not always be dependent on whether you can defeat/repel Kushala. Said loot may be rewarded for outstanding attempts, RP posts, or for good sportsmanship.
- Once Kushala has been defeated/repelled, you may continue your quest.
Sayael was SO ANGRY. She had cooked that steak and IT WAS ALMOST PERFECT SHE'LL HAVE YOU KNOW.
Dancing out of reach for a moment, Saya drew back her foot and stomped on its foot, not doing any damage except to her already injured pride.
The faerie's hair was soaked by now, and her dress was also sagging but she paid neither of them any heed - her anger was fully on the dragon, and the fact that it had actually interfered with what she was doing.
Maybe she should teach it not to mess with a faerie. Their tempers were very large.

Xavier was, sadly, once again in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This was becoming a bad habit.
The first part of his day had been spent trying to acquiesce to the villager's every whim and wish, since Xavier had a terribly bad time actually saying no to anyone. He'd gone from place to place, fulfilling each and every request, and by now he was not only exhausted, but completely confused and turned every which way as to where he was supposed to be currently and where he was supposed to be going.
Long story short: he'd attempted to run way, skittering from his last request with a nervous squeak, and then, most unfortunately, had run straight into -
- a dragon.
Xavier did what anyone was supposed to do in these sorts of situations and screamed - but then there was that nagging little voice inside of his head that was probably Hel telling him to buck up and be an actual boil and not run away from his problems.
So he tried to scratch the thing, scuttled backwards awkwardly, and scraped his claws along its side.
"A-a-are you okay?" he asked tentatively to the ghoul, who was unfamiliar.

"Aye." The faerie was surprised to find that she was relieved someone else joined in, glancing to the newcomer for just a brief moment before her eyes slid back to watch the dragon carefully.
"Just livid." The rain was pelting her face and making her hair clump up, so she parted her lips and revealed sharp teeth as she snarled a reply at the dragon eating the steak she had so carefully prepared.
Glancing once more to the newcomer, she heaved a sigh and actually found herself, for once, thanking someone. It felt strange on her lips.
"Thank ye for helping." A pause as her eyes shifted to regard the dragon in its entirety. "Together?" The dragon crunched down the last of the steak and Saya found herself completely devoid of any other emotion other than anger. Seething, white hot anger.
"No. Not today." Scrambling behind it while it was busy with the steak, Sayael moved and clamped her teeth on its tail, making sure to do as much damage as possible.

It was rainy, wet, and suddenly quite dark. Was it really any wonder that Hollandaise slid forward in the sudden mud? No, the true wonder was that she skidded past a dragon. "What." She breathed in rain and spluttered.
"What is happening?" she said, pushing wet hair out of her eyes. Regardless of what was actually happening, it rather seemed the thing to be angry at the dragon.

He didn't recognize the ghoul - and, well, Xavier was quite certain he would have, because she was sort of intimidating and maybe a little scary in her appearance. And not only that, but she seemed to be not in the best state of mind - which, considering their circumstances, was probably understandable, but, well, Xavier wasn't sure how he felt about those sharp teeth that were currently being flashed around.
The dragon was huge and terrifying and Xavier mostly just wanted to wilt into the floor and let it swallow him up so that he could disappeared into it; but that wasn't technically the best game plan that he could have at the present moment, so he decided that, well, he might as well go forward and help.
"Y-you're welcome," he stammered, hoping that somewhere Helmut was proud of him.
He lifted his claws and tried to slash a line down it's side, but the beast gave a roar of displeasure, and Xavier squawked, feathers flying everywhere as he scuttled around to its other flank. He thought that maybe, perhaps, he could get a better angle from this way, and he took a breath, squared his shoulders, and tried to act confident.
Whether or not it actually worked remained to be seen. The other ghoul was also dimly recognized, though the last time Xavier had seen her, she'd kissed him, and he all but ran away from her this time, Xavier streaking past in a flash of black and brown and feathers.

She'd noted the encroaching and then particularly stubborn storm that sat upon them, but for Piper it didn't really ruffle her feathers beyond a complaint about her hair. Having grown up with a storm mage for a mummy, neither the sounds nor the sights intimidated her. Though with all this weird miasma going about, maybe she should have stopped to consider how abnormal the weather was going to be as a result.
Similarly, the ghoul should have been at least a little afraid at the vision that was such a giant creature. (Minipet? Rogue villager? Random stranger??) But instead, Piper's face split in a wide and excited grin, because for once she wouldn't have to haul extremely hot and heavy stones, or harpoon weird sandwhales that ran away before the fight got good, or try to pretend she cared about the plight of the villagers she kept trying to interview who didn't even have the decency to give her hints about where the totally hidden buried treasure was at. (For all places that randomly disappeared off the map had to have equally mysterious goodies to be had, right?)
No, instead she would finally get her epic boss. With epic background battle rain to boot. And if the vision of knighthood had taught her anything, it was that the more special a creature looked, the better the treasure it was going to give up.
Lucky for these poor creeple, Afroqueen was on the scene!
"'SUP, NERDS!" Piper yelled gleefully as she swung her weapon, a large jug-like cannon, over her shoulder and made her way over, squinting through the stinging rain. "WHO WANTS TO BE MY DEATH KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR AND PLAY DEFENSE FOR ME?"
Not that her overeagerness waited. Out shot a chunk of rock at the dragon, crumbling against its scales like it was nothing at all.
But hey, she knew some pocket monster stuff. Rock was totally good against flying types, right?

The dragon attempted to lash its tail. It was then that it realized that something had decided to bite him back there. With an undignified roar the dragon turned and attempted to lash at Saya, its claws raking the air close to where she was but not quite hitting her.
With a roaring hiss, the dragon took to the skies. It couldn't fly too high with Saya hanging off of it, but it was high enough off the ground to hover. Once there, it began to unleash its icy breath!

For the next three turns Kushala will attempt to freeze you! Roll as normal, but if you roll double numbers you are frozen. During these three turns, Kushala cannot auto-attack (take no damage and don't add anything to your miasma meter).
When frozen, you cannot attack. Instead, your next turn is simply an RP post (minimum 100 words). After that, you are free.
A "turn" is when Kushala would act (if he was an RPer) so if we assume this post is Kushala turn #1, then turn #2 won't happen until four posts later (after everyone takes a turn). After Kushala's third turn, the effect ends and damage/miasma is distributed as usual.
