- Welcome to The Gala of Rotona's Honor (May 2015 event) signups! EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE is encouraged to enter! This is an event that is based on your own pacing, however you want to post, whenever. It doesn't have any requirements other than what YOU want out of it. So sit back, enjoy the story and your character involvement and for sure please do come join us! - You may sign up with a max of ONE character. The event itself is RP based but is not RP intensive if you do not wish it to be. - This event will start May 1st and finish at the end of May (approximately) - This event is a storytelling event, with a lot of focus on your character. - NEWBIES and people WITHOUT CHARACTERS are more than invited! Please DO come as this will give you a great chance to potentially win a custom or semi-custom. Come participate, join the fun and craziness, and really, pave a path for your character. Newbies will be signing up with QUEST characters which you can create HERE- Once again as a newbie you will be making a QUEST CHARACTER. Quest characters are characters that are not yet actual characters. Think of it as a wishlist! Even veterans can sign up with a quest character! You can sign up [link]HERE[/link] - You may sign up with quest Unicorns. Familiars, Tiny Folk, etc are not available during this event. - Simply post using the form below. In the form you'll see an area called Into the Mists. This is where you need to post a small prompt for your character where they enter The Misty Shores. This solo is for your eyes only, as a writing exercise to lead up to the event. - Feel free to sign up first and fill out the solo later. - Yes, while it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you write one, there is no maximum or minimum word count so write away!

exclaim Is your question not answered here? Ask it HERE exclaim Q: How long is the event? - It runs from May 1st to the 20th approximately, give or take a few days depending on pacing. Q: Is this event RP required and intensive? - This is an RP event but NOT RP intensive. It is meant to be lighthearted, but you can take it as intense as you want. Major posts are done every 24 - 48 hours and will mention a deadline. They're very minimal and usually just require a couple of dice rolls and a reaction post. Even if you just fulfill the minimum requirements, as long as you finish from start to end, even if you skip a day, you are still eligible for prizes. - If you'd like to get more out of the event we have options to battle, PRP, and do additional events. These are just for your character honestly, and for you to have fun. You choose how much you want to put into it, we just provide the world and setting! If you miss a day, no, this will not majorly affect your character. You can just continue on until the final end. Q: How does the prize system work? - Our prize system will be based on daily activity. So that means even if you tried day 1 you are still eligible. Every day you post with your character all you need to do is post proof of them trying. It doesn't have to be a big post as long as you tried to rp with your character and complete the task, as a small minimum. These tasks take 15 - 30 minutes, they really are not that intense. I want to stress this is an RP for you to discover YOUR character, quest or regular character, so whatever time you put in is the ultimate reward for yourself. Anyway one ticket a day, if you finish from start to finish, with just a few gaps, but at least TRIED to power to the end, you will get 5 bonus tickets and eligibility for the Pre-mades and CUSTOMS raffle! Q: Customs raffle? - Yes we are opening FREE CHARACTER CUSTOMS as well. These are for people who really tried their best from start to finish to participate in the meta. Again this doesn't have to be intense. Just a small post per day or every two days to really just say you gave it your best shot. At the end we will have a special customs raffle for everyone who did try. Q: I do not have a character? Can I sign up? - Of course! Just make sure you have a QUEST character. Get started by making a quest here! If you win a custom you DO NOT have to get this quest character and can opt for any other quest you'd like. Q: I am a newbie, what are my chances of winning anything? - You get equal chances in the premade raffle, as long as you participate. You will also get a PRIORITY ROLL in the customs raffle. That means if you tried from start to finish, the newbie roll pile will be uniquely rolled for winners, depending on how many newbies there are. A newbie is a person who has 3 Unicorns OR LESS. - In addition to this, we will nominate a couple of newbies. These have a chance of winning bonus premades or a custom. Q: I don't want to win a custom/premade but I still want to participate! Do I forfeit prizes? - You will get to choose a familiar instead if you want! Q: I want to participate but I'll be busy in the middle/ end/ beginning! - Not a problem! It's okay if you're busy for a few days in the middle and can't post. As long as you come back and continue trekking on, you're fine! All these days are stand alone events so if you can't do a day's event that is fine. Please do give it your best effort if you want to be eligible for the end prizes though such as the Pre-made and CUSTOMS RAFFLE. Even if you try at the start you are still eligible for premade prizes. Q: Will you be doing paid/ auction /raffle anything? - Nah this is all free stuff in the event! All you need to do is give it a try! Q: What is this event about? - It is a celebration of Rotona’s sacrifice to the world and a ritual all rolled into one. To honor and revive the spirit and thus continue the connection magic between the portals of the world.

INTO THE MISTS: Coriole has always believed in and been a devoted reteller of the old stories, like the myth of Rotona along with other stories whispered down from elder to foal throughout the ages. He is a protector of those who stumble and a defender of those who are in need, when they have need. Fair-minded, or so he likes to think, he has never been one to plunge into a cluster of unknown unicorns and simply start talking, but he does listen well, he does lend a shoulder if it's needed, and he is cautiously curious about the parts of this world he hasn't yet explored. He is eager to experience the celebration as a stallion in his own right and made the journey into the mists without hesitation.

