A soul seeks haven in the solace of his arms.
A soul that fears what it desires the most.

.:Treasure Box:.

Matador
User Image"I certainly feel like an old man sometimes," Matador said, taking a mug out from a box. "Start in on that before it gets cold. I can always make more breakfast sculptures for you later." He made the mug at a pottery shop down the street. He glazed it in pearly white, metallic teal, and iridescent purple. The colors swirled together, but the most exciting detail was that her name was painted on the inner base, so when she finished it off, she'd see her name written on the inside. Quickly, he made the hot cocoa, adding extra mini-marshmallows and drawing her a panda face in the whipped topping. "Here you go, Covet. That's your special mug. It matches mine." At the setting next to Covets, a glittery black, ruby and amethyst mug with a similar pattern waited for its owner's return. "When you need a refill just tell me."

Pheydre
User ImageWatching the inquisitive Shu inch forward to look into her bag, and she smiled. Pulling the bag into her lap she opened it up further, displaying a number of small leather bags each tied with different colored string, and either having a bead or feather attached to the string. One of her newest masks laid wrapped in black cloth was tucked against the side. Looking at Covet and then back at the hidden mask, she pulled it out.

"Hmmmm." She said consideringly, giving Covet an appraising look. Cocking her head to one side then the other she smiled brightly. Unwrapping the mask, she produced a small half mask made of bright green feathers, close to the color of turquoise, a small golden beak covered the nose and around the eyes were curly-ques of purple beads. "I had forgotten about this." She said as she lifted it away from the black cloth, letting the purple ribbon dangle down. "It was actually inspired by you and for you." She said smiling brightly as she handed it over to Covet. "Thank you, it was a lot of fun to make."

Mecca
User ImageMecca gave her another one of his cold smiles. Tracing his finger down the creature's leg he stopped at the end and took hold of it. Avoiding the claw. With another satisfied smirk he twisted and pulled it off causing the creature to flail and jerk in obvious pain.

Semi satisfied with the reaction he moved onto the next claw, this time yanking the creature out of its shell and dangling it at arms length. He wrinkled his nose as he watched it writhing and sighed. It made no noise, it was no fun.
Bored of his game he swung his arm around and lobbed it into the sea.

"There." He said handing her the pretty shell. "It's yours now."

.: heart :.

Matador: *swoon* My knight in shining armor xd . He's so lovably sweet and the day he met me he saved me, sang to me, and gave me a home and a job. What more could a girl ask for?

Enoch: I liked Enoch. She's really nice and calm. Her markings are really pretty and I like her eyes.

Devaki: She's so pretty! I love her color and her markings! I really hope we get to run into each other again someday soon.

Pheydre: I barely met her and I already like her tons! I can't wait to play with her.

Scone: I really didn't get much time to play with him, but he seems like he's a more willing playmate than others *glances at Mecca*

.: confused :.

Mecca: Hmmm.... I just don't get his idea of fun. It hurts... a lot. Which I guess is what he likes, but that's just weird. Oh well... he's not so bad now that I found a game we can both play... I just wish we didn't have to pull each other's hair to play tag. He pulls really hard *rubs sore head*.

Opening the door to the dim room, Ceara paused in the entrance, a pool of light at her feet, her shadow seeming to waiver between the class room and the hall. Since being accepted into the club, she had yet to have been able to come down to the lab and see what this whole 'Dream Land' thing was that the teacher tried to explain to her. She still didn't quite get it, but she was curious enough to find out. She saw another adult in the corner at a desk, the young woman gave her a serene smile and came over to her.

"This is your first time?" Ceara just nodded looking around at the the desks where students were sitting, seemingly sleeping. "Do you need some help?" Ceara turned to look at the woman, her cold eyes percing, she just shook her head and went to sit down. The teacher had told her what to do, she wasn't stupid. Slowly going through the process, Ceara hooked herself into the unit and sat back.

