Outside of the mandatory courses, players can host ORPs of classes to partake in. Unlike the prompt responses found in the mandatory classes, these ORPs can expand upon much of the mandatory course material or cover new subjects entirely.
The individual classes offered by the Military Academy, which you can base ORPs on, are as follows:
3DMG theory and practical
Read About it in: Mandatory Course: 3D Maneuver Gear Training
NPC Instructors: Santos Baldy (Practical), Gazelle Thomson (Theory)
TAs: Shun Kuroda (Theory and Practical)
Survival Basics
Hand-to-Hand Combat
Read About it in: Mandatory Course: Survival Training
NPC Instructors: Santos (Practical), Ervette Phaedra (Theory)
TAs:
First Aid
Riding
Phys Ed
The daily military workout follows a strict routine meant to tone your body, train endurance, teach trainees the value of discipline, and harden them against impact and whiplash.
NPC Instructors: Santos Baldy
TAs:
Artillery
Practical class. Students learn to operate, aim, fire and maintain flintlock rifle and cannons. They also learn to use flares.
NPC Instructors: Thistle d'Aster
TAs:
Leadership and Strategy
Theory class. Students are taught battlefield strategy and real-time tactics concerning human opponents as well as titans. A lot of students sleep through this class... Anyways, they are taught about group dynamics and leadership methods as well. Evaluation for this class is actually done by noting student's application of the theory through their behaviour in practical classes.

You can see a list of NPCs including the ones mentioned above, here.
Both staff and regular players can create ORPs for these classes. The classes can differ from each other from day to day; details on that class' activities in an optional class RP will be up to the individual host.
█ ▌Teaching Assistants
The military promotes the use of trainees as TAs (teaching assistants). This supplements a monthly income to those who need it, helps take the load off the instructor's shoulders, and trains a student's management skills.
If your character is taking the role of a Teaching Assistant, you may still RP the NPC teacher if you wish to, but should primarily act as your own character. (If you are hosting a class ORP without a Teaching Assistant character, it is up to you to RP the NPC teacher as the instructor.)
What is a teaching assistant?
- ▌Teaching Assistants are given instructions by the professor on the class' scheduled activities for each class they they help teach, as well as the guidelines for evaluation of their peers. They are not supposed to improvise their own class material, even though OOCly as the host (the TA's player), you decide what the curriculum is. Their instructions come on a clipboard which the TA will typically be carrying around.
▌ICly you may have your TA deviate from the teacher's instructions but if they get found out, it is punishable and that trainee will probably not TA again. If they don't get found out all is dandy.
▌There are unlimited positions as Teaching Assistants per class. There can be multiple hosts for a same thread of that class, or have multiple people hosting different instances of the class.
▌Anyone can be a TA. You are not expected to perform better than your peers in the subject in order to become a teaching assistant; it is not a skill-based position. Rather, it is interest-based.
To host a class as a Teaching Assistant, post in this thread for approval.
