Ethelfleade likes to consider herself a jack of all trades. She is surprisingly well rounded but has a tendency to hold grudges. She is a very strong willed girl who tends to have strong opinions as well. Fleade is over all a nice person, but once you get on her bad side, good luck trying to get off that list! But once you're her friend, you'll always have a loyal friend you can call on no matter what. It would take some horrific event to change her mind. She's kind, but holds grudges and loyal to no end with a bit of an adventurous spirit.

Coming from a small Ice tribe, with a rather small family, Fleade lived mostly with one of her parents at a time. Growing up, her parents didn't like the idea of leaving their daughter all alone, so they would alternate who works. It was a rare and special treat for the whole family to be together. She has also been told she has an older brother she has never met. Fleade hopes to one day find and meet him when she travels Tendaji. Her plans have gotten interrupted by the war, but she still gets to see some of Tendaji for which she's grateful.