A soft shimmer waivered on the edge of town, coming to full form in just a moment. A soft smile spread across soft lips, and green eyes quickly read over the welcome sign to Cresent City. Reaching long arms up to the sky Pheydre took in a deep breath, as if it was her first and looked around curiously. Her wings fluttered a bit and her tail lifted as she looked around, not sure where to go. No one was around the edge of town, and at the moment the litte Shu wanted nothing but to see some new people, she had been sitting idle for too long.

Long legs carried her smoothly into the center of town, looking for anyone she didn't know. Softly she hummed as she walked, a smile playing across her eyes, and bright green eyes sparking with the beauty of the day.

.:Covet:.

Covet skipped through Crescent City. She had gotten up early that day to help Matador clean up his shop after its opening night. Now she was free to explore the city at her will. Singing a song that had popped into her head, she turned a corner and ran right into a pair of brown legs. Catching herself before falling to the ground, she looked up at the new shu.

"Hi," she sparkled at her. "I'm Covet" she introduced herself, holding out her teal tipped hand out to her. With her large green eyes, she quickly took in the warm brown skin and hair, and the smiling green eyes.

Mecca had spent yet another satifying morning torturing the creatures of crescent city. This time he had gotten hold of a magnifying glass and was setting fire to a nest of insects he had found in one of his favourite alleys. It wasn't a whole lot of fun. They didn't make much noise and it was all over and done with rather quickly. He was about to turn his attention to the something larger he had seen dissapearing behind a rock when he heard the voices.

Creeping to the edge of the alley he peered round the corner. There stood Covet and another Shu he didn't recognise. A grin lit his face. Covet had been a lot of fun before. Maybe she would play with him again. Seeing that the red haired idiot was no where to be seen. He stepped out of his hiding place and joined the others.
"Good Morning." He said using his best fake smile on the two females.

[ Chiyo ]

Seeing her incompetant assistant trying to chat up the students as they walked in thoroughly annoyed her. It was the fifth aide she had received since the beginning of the term, and Chiyo's supervisor was on her back about 'not chasing this one off, too'. Rolling her eyes, she walked over to the aide and handed her a nice thick stack of indexing and suggested she work in the adjacent office.

"Sorrison-san, nice of you to finally show up," Chiyo said, looking over her black, wire-framed glasses.

Watching Ceara log onto the system, Chiyo pulled up her avatar info on the primary console. It was Pheydre's first venture into Dreamland, and surveying the other avatars in the system, Chiyo smirked. Mecca, Covet, and Matador were also roaming around Crescent City. Taking up her can of potato chips, Chiyo sat back and logged ~ Orabelle ~ in to observe casually.

"This should be very interesting, indeed," Chiyo said with a raise brow.

Scarlett Quixote

Having spent the morning cleaning up the bar with Covet, Matador decided to give her the rest of the day to play. Running some errands around the city, Matador returned back to the area near the shop. He was surprised to see Covet talking with a beautiful, unfamiliar face. Straightening his jacket up and smoothing his ruby hair, Matador's smile faded when he saw Mecca slither out of the shadows nearby.

"That little b*****d is back," Matador said, stalking forward holding his bags tightly. "Of all the..."

Hustling over to the group, he gave the new lady a reserved bow and greet her formally. "I'm Matador. It's nice to meet you." One could tell from his voice that he was being sincere, but he was annoyed about something.

Awyndion
[[Tee hee]]

Having stopped in the street to get her bareings, and decide on her direction, Pheydre was suprised at the sudden soft impact against her legs. Stepping foward lightly to adjust her blanace, her soft eyes searched out the source and a smile spread across her lips. Kneeling down before the little one, she gave her a wink as she took the preffered hand.

"I'm honored that you were so determined to meet me Covet." She said laughingly. "Me, I'm Pheydre." She squeezed the tiny hand in her own before standing back up. Covets bright person and bright colors were immediatly endearing, but suddenly shaded by another approach.

