HISTORY What has been and always will..
Nova Academy was established long ago in a galaxy far far away...or if you listen to Bomir it was. Much is still unknown about the academy but with each day Bomir creates more of a log for the inhabitants here on Earth to learn from. For now there is a golden paged book in the library of SA that holds a few secrets of the alien academy.
So for those that that wish to learn have your fill of knowledge...........
* Nova Academy is a boarding school in the comquat quadrant. While residing in the same galaxy as our planet, no one at Nova Academy comes from our planet. Which means there are / were and will be no HUMANS that come from Nova Academy. (Or anyone from Earth-)
* Nova academy was established many many years before any student that has came from there attended. As in the current 'transfer' students great great great grandparents likely attended the school when it was new.
*Nova academy grows with its students, as in, the more they develop the more upgraded the school gets. So its not a billion year old building, its actually a very high-tech building.
* Nova students come from planets all around and might be from backgrounds that clash. However, Nova Academy is a neutral place where all walks of life can learn and grow while hopefully growing bonds to take home with them. Which means you might be classmates with your worst enemy but you know better than to start trouble.
* Nova's school's colors are pink and turquoise. All arriving Aliens will LIKELY be dressed in such, though they do not have to be!

Helpful Information What? How! Who?!..
Floofies :: are very clean creatures and like to take care of their owner's by keeping them organized and tidy. They'll keep your clothes washed and books organized, even if their organization methods aren't quite what you'd have in mind... They have a tendency to reorganize or rebuild things. They may give haircuts in your sleep or decorate things without taking into consideration what you might want. There were plenty on the ship, serving as flight crew and maintenance so now Nagataur and Flo have passed them out to students to take care of.
*Only the first batch of Students have Floofies. No other aliens will likely obtain them at this time. They are like minipets essentially, they can be rped, but they do not have 'superpowers' persay.
Why did the first batch of Aliens come?:: They came on a trip that was intended to explore gas that is rare in other parts of the galaxy, such as Xenon and Radon. It was only going to be a two-day ordeal, but now they ended up stranded here and having to get used to the other students.
Were they offered to go home, when the next ships arrived?: They were offered to go back, however, chose to stay for whatever reason.
How long have the first batch been on Earth?:: Technically by shop new time laws they have been on Earth for about ( insert time here )
Disguise? :: EVERY Alien that enters Sidekick academy will be given a holowatch! You can automatically assume this. Aliens will need a different appearance in order to conceal their natural forms from the outside world of course! Will this art be provided for you or be on a cert? No. SA will not provide your characters human appearance, it is up to you to obtain art if you so choose! However just a written description is perfectly acceptable!
So can they be quested for? :: Not at this time. Aliens are RARE and event only!
What if I need something / have a plot pertaining to my Alien character that might need staff approval and or aid!?: You should pm Cheekiebirdiee with your ideas, they will be discussed and you can go from there!

Back log We came, we saw..will we conquer?..
Our First Arrival:
A tall, monstrous creature emerged from the ship wreck. A little late, but her sleep chamber had been awfully comfy. Snake eyes scanned the buildings, using heat vision to find her students...and a lot more students that weren't hers. At least, they were about the ages she taught. There also seemed to be heat radiating along the pathway. Traps! Her students were in danger!
Only after she had gathered all her students safely outside the buildings, and once she had heard the stories of what they'd seen, did she give the place a second consideration. It seemed to be a school, too. Smaller than perhaps Nova Academy had been, but willing to take in all types.
She got her students cleaned up and calmed down while taking a look at the ship Floofies' reports. Seems their fuel had sprung a leak. And unless they could find someone with the delicate know-how to repair a 5-year-old model of their engine (a pretty big feat even in the comquat quadrant), it seemed like they were stranded.
"Alright students," she announced, piercing each of them with a hard look, "it looks like we're going to be here awhile. Without fuel, we can't even get the generators going to attempt to call the school. Our best bet is to make friendly with the residents here. I expect you all to stay close and not get cocky. There is a rather unorthodox alarm system here. While we could set it off and get a meeting underway, I've decided I'd rather not wake them. In the morning, we'll venture out."
