SDRP Holiday 2013 Walk-in RP"You know Dasher and Dancer and Comet and Cupid . . ."
Just a quiet time of celebrations and festivities. Some performances might be arranged later on in the auditorium and gift-giving event mights abound, but for now the most of us are simply here to have a good time. Grab a cup of hot cocoa from the lady behind the lunch counter and join us in weaving a tale of carols and wonders. "Rudolph the red nose reindeer. . . You'll go down in history!"
---- Please take some time to sign our guestbook: To return to the main event thread:

Story:The SDRP Academy had declined into a mess, but it has been slowly recovering. The faceless nobodies are still milling about, but no longer were the school grounds quite as decrepit as they were a few months back. Dustbunnies are still being cleared out, but enough of the cafeteria and the auditorium had been renovated in order to accommodate for the events that would conclude another year at the school.
The weather outside was currently delightful, with tiny snowflakes now dropping from the sky like tiny feathers, but weather warnings heralded danger up ahead. No one paid the weather man much mind though, as the school's occupants, dedicated writers, students and staff alike, were just starting to unwind and enjoy themselves after the work put into bringing back the school halls to life again. . .

Setting:Just some quick prompts for certain locations in the school. Feel free to exercise some artistic freedom or to add more locations if necessary! Cafeteria: hot cocoa is free but you'll have to pay for the cookies, lattes, cakes and other delights! Did we mention that the lunch lady doesn't accept cash? Auditorium: green, red, and white streamers hang from the ceiling. A giant banner with the words "Happy Holidays" stretch across the ceiling above the stage. Equipment for the projector has been set up but nothing is currently playing in it. Library: still dusty and needs a sweeping. Quad: an open area surrounded on three sides by campus buildings. A campfire has been set up in the center, perfect for warming hands and roasting marshmallows. Gymnasium: There are several indoor gymnasiums at the Academy, all located in one region of the school. Separate gyms are for different things: some are equipped with weights and other fitness equipment, while others are spacious and have two basketball hoops hanging at opposite ends of the room, and with the proper set up can be geared for volleyball, badminton, tennis, etc. Music Room: The music rooms are located in a separate wing. The Academy has equipment for bands and orchestras alike. The rooms and equipment seem to come and go as people need them.

Rules/Guidelines:Follow the Gaia ToS and the guild rules. Time skip if it gets hot and heavy, and no taking it to PMs. No curb on swearing. No godmodding, no autohitting. Please respect everyone. At least size ten font is appreciated. Try your best to write literately. If you make a post and no one's character has approached you, try approaching them. The SDRP crew have the final say in this RP. More rules may be added but they will be announced.

"Um say… what just happened?"
A boy of age 17 stood at the lunch counter. He wasn't too sure how it happened, but somehow it did. Instead of being in front of the lunch counter, where the line was, Zane Vincent was behind it, where the lunch lady usually stood. He was outfitted with a santa hat, a pink apron, and an ice cream scoop. The device seemed to go well with the mash potatoes in front of him. It would appear that it was his job to scoop the food for the other students.
"This is a new low!" he shouted at no one in particular. He wasn't too sure what he did to deserve this.

Scott breathed out a puff of warm air as he trudged through the snow. He was wearing his normal attire: suit jacket, dress shoes, white button-down shirt, black bow tie, and for the weather, Scott had on a black and white striped scarf.
A cold gust a wind blew against Scott, chilling him to the bone. He couldn't wait to get inside the hopefully warm academy. Scott's competitive amber eyes darted around the landscape laid out before him.
The trees were black and bare, their branches like claws tearing at the sky. The sky was white as the tiny snowflakes came down. The ground was starting to pile up with snow, and so were the trees. The school looked alive and vibrant, being that it was all lit up and decorated with festive assortments.
Scott reached the door to the building and pulled it open. There was no resistance at all within the door's hinges. Scott hurried inside and was at a loss of where to go. Perhaps I'll go to the library and start dusting.
Scott hurried down countless hallways, hoping to arrive at his destination soon. After five minutes, Scott stood in front of the library's luminous set of double doors. He took a deep breath before stepping inside and flipping on the lights. everything seemed to come to life. However, the library still looked forgotten and abandoned with all of the dust.
Scott threw off his scarf and watched as it landed on the back of a small wooden chair nearby. He rushed up to the checkout desk and grabbed a duster. He then ran over to the nearest shelf and began to dust the shelves.

Troy was wandering around the quad, the place with the best place to hang out in his opinion. More space, less teachers. However, it was mostly empty, and nobody looked interesting to talk to. He would have walked to the Cafeteria or Auditorium, but that would require either eating or figuring out what the projector he had seen there was for, neither of which sounded appealing to him. So, instead, he headed towards the library. Supposedly it was very dusty in there... perfect way to get in trouble, yes, but also the perfect way for a prank. He walked through the snow, hiding his face in his blue scarf, towards the library. As he opened the doors, he removed his head from behind the scarf and breathed, only to have his lungs filled with dust. He coughed, then realized that nobody was there. No, after another scan of the room he saw... one person. A very.... tall... man with shaggy blonde hair, almost like his own. He was dusting. Perfect. Troy grabbed an extremely dusty book off the shelf and walked over to him. "Wassup stranger?" He said, hiding the book behind his back. Dumpling-San I was going to bring Gavin, but then I realized that she's not in school anymore. Or maybe I just wanted to enter my favorite role-play character XD

Scott turned around quickly at the sound of a voice. It was a boy like him with blonde hair and amber eyes. His voice was full of impish mischief. "Hello. How may I help you?" He turned back around and ferociously dusted, coughing more and more as he continued.

Troy rolled on his heels. "Nothin' much. You?" He said, looking at what he was dusting. 'Neat freak?' He thought with a laugh. He opened the book he was holding and pretended to read it.

Scott coughed some more before replying. "You do know that I didn't ask what you were doing, but whatever. I'm dusting the library due to an unfortunate accident a while back." Scott paused his dusting and turned to face Troy. "What's your name? I've gone to this school for as long as I can remember, yet I don't seem to know you."

Dumpling-San Oops, I meant to write probably not XD Troy shrugged. "Yeah, but I didn't wanna answer that one. So I pretended like you didn't ask." He said, crossing his arms. "Oh yeah, I heard about that." He said, not diving too far into the topic. He had only heard rumors, not much actual facts. He dropped the book on the floor, creating a large dust cloud. It didn't go as he had planned though. He had meant for it to create dust where Scott had been dusting, but unfortunately it just layered more dust everywhere else. "Name? Troy. Troy Faber." He said in his German accent.

Scott eyed Troy as he dropped the book. "Seriously, Troy? Even I could have gotten dust where I have been dusting for the past five minutes. Now, it is rude to ignore the questions being asked to you." Scott crossed his arms and tapped his foot, he was getting ready to heat up. "I'm Scott Auguste. Nice to meet you." Scott didn't offer his hand or anything.

Troy laughed. "Yeah, my aims a bit off today. And I'm sorry. I guess...." He said, shaking his head. "Nice to meet you to. I was unaware that in this country they don't shake hands." He said, holding out his own hand.

Scott laughed and accepted the handshake. "Well, I was testing you when I heard your accent. I didn't know if in Germany everyone shook hands or anything. Well, I know that they do in Austria." He stopped rambling for a moment. "Sorry about that. I like to read, so I know a lot of facts, most of which are useless." He rubbed the back of his neck apologetically.