The scarlett child-man approached with a self assured gate belonging to one with more experience than the youth his body portrayed. Her smile remained constant at his greeting but before she could give her own response yet another rushed upon the scene. It seemed she had not needed to look for people, they came to her today, how conveint.

Matador's rushed formal introduction seemed stilted and distracted, his attention seemed devided between herself and Covet and the other little one. Casting her eyes between the two, Pheydre caught sight of color in the dark scarlett hair of the man-child. The white and violet coloring was immediatly refrenced back to Covet's lovely wings.

'What mess is this that I find myself in.' She wondered, curiousty tingy her perefery.

"It is nice to meet you as well Matador." She said with a slightly bemused smile, sketching a formal curtsey before him despite the less than formal words. "I am Pheydre, and pleased to meet you all." She looked pointedly at the younger man, indicating she was missing a name from him with a slow sardonic wink.

[[She likes winking....
Phey: Yeah so *blows raspberry* ]]

.:Covet:.

Covet rolled Pheydre's name around in her head. She liked the way it flowed. Her happiness faltered when a bright crimson body appeared out of the alleyway. Covet blinked a few times at Mecca's sudden appearance, and rustled her wings nervously. They still ached a bit from her fall the day before. Her tail drooped a little, but she fought the urge to step away from him.

Why did he have to smile like that, when he knew exactly how much pain he had caused her. Her eye suddenly caught the stark sliver of contrast in his hair. Her feather! How rude, she thought, frowning a bit.

Suddenly Matador appeared in a loud rustling of bags. He greeted Pheydre briskly and Covet moved so that she was standing next to him, slipping her hand around his pinky. She knew she was safe now. She ruffled her feathers again, and kept her wings as tight to her body as she could physically manage, keeping one eye on Mecca.

midnight_medea

Mecca's wings drooped as Matador appeared. Why did he have to turn up and spoil his fun. Feigning ignorance at the tense mood that hung between the all he looked up at the new woman. Her wink annoyed him slightly. It was as if she was also looking down at him. (which technically she was.)
"My name is Mecca." He said with a slight edge to his tone. He wondered for a moment if he should try his finger biting trick. He decided it probably wasn't a good idea with Matador looking over his shoulder.

Covet's fear of him was far too obvious. That bored him emmensely. Too much of an easy target. He would obviously have to find himself a new playmate. Smirking at her he ran a finger over the feather in his hair.

Awyndion
[[Karen-chan seems to be indisposed, so we are going this round and we will see her next round]]

Pheydre hated looking down to people, and she disliked the feeling that people resented that feeling of being looked down on. Looking at Mecca, she was positive that he already resented her. She gave him a slight nod at his introduction. This was a tense group, and they all seemed to know one and other already, Pheydre was at a bit of a loss as to what to do, she wanted to settle the unsettled feelings, but she had no idea what was going on.

The actions around her gave her an idea; the way in which Covet pointedly didn?t back away from Mecca but clung to Matador, the protective air that was around Matador and the annoyed aura around Mecca. The feather in his hair was a telling mark as well.

With a quick look around the grouping, Pheydre gracefully folded her legs beneath her landing softly on the ground with her wings keeping her from falling onto the ground. She didn?t look around as if expecting them to do the same, rather her smile remained in place as she looked around them.

?It is a lovely day.? She said conversationally, trying to give them a topic, if nothing else a venue to vent in the end perhaps.

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet watched Pheydre float gently to the ground. Her first instict was to join the wonderfully happy shu and plop down in the dust, but then she saw Mecca's triumphant smirk as he stroked her feather.

She openly glared at him. How dare he flaunt her feather as if it were some sort of prize. A hot flush colored her cheeks and she immediately released Matador's finger. She suddenly ran at Mecca, reaching to take her feather back.

midnight_medea

Mecca saw the attack before she even moved. It was in her eyes, so readable. As she charged at him he got ready, tripping her up and pinning her to the ground.
"I don't think so." He said calmly returning her glare. "It's mine now."

