★ Name: Trace ★ Pronunciation: Self-explanatory ★ Name Meaning: "Thracius' place" in English or "warlike, fierce" in Gaelic; it is used as a pun off the word tres, the Latin/Spanish word for "three" and the start of the hour of the wolf ★ Gender: Male ★ Stage: Child ★ Sexuality/Status: Unknown / Single ★ Height: 4' 6" ★ Weight: As an active street kid, he still falls in the "below average" category ★ Pokémon: Poochyena ★ Nature: Modest (unostentatious)
★ Myers-Briggs Type:ENTJ, though open to sensing & borderline perceiving (rational type, fieldmarshal role-variant) ★ Personality: Trace is the type of pokémon who rarely seems to get bored of a situation. He can find points of interest or observation with relative ease, and doesn't tire of learning new things or new aspects of the known. A very open-minded individual, the poochyena has fallen into the role of "mediator" for his small gang, and is considered the second-in-command after Arashi. It is not difficult for him to automatically look at both sides of a situation to judge fairly based on what facts are brought to the table, and attempts at keeping bias out of the equation as much as possible, diffusing many situations with little difficulty. His ingrained policy is that things are only worthy of disbelief once proven to be so, but he is not gullible. Trace is responsible, reliable, and capable of burying fear in a tense situation. If he is comfortable with it or deems a situation calls for the stress relief, Trace can be quick to add snarky sarcasm or a corny joke to liven things up. ★ Likes: Most of Trace's apparent areas of fondness stem from his enjoyment of expanding his own pool of knowledge. He is apt to try new things or gain interest in those he had none in if it proved to show a side of life he had no prior knowledge in, much the curious pokémon. Due to the receptive outlook, his current hobbies tend to fluctuate and expand. While he doesn't tend to enjoy battling, Trace likes to know when his skills have improved enough to be of greater use than previous testing may have resulted in. ★ Dislikes: Very few situations are taken without a grain of salt, and considering the impartial hard-wiring, Trace doesn't tend to take things personally unless harm is aimed toward an acquaintance. Of course, such a situation would count as a dislike, for camaraderie is crucial. There is a straight-up hatred for guilt that Trace harbors, especially in reference to himself: he feels that he is responsible for himself and his own well-being. If he gets upset, or hurt, or has to enact upon a sense of responsibility, it is never, ever anyone's fault but his own. Due to this, he has a tendency of worrying a bit too much over smaller details. ★ Other Quirks: Living on the streets within an alleyway street gang, many of Trace's ideas and notions of normalcy are unconventional. He is aware of what the average lifestyle tends to entail and respects it, but he isn't ashamed of how he lives his own life, and his blunt comments may reveal as much. He is a strategist but can usually plan better in the midst of such a conflict that may benefit from the forethought. Trace much prefers structure in his life, but rarely has the chance to experience it: he works better without said structuring, "on the fly."

The downtown city streets of Meteorite's Cradle are as close as you're going to get to an adequate replacement for a trainer. Or a house, for that matter. Trace prefers to stick with being reliant on himself and the bonds he makes.

There is not much history to speak of that is not still commonplace in everyday life; Trace's early life parallels the current. The poochyena lacks the knowledge of what lies outside the borders of the city aside from word-of-mouth. He was born for street life, and through experience and practice, has never known any other way. While Trace's gang is not necessarily looked upon with approving eyes, it is a part of who he is, and he would not likely change the lifestyle willingly. He'll fight tooth and nail for it, if he has to.

Trace's family consists solely of his gang members, past and present. Blood relations are widely unknown, and the poochyena has no real qualms with that. After all, family is what you make of it, and that's what he's going to stick by.
★ Name: Arashi ★ Stage: Child ★ Height: 4' 4 ½" ★ Weight: Light and springy ★ Species: Eevee ★ Occupation: Gang leader ★ Relation: Trace's teammate ★ Personality: Very strong-willed and carefree, Arashi likes to keep himself open to new ideas as long as he can take a firm grip on his own few beliefs. He is a bull-headed pokémon with a lot of pride, but while he tends to hold himself in high esteem, he is not above acknowledging great strengths in others; to him, there is no "best" out there, but there are many strong candidates. Arashi holds his independence in very high regards, and dislikes feeling trapped or backed into a corner. When scared or in a panic, he defaults to using force, even if he knows it isn't a bright idea. Despite being able to analyze himself like the best of them, Arashi is hindered by his inability to be true to his feelings, giving more attention to pride than what he may otherwise really want.

Arashi - The appointed leader of the small gang, Trace likely places more trust in his fellow compatriot than he should. Trace takes directive from Arashi more than is otherwise evident, and while Trace will act of his own accord, it is not usually without the whole of the gang in mind in response to penalty of his actions. Conrad - The warehouse worker seemed well-meaning in his offers of aid, and Trace couldn't see any signs of doublecrossing in the way he acted. While the poochyena would be apt to take the teenager up on his offer of help on these mean streets, Arashi would be less likely. Chayyim - The burmy and the poochyena were quick to become allies due to similarities in thinking processes and open-mindedness, even going so far as to offer to be each other's mentor in different respects. Trace can learn to read as long as he can give Chayyim some pointers on the battlefront! Despite the... uneasy way the meeting ended, good terms were not sullied. ☾Tour of the Home P o s t 1 2
Trace lives in the downtown area of the port city Meteorite's Cradle, a section of the town that has gathered its fair share of bad reputations over the years. He and his gang normally take to the back alleys, out of immediate sight of those passing through the area, but may take refuge in one of the warehouses in the blocks around their main hub during harsher weather conditions. There is no real "main base," and living situations are flexible to allow for the unexpected.

Trace travels light, for many objects he may have otherwise wished to hold onto would have long since been misplaced, by accident or by mishap. In his world, it is best to let go of physical amenities if you want to save your skin. Regardless, he may travel with the bare minimum necessities if they prove to be essential or otherwise replaceable. Usually.
★ Bandages: Apparently Trace has taken on the role of "makeshift medic," to an extent. While the entire gang falls into their roles when it is imperative for them to, the poochyena has been stuck with administering (or directing how to administer) the patchwork medical practices. Joy.