By assigning Floofies to the students, Nagataur was able to keep both groups under control. Having their way, the students would have cause all sorts of trouble exploring and getting into the traps. While the Floofie would have started rebuilding the ship...into a ferris wheel or something. No, no, better she kept them repairing the blue-and-pink uniforms that had been damaged in the crash while she gathered up the rest of the student's over-night bags.
Setting out, the group made their way to the pathway, using her gun to take out any traps until they had gained the attention of a certain white-haired security expert...
~~~
"...and that's the situation. I have students that were meant home tomorrow, a ship that won't start, and no way to contact the school or their parents," Nagataur explained with a sigh.
If Binary was repulsed, freaked, or angry, he managed to hide it. He merely listened, murmuring in the right places. He glanced over at the strange group, milling around and managing a type of boredom only capable by teenagers. "Your students seem intelligent enough, I'm sure they can handle a new setting for their education."
"Are your students 'intelligent enough'?" she challenged. "At Nova Academy, students are allowed to study with peers they might not have met otherwise. From recluse planets to warring planets; it has always been our goal to educate and hopefully expand their horizons. But being on a planet that has no advanced space policy seems a bit backwards."
Binary tilted his head, interested. The...lady...had seemed just as calm and controlled has he, but now she was showing her true colors--nevermind her uncanny ability to shift her scale's hues. It seemed she had a poor opinion of their "ignorant" planet. "I can assure you," he spoke, voice dropping to a dangerous challenge," that our staff and our students are quite capable of handling the different and otherwise unknown. Sidekick Academy was founded as a safe-haven for the young to learn and grow, much like your own Nova Academy. Should you choose to accept our accommodations, you'll find the other students as gracious and open-minded as your own--of course, I'm sure there will always be exceptions." He gestured his hand. "Miss? Look at your surroundings. This is a school for freaks to learn to fight other freaks that do harm. We're not interested in politics. I can personally assure you that your students are welcome here to learn and grow and I will personally work with your--" he cut off, noticing the Floofies for the first time, "--your flight crew to either get you back or in contact with your school." He handed her a clip board with forms. "Until then, please let me know any allergies for your students while I wake the staff."
There's flashing lights in the sky... but this time there's more, and they don't seem friendly. Roughly one year after the alien students from Nova Academy crashed, their home planets have finally located the source of their distress signal. They seem to have misinterpreted it one way or another; needless to say, they do not come in peace! Hostile as they may be, they want nothing more than their precious babies returned, and there's no one better for the job than the people of Sidekick Academy!
As the youths of SA filed into headquarters, bruised and beaten or just plain exhausted after a long struggle with their "guests" from outer space, they were greeted by the Founders and a number of unfamiliar alien faces in the background. One of the aliens was so large, his shadow loomed over everyone nearby, even the Captain. A smaller figure stood next to him, eyes gleaming quiety in the shadow.
Once all the teams of students were accounted for and present, the Captain stepped forward and there was an immediate hush as he beamed brilliantly, in the way a proud father would his flock of (rather battered) children.
"The team and I would like to congratulate and praise all of you for your bravery today. Because of your quick response and diplomacy, we were able to reach the commanding officer and leaders of this new alien group that have landed on our premises with minimal... uh, casualties."
Several kids in front sporting very obviously large bruises and welts groaned loudly.
The Captain hurriedly cleared his throat. "So um, good job. Anyway, after explaining that their students from Nova Academy have not come to harm and have been studying at our academy, we've come to some... ah, agreements. Some of our interstellar friends here would like to stay, while the others will go back to where they came from. In return for extending our hospitality while they prep, they will help with repairs to the campus while contributing to your study of extraterrestrial life outside of earth. It's a win-win situation for all of us, isn't it?"
The Captain smiled warmly around the room. Next to him, Binary's eyebrows were furrowed into a deep crease, clearly disagreeing with his sunny partner.