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

"I wouldn't be so sure of that," Matador said, standing over Mecca and plucking the feather from his fingers.

Looming over the short red Shu, Matador's gazed down on him. Picking on girls was completely low class and annoying. Pushing Mecca aside, Matador instructed Covet to get up without his help. Matador didn't trust the obnoxious little boy, and he certainly was not going to take his eyes off him either.

"Keeping trophies is quite dispicable," Matador said, narrowing his violet eyes. "I pity you."

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet slowly pushed herself up from the ground, brushing the dust off of her. She studied Mecca for a moment as Matador lectured him. She was ashamed she had let herself get so angry, especially in front of Matador and Pheydre. She gave her wings a good shake to fluff the dust out of them. An apology started to form in her head, but she realized she didn't need to and that he would just scoff at it. So why waste her breath?

midnight_medea

Mecca narrowed his eyes at Matador. Who was holding the feather his feather. He could have got angry, he could have charged at Matador and taken a nice chunk out of his leg. He could have but didn't.
Brushing himself off he looked up at the other Shu. "You pity me?" He laughed. "Well then we have something in common because I pity you Matador. With your self important and patronising attitude. You disgust me as much as i disgust you." His voice was calm and without a waver of anger or emotion. He might be small now, but one day he would be bigger, stronger. Sleep in peace whilst you still can. He thought to himself as he glared at his red haired enemy. Nothing more needed to be said.

Awyndion
[[Posting out of order...must get to sleep]]

Surprise flashed in green eyes as the sudden events unfolded nearly in her lap. She began to get up to do soemthing, stop them, but then another wave of surprise crossed over her and she quickly faded out, just gone like she had first appeared.

-----------

Surprise glimmered in grey eyes as they slowly opened onto the real world. She had felt Pheydre, been Pheydre, she hadn't known she was anything but Pheydre, and she still didn't know what had pulled her out of that revery so quickly. Her heart still beat with the quick tattoo of so many emotions, reacting to others emotions. For a time she just sat there trying not to think, and trying to figure stuff out in her head

[[Alright kiddos as much as I would love to hang around and play...I'm exhausted...Love ya'll talk to you later]]

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

"Did you say something?" Matador said, tucking the feather in his breast pocket. "You're slithering too close to the ground that I didn't hear you."

Rolling his eyes, Matador merely shook his head. The little monster liked throwing around big words but he certainly didn't have the stature to back up the checks his mouth was writing. Preying on people was hardly the mark of a decent character, and the more time Matador was around Mecca, the less and less he wanted to see him.

"Covet, I'm heading back to the shop," Matador said, winking at her. "Don't stay out too late, and keep your eyes open."

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet blinked at their harsh words to each other. She hadn't meant for them to become so angry with each other. At Matador's statment she figured she should go back with him. But the day was so lovely and she had just started to play.

"Okay Matty," she said sweetly to him, giving him a bright smile. "I will. And I'll be home soon too. I still wanna play." Her eyes fell back onto Mecca. She knew she didn't really want to play with him, at least not the way he liked to "play". Torn between asking him to play with her (with the hopes that he'd actually play nice) or running off to play by herself, she remained rooted to her spot as she watched Matador walk off.

midnight_medea

"How childish." Mecca shrugged as Matador left. He knew the idiot would run rather than face him with a good comeback. So boring. Sighing Mecca looked back at Covet and raised an eyebrow. Maybe he had misjudged the other small shu.

"Not going to run off after your hero?" He asked folding his arms and glaring at her. The whole situation was rather pathetic. He really wanted his feather back.

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

Matador nodded at Covet, and walked off.

He figured that the best way to hand Mecca was not to deal with him. Walking down the street, Matador keyed into the back door of the shop and put all his purchases on the counter. The perishable foods were quickly put away, but the more he thought about Covet on her own with Mecca, the more uneasy Matador felt. Taking Covet's feather from his pocket, he examined the soft white and purple shading. Mecca let him take it back so easily that it obviously meant little to him. Finding a secure place, Matador carefully stowed the feather away.