YOUR GAIA USERNAME: Vistada CHARACTER YOU ARE ENTERING WITH: Time  CITIZEN OR NIGHTMARE? Citizen INTO THE MISTS: Time is a corm who holds an oddly shaped antler-esque horn. He is the mirror image of his brother Fate. Time's eyes actually have a total heterochromia, his red eye that is showing is Fate's hidden eye and Fate's blue eye that is showing is Time's hidden eye. He and his brother are of shorter stature; it is an obvious fact to many that they are not pure corms.
Time was born along side his twin brother Fate to two fairly different parents in the outskirts of Dokoh. As young colts the two had enjoyed their mother's story telling of the doe who saved Rammalin; Rotona. They have become infatuated with the idea of their possible ancestor. Time and Fate are like any cliche twin set and are very close. They do bicker and fight like any other sibling bond but they do not allow disagreements last very long.
Time is the less talkative of the twins. He has a sweet heart, and a very pure mind however he is a bit odd.
He does not get many social cues and because of this he doesn't make many friends who can not give time to an oddball such as Time. He lacks a good filter and a half. At times when he feels the need to strike up conversation it can be of anything.

Nightmare INTO THE MISTS:Imp is a reserved mare, not because she is shy simply because she prefers to watch the on goings around her. Other corns are extremely interesting to her, she lives secluded away in a shadow riddled dead forest. Imp dabbles in the art of voodoo and herbal lore, she swears the shadows whisper to her, and sometimes she is right about things she has no knowledge of before hand. The celebration with its ritual, and sacrifice as well as the importance of keeping the connection of magic all call to Imp, luring her from the shadows and into the light.

Citizen INTO THE MISTS: Though capable of making friends and being civil, Lapels does not care much for others. She is not one to trust, and is liable to leave her friends behind if it means an opportunity for her. There's a running a joke that her smiles never reach her eyes. However, she is fond of stars and flying. Though the mist may take some other form to others, they appear murky to her, hiding within their nebulous veil some unknown danger and unseen treachery. They are cold, unwelcoming. She steps in.

But she had always been "too young" and "not old enough" to stay up and participate. Well, today was the day! A slender young mare with nimble legs, Tiger Lily trotted lightly into the mist. It would be a rite of passage!

Citizen INTO THE MISTS: Talya is a prideful creature, often keeping her head up high even when situations look bleak. She is not afraid to let her opinion be known and often considers herself mostly right. However, much like the ebbing tide, Talya has moments when she feels vulnerable if not completely unsure of herself. This most often reveals itself when she has found to be in a rather inconvenient place or situation. The mist was alluring, causing the female to perk her ears in utmost curiosity. Why she found herself drawn to follow was beyond her or perhaps even her control. However, she was soon doing so, taking small steps to follow the set of mysterious hoof prints. Maybe, just maybe, this was the adventure she was searching for.

INTO THE MISTS: There's a reason Heremon doesn't speak of his parents, and it's namely due to their desire to dissuade him from his plans of power. But they're on the opposite side of the safe and populated country at the moment, and with Dempsey by his side - soft, sweet Dempsey, painfully-in-love-with-him Dempsey - he's unlikely to be found, not when the attention is more on the soft painter, not himself. Cue the forming of the mists. Cue the whispers, the rumors of darkness, of power if one only knows the best way to grasp it. Yes, that's what Heremon's here for, and nothing will be interfering with his chance at power, fame, and fortune.

Citizen INTO THE MISTS: Belladonna, albeit nurturing, patient, understanding and motherly can be a dangerous mare to deal with. Once angered, her wrath has no limits and she is quite vindictive. There is very little one can do to gain her favor once you have lost it, but that it only because it takes a great deal for one to lose her favor. She gives chances upon chances until finally she breaks. Bella is also quite cautious and flighty. The need to flee is latent within her when danger makes itself present but if cornered, she can be a fierce opponent. - It was more than evident that magick swirled in the air, whispering it's beckoning to any ear that would listen. Belladonna wasn't sure why, but she felt compelled to answer the calling and as a result she found herself here, surrounded by a plethora of others like herself all varying in size, shades and personalities. "One can only wonder what is to become of this night."

Citizen INTO THE MISTS: Sunshine exudes radiance in every way she knows how - in her looks, her personality, and her behavior. It can be a bit much for others, but those who can't stand to bask in her presence probably aren't worthy, anyway. There isn't much that bothers this one; she's confident in her brilliance and she acts like it. Forever flirting with cute corms, she has no doubt that she could have anyone she wanted. What's possibly worse than her attitude that she's superior to most is the fact that she acts gracious about it, as if she pities those she considers beneath her. She's haughtily and arrogantly kind and helpful.