"Let this be a stern warning to all of you," he cut in with clipped tones. "This situation is to be kept strictly under wraps. Speak of this to no one. Breathe a single word and our situation will become most... inconvenient."
Phoenix rolled her eyes. Really, that was totally unnecessary (and somewhat overdramatic) when these kids were hardly the kind to blabber about secrets; how could they, when they themselves were a secret. She continued where Binary left off, steamrolling over his curtness with her own brand of optimism.
"We'd also like to take this opportunity to introduce two of Nova Academy's leaders who will be joining the teaching staff," she chipped in. "They have been most generous in volunteering to stay behind and mentor us on the various subjects you could never hope to learn from even the best of earthlings. Please welcome, Bomir and Sloth."
Phoenix scooted aside as the large beastly alien took a slow heavy step forward, revealing sandy-tan colored fur and a set of wicked looking horns. He (it?) blinked slowly with heavy eyelids, and swept his gaze across the room once, so slowly it was almost painful to watch. A few kids who'd had the poor luck of confronting it (him?) during the battle flinched, half expecting him to charge at them with the unnatural speed he displayed earlier for one so achingly slow.
But he never spoke. Instead, he simply sidestepped, allowing a smaller alien to be better seen when not in his shadow. This one was of more human proportions, with dark, glowing skin and luminous purple eyes. His whitish-gray dreads were tied back neatly with a few stray strands framing a thin face, and a set of impressive looking horns protruded from the sides of his head. He stared down imperiously for a moment at the enraptured audience before him, and then he spoke, quiet and dignified.
"Greetings, earthlings of Sidekick Academy. I am Bomir, and next to me is Sloth. Your mentors have been most gracious in allowing some of us to stay here and on behalf of my crew, we thank you."
He gave a slight bow, and there was some dispersed polite clapping from his audience. "As promised," he continued, "we will do what we can to repair the damage that has been done to your land, as well as impart what knowledge we possess to you as we deem fit. In exchange, we hope to be treated as equals as we learn your ways."
The tiniest of an exchange happened right then, but you'd never have caught it if you weren't watching Binary like a hawk.
The brief hardness in Bomir's eyes melted just as quickly as it came, and his lips quirked upward in what seemed to be an attempt to smile.
"Thank you," he concluded, and stepped back into line. Another round of polite applause went around the room.
"That's all for tonight then," the Captain announced brightly with a loud clap as students began to shuffle out the room impatiently, wanting nothing more than to rest their weary bones. "Please go back to your rooms for a well-deserved rest. We have a long day of reconstructing and patching up ahead of us tomorrow!"
Loud noises of protest could be heard all the way after the exit of the control room.
Present:
Currently, we are here in peace in attempts to gain more knowledge. We offer our own in return, most of it anyways. Classes are being held for the aliens of Earth through our Nova mentors to teach them how to speak the various languages.
Alien students are encouraged to explore this world to its fullest, while they are here, for its currently known when they will return home.
Current Alien Student / Teacher 'transfers' They are among us....learning our way of life.
Teachers: Bomir, Nova Academy Counselor & Teacher - Current Counselor Substitute for Sidekick Academy and Teacher. A wise and older alien, his powers consist of telekinesis and extensive knowledge of the universe at large. Now that he's here on Earth, he typically spends his time wandering around the school and the cities. When not exploring to expand his knowledge of Earth, he is at the school offering lessons in English to the alien children and other classes.
Sloth, Nova Academy Combat Specialist Though he may not look it with his large build and gentle (lazy) demeanor, Sloth is a fierce fighting machine. In battle, as witnessed by a few students already, he moves with unbelievable speed and power for one so mammoth. (He even has the horns to boot!) When he's not commanding or strategizing some mission, he is lazily keeping an eye on his students.
Nagataur, Back at Nova Academy. Nagataur was the first teacher to come from Nova and a marksmith. She went back on the second ship that landed on Earth.