"I don't trust that little rodent," Matador said, sighing heavily. "I better head back."
Locking up the shop, Matador returned to park area with a newspaper under his arm. If he was going to keep an eye out, he was at least going to entertain himself, too.

kalindara
After taking out some frustration on the monsters out in the wilds, Anima felt an urge for some company. Searching out traces of others, she warped herself close by. She found herself in a town and snorted in mild disgust. Of course the others would be in the 'safe' locations. How boring.

But boredom was what she was trying to relieve, so she shrugged and began walking down the street. Shop owners could be ignored, they no doubt had limited intellect and vocabulary, only what was necessary to fulfill their basic functions.

Hell, maybe the only sign of intellect would be those smart enough to notice her?

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet crossed her arms as her smile faded in the wake of Matador's departure. She faced Mecca fully, her face blank of emotion.

"No. He's not my hero. I can take care of myself," she replied to his baiting. "Do you think you could refrain from pulling out anymore of my feathers long enough for us to play together?" She arched an eyebrow. She doubted he would actually want to play with her, but at least she had made the effort.

midnight_medea

Mecca looked at the girl and thought about it for a moment. Play with the rat like things or play with her. She obviously didn't like his brand of fun.
"Maybe." He shrugged. "Want to help me burn stuff?"
His attention was caught by another figure off in the distance. "Shall we ask her to play with us too?"

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

Making his way back, Matador was relieved to see that Covet was still in one piece and not a crying, defeathered heap on the ground. Keeping his eye on the pair of them, Matador eased up on his heavy stomping. Taking his frustrations and just letting them go, Matador rubbed the harried expression from his face. Giving himself some space, Matador kicked back underneath a tree with his newspaper.

Flicking it open and taking out a pair of glasses, Matador went about reading the current events around Crescent City-- which were extremely limited in their excitement factor. Finding a review of his bar, Matador quirked an interested brow, focusing on what the critics had to say.

[ Chiyo ]

Chiyo nearly spat her coffee out when she saw Anima Denuci appear on her list of logged in avatars. Scanning the room quickly, she searched for any unfamiliar faces. Rising from her console she quickly paced the aisles, but nothing was out of place. All the students accounted for were club students, and all the avatars were the appropriately assigned ones.

"Where the hell do you come from little girl," Chiyo swore under her breath. "Such a pretty little thing you are, but what are you hiding from?"

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet eyed the new shu walking off in the distance. "No," she shook her head. "I doubt she'd help you burn stuff," she replied rolling her eyes.

"Don't you do anything other than destroy things?" she asked putting her hands on her hips. Maybe she really was better off finding something to do by herself. She stretched her wings and flipped her royal purple hair out of her face. She started to twitch her tail, getting slightly tired of the formalities she was pushing herself to preform in the face of civility.

midnight_medea
Mecca looked at her as if she had gone ever so slightly insane.
"No." He said simply. "What do you suggest we do then?" He sniffed looking around. He knew the question was potentially dangerous. What if she said making daisy chains or something stupid like that. He looked down the street. The possibly interesting newcomer appeared to have dissapeared. "And if you're going to say singing you can forget about it." He added giving a glare for good measure.

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

The review for his the bar was glowing. Matador sighed in satisfaction. Only open for one night, and Veronica was a smash success. Every category received top marks: style, service, ambiance, price, and quality. Matador was happy as pie.

"It wouldn't have been so smooth without my new assistant," Matador though aloud, keeping an eye on Covet and Mecca. "What are those two up to, anyway? It can't possibly be young love?"

Matador shook his head. Tearing the page with the review free from the paper, Matador folded it carefully and set it aside. He felt a presence near by, but when he looked around, there was no one to be found.

"Curious..."

[ Chiyo ]

"I couldn't have said it better myself, 'Matty'," Chiyo scowled.

The hacker blocked the IP address, so Chiyo was unable to trace the source of Anima's entrance. She could be entering the system from right in school for all Chiyo knew, but her hands were tied. At the end of her tether, the Astrology Club adviser felt strangled. Looking around to see if any students were moving, Chiyo opened a window and lit a cigarette. The students weren't going anywhere, but she couldn't afford to trek across campus to the teachers' lounge in the event that Anima returned.

"God this is unnerving," Chiyo said, glaring at the screen and her piles of files everywhere. "'******** hacker' nothing. ******** genius is more like it. Goddamnit I want to know how she appeared. This threatens my entire research if I can't track her."

In three drags, Chiyo killed off the first cigarette and promptly started on a second.

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Fine, Covet thought, he's interested in playing but not in anyway that she likes to play. Taking a deep breath, she stretched both her wings and arms in a cat stretch. She suddenly wrapped her little fingers into a lock of his hair and gave it a little yank. She sprinted away with an impish grin yelling, "Tag!" over her shoulder.

midnight_medea

Mecca rolled his eyes as she took her time replying. He was shocked when she yanked on the lock of his hair. It wasn't too hard, maybe she was willing to play after all. As she ran off Mecca was faced with a deision. Run after her. Which he would usually consider beneath him or walk off. He thought about this choice for a few moments before ralising somthing. Something that made him smile.

Maybe if he caught Covet he could pull her hair too. Grinning he tore after her. "Heh...is that as fast as you can run?" He yelled as he closed in on her.

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

Covet's scream of 'tag' caught Matador's attention from the article on skin and hair care tips for men. They were playing a children's game. Finally, they acted like look: cute and energetic. He was up for playing games, but ones that involved rolling around with an amazing woman. However, the location wouldn't matter now that he thought of it. A bemused smile crept across his lips as the images of the women he'd met scrolled through his mind.

"I wonder if chasing after women is that easy," Matador mused, watching Mecca actually smiling and playing along. "The ones that runaway are always the ones who break your hearts. I don't know which one I should worry about more."

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet ran off, giggling happily. True this wasn't how she would normally play tag, but at least she had finally managed to get a genuine smile out of Mecca. She hazarded a glance over her shoulder at his shout to see that he was coming after her at a flat out sprint, closing the space between them.

"Eeek!" she shreiked, running around a tree, pushing herself to run faster.

midnight_medea

Mecca was gaining on her fast before she dissapeared around the tree. Letting out an evil cackle he followed her determined to tag her back and give her pretty purple hair a good hard yank. He rushed passed Matador, sticking his tongue out as he went. Heh, stupid man, trying to play bodyguard. It would be so easy to reach out and yank his hair to tag him.

Mecca decided against it. He'd probably just get all superior on him again. Turning his full attention back to Covet he picked up speed. She was fast, he was slightly faster. He closed the distance swiftly and reached out to take hold of her purple hair.

Too bad he didn't see the rock. Tripping he went flying forwards into a ball knocking Covet's feet out from under her and coming to a rather undignified halt against a brick wall.

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

"You know, you're actually kind of cute when you aren't being a little b*****d," Madator said, endearingly to Mecca.

He didn't expect a positive response since basically everything short of giving the kid free food and drink, merely worked against him. Matador wondered if Covet was actually aware that she was playing with a maniac. If she got hurt this time, he decided that she'd deal with it. It took a great feat of strength to suppress the laughter when he watched Mecca take a dive. 'That's one way to sweep a gal off her feet' he thought, chuckling to himself.

"You two all right over there?" Matador said, rising to his feet. "That was a nasty spill."

ceedabear

.:Covet:.

Covet fell backwards, managing to fall on her hands instead of her wings this time. She swung her head back and looked at Matador upside down. "I'm alright," she grinned at him. She pushed herself forward and tucked her knees underneath her. She looked down at her palms as they started to sting and noticed a little red dot on the base of her left one. She had scraped them up by falling down on them, but she shrugged it off and looked at Mecca who was crumpled at the base of a brick wall. She crawled over to him and mock glared at him.

"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" she accused, softly. "You're still it," she grinned and sprang to her feet. She offered her hand to Mecca to help him up to his feet.

midnight_medea

Mecca was not exactly all right. He'd managed to smack his face and caused his nose to bleed a little. Not to mention the scrapes. Looking up through his hair he gave an evil grin.
"If I had done that on purpose you would be the one bleeding, not me." He said in his usual smooth manner.
Taking her hand he pulled himself up and used her as leverage. Pulling himself forward he grabbed her hair and pulled. Hard.
"HAHA....you're it now." He cackled running off and away from the two of them. He had purposefully ignored Matador. Tired of having to reply to his patronising comments. This game was much, much more fun.

kaleidoscopegrl
[ Matador ]

Shrugging his shoulders, Matador was about to take his seat again when he saw Mecca pull Covet's hair. His blood boiled within him, after warning Covet she still wanted to play with fire. That was her own business as Matador was not her father. Clenching his fists and gritting his teeth, he simply shook his vibrant ruby mane and resumed his seat.

"If that's the way your going to play... fine," Matador said aloud but more to himself, snatching his paper up again. "I want no part of it."

Looking at the sky and the surrounding area, Matador wished someone his own age would show up. Like Enoch... or the mysterious Pheydre... hell, he'd even settle for Devaki provided he talk to her without her head exploding. Haru was a cool guy to talk to as well.

"Oh well, right?" he said, flicking the pages and folding back the entertainment section.

.:Covet:.

Covet rubbed her head where he had pulled her hair. Her eyes had watered a bit, but it hadn't hurt enough to cry over. Besides, she had started it. She watched Mecca take off through the trees.

She looked over at Matador and went over to him. She plopped down in his lap, crushing his newspaper and wrapped her teal tiger striped arms around his neck. She gave him a sparkling smile and started to twirl some of his ruby red hair in her little fingers.

"Would you like to play with us?" she asked him, batting her eyelashes up at him. "I'd like it if you played with us." She saw a crimson body dart between some trees. She'd have to give chase soon, or she knew Mecca would lose interest in the game.

Mecca was having emense fun being the one to run away. His body still ached from his crash but he didn't care. He liked playing among the trees.

Matador's attention quickly returned as Covet leapt into his arms. The news print slipped from his fingers, and crumpled beneath her. He was relieved that the review was in a separate pile. First Scone and now Mecca and Covet-- not that Matador minded her company-- but he felt more like a babysitter than anything else.

"I'm having so much fun merely watching." Matador said returning Covet's smile with his own brilliant one. "I'm too old to run around with you two."

Covet's fingers were soothing in his hair, though he wished it was someone his age and not the angelic face of a child. He could only imagine what some people would think of the sight. Matador got enough flack for the way he dressed and the way he spoke, the last thing he needed was people thinking he was a ***** as well.

"I'm suprised Mecca's playing so nicely," Matador whispered. "I didn't think it was possible. You better catch him before he vanishes."

.:Covet:.

"You're not too old," she smiled charmingly. "You know you want to play instead of sitting here reading that boring old newspaper." She bounced up to her feet and grabbed his hand. "Please Matty?" she begged, tugging on his hand. A flash of crimson caught her eye. With one last pleading look at Matador, she released his hand and bolted after Mecca. He would pay for pulling her hair that hard.

Mecca had stopped just beyond the trees, wondering what she was doing. She was sat with matador. Was she asking him to play? It didn't seem like he was interested. Mecca didn't see why he didn't just go home. Lost in his thoughts he didn't see Covet leave Matador's arms. In fact he couldn't see her at all.

This wasn't good You should never lose sight of your oponant. It gave them power. Mecca didn't like losing control. Folding his arms he glared through the trees trying to spot her.

Port Cephei Path of the Stars & Path of the Arcane
A thriving merchant point. Airships with white sails and boats alike call this city home. It is more technologically advanced than other cities. The town has a famous tea house filled with fortune tellers. You can buy almost anything here, and magic is rare on the surface. Underground, though, there is a Magic School that powers the entire city.

Mecca had found a new playground. The viberant port of Cephi. Thriving with all kinds of life, smells and vermin. It was truely beautiful. The backstreets especially. Shady bars for doing shadier deals nestled together made a haven for small creatures that no one would miss.

It was in these backstreets that Mecca lurked. Seeking out the shadows and whatever hid within them. It had been a very fruitful day. He had even found another small Shu to terrorize until its whimpering got boring and he gave up. Smiling to himself he made his way to the huge teahouse on sea front. He was in need of refreshment after a hard day's play.

User ImageDevaki was down by the sea today. If she couldn't be found galavanting through the forest, she was more than likely going to be by the sea's side. She loved to watch the rolling waves, gently teasing the crabs and birds with its frothy edge.

A smile slowly spread across her lips...blue would be a much better colour...far better than green... she thought idly. Closing her eyes she reached back and released the clasp from her hair, letting the wind catch it and twirl it betweens it's fingers. Such a beautiful day.

.:Covet:.

Covet had never been to the sea before. She was captivated by the ports with their colorful array of activity, words, and smells. It was nothing she had ever experienced before. She wandered idly through the city, with no intent other than to try to see everything all at once. Following a beach side street, she happened to turn her head at just the right moment to spy a familiar red shu. She thought about running up to Mecca to cheerfully greet him, but thought better of it. Her day had been too exciting to mess with him. But she decided to follow him from a distance, just to see what he was up to and what kind of mood he was in.

Mecca turned off the side street and out onto the waterfront. It was indeed a beautiful day. So much prey to choose from, out and about. Mecca felt quite spoiled for choice. It was then that it caught his eye. The green Shu. The one he owed such a pleasurable debt to.

Her beautiful long hair flying about her as she looked out to sea. He grinned. He knew he wasn't ready to repay her yet, but keeping her in his sights wouldn't hurt. That was the way it worked. Always keep your prey in your sights. No matter how long it takes you to stalk them.
Approaching her from behind he folded his arms and flexed his wings a little.
"Have you ever been on one of those?" He asked gesturing to one of the imposing airships that sailed above.

Dev didn't move as the Mecca approached. She was fairly decent at reading the vibes of others, and his didn't seem too malicious..not like the other day anyway. Smiling, she responded, her voice was calm, but there was a very very faint hint of excitment to it. "No... I haven't, but one day I hope to. What about you?"

Covet watched as Mecca approached the lovely Devaki. Well, regardless that Mecca was present, she was excited to see her green friend and made her way over to the two shus. She planted herself next to Devaki with a broad smile.

"Hi Devaki... Mecca," she said casting a glance over to him. "What are you doing today?" she asked brightly.

Mecca nodded. For once not fixated by her hair but by the airship. It was truely beautifu, with its white sails. Gliding so easily through the sky. Much easier than a boat through water.
"One day." He agreed imagining all of the places he could explore if he could travel on one. "Just watching them makes me restless."

Hearing Covet's voice he turned and smiled. Although he was not in a malicious mood the smile was still cold and emotionless.
"Nothing much." He shrugged turning his attention back to the airship. "You?"

Mordavrin
User ImageDevaki stole a glance at Mecca. He was fixated on the airship, so unlike the character she'd seen these past few days. ...interesting... she thought.

Hearing a perky voice on her other side Devaki gazed over, and wasn't surprised to find Covet firmly planted in the sand with a smile on her face. "Well hello again Covet." She smiled, then gazed back up at the airship. "We're wondering what it must be like to ride in one of those.." She pointed up to the ship in the sky.

Covet followed their eyes up to the airship and she too was taken by its graceful beauty. She gave a small shudder. Heights were not her friend.

"I don't know," she shrugged. "It seems kinda scary to be so high up off the ground. Have you been down by the docks?" she asked, turning her head back to the ships rocking gently with the tides. They were more her style.
