♣ ♦ The Pokémon ♠ ♥Post 5 ♠ Name: Conrad Warwick (prefers being referred to as "Connie")♠ Pronunciation: KAWN-raad WAHR-rihk♠ Name Meaning: "Brave" + "Counsel," Germanic in origin♠ Gender: Male♠ Stage: Teen♠ Sexuality/Status: Straight / Single♠ Height: 6' 7"♠ Weight: On the heavier side, due to thicker structure♠ Pokémon: Tauros♠ Nature: Hardy (clever)♠ Myers-Briggs Type: ENFP (idealist type, champion role-variant)♠ Personality: Connie is a rather laid back and easygoing individual; he may have the upper hand in the ability to intimidate others, but he tends to go out of his way to prevent it from happening, if at all possible. He likes to think he has a good sense of humor, an ease at adapting to any situation (especially crises), and is remarkably amiable, but these goals seem to need some more fine-tuning. He tends to avoid violent confrontation like the plague, and can appear to be easy to take advantage of in these instances. Despite the assumptions, however, Connie is also quite stubborn, therefore it is actually quite difficult to pull something on him. Despite wanting to give everything the benefit of a chance, there are just some things that he has shunned into a dislike category, some without the opportunity to prove themselves otherwise. While he is pretty lenient on flavors of food, he won't touch anything that looks or smells burnt. Connie hates it when others are sad or embarrassed over anything, and will go out of his way to redirect such attention, especially since he doesn't tend to really feel embarrassment for himself.♠ Other Quirks: For a tauros, Connie is about as opposite as one can be when it comes to the stereotyping of his kin. While generally, tauros are quite violent and short-tempered, Connie may very well be impossible to anger past irritation; this stems from his history on a breeder's ranch. He also has a strange hatred for volleyball, and is not sure what may have caused this. He greatly enjoys other games, though, and may unintentionally put something off to play one, should someone request it.♠ Approx. Connie does not currently have a trainer. While he had one up until recently, he felt it best to distance himself. As a poké-human, titles and regards to others got a bit confusing, and the tauros-boy felt it best to lessen the disorder. He wasn't much for ranching anyway.

Conrad grew up on a breeder's ranch, a small family of modern-day cowboys running the operation. The ranch focused on breeding and maintaining hooved pokémon herds, with a specialization in producing a more manageable line of tauros by breeding out the hastily violent tempers that usually accompanied the species. Connie was one of their successes. In early adolescence, however, the young tauros happened upon one of Jirachi's stars and was transformed into a more humanoid shape. It was unexpected for both parties, neither of which had heard about these occurrences happening, and it put a strain on the relationship. How was one suppose to treat a kid who was treated as an animal just a day prior? It seemed harsh to continue treating a child that way, and the operations of the ranch came to an abrupt standstill. Connie, feeling a bit guilty for this, left the residence as soon as he was capable of it, so they didn't have to worry about him sticking around as a reminder. He didn't feel like they were doing anything wrong, so why should they feel that way about themselves?

Connie grew up around a rancher couple and their teenaged son. However, once he grew to be more than just your typical pokémon, he tried to remove himself from the picture, so he's not going to state any relations here. He even changed his name to further this endeavor, though he has never held any ill feelings about his first home.

 Arashi - A troubled kid that Conrad felt the need to help out. The eevee didn't seem too thrilled about the prospect, but Conrad thinks he's got a general idea of what it's like. Connie may not have gotten through to the eevee, but it looked as though he may have with the eevee's friends.
First Seen: Child (Arashi) / Teen (Conrad) || Last Seen: Child (Arashi) / Teen (Conrad)
 Trace - More open-minded and accepting than his partner-in-crime, Connie was able to see some of the more disheartening rifts that lie between walks of life with Trace and Arashi's help. While they seem to be on positive terms, it's not certain how shaky that foundation is.

 Lucas - Poor kid really seemed to have it much more rough than he was willing to let on, despite the classy outfit. A few personality flaws... he would have offered the help had the kid only asked!

 Eilam - A helpful and caring individual, while Connie didn't necessarily interact with the arceus all that much, enough of it was evident in the way his trainer relived her memories through the spoken word. Very responsible, Connie was a little concerned that he wasn't really living his own life so much as living for his trainer...

 Lucinda - Definitely one that can hold her own and stand up for what she deems worthy! Another that Connie didn't really speak with directly too much, she had him worried at first when speaking with the fireball Arashi. Silly silly, he shouldn't have been so concerned!

 Fluffernutter - A troubled youth for sure, but one that has trekked far on the path towards healing his wounds of abandonment. Fluff was a very shy and soft-spoken kid, but very strong and determined in his own right.

 Calanthia - It took a bit to come up, but Callie was apparently much, much older than the tauros himself, despite opposing appearances! She had a great sense of humor, and her devotion was clear. Despite the knowledge at her disposal, one could be hard-pressed to label such a playful character as Callie as an older adult unless they were given the facts straight!

 Karma - Quite a bit on the shy side, with a habit of hiding behind the nearest source of comfort, the young ditto was nevertheless able to stand up for the 'little guy' once it wasn't zhimself getting the brunt of the verbal impact. It helps that a kid can have such good friends!

 Brennen - An enthusiastic and curious little guy, Connie helped Brenny out when he was in desperate need of some food and warmth. He also inadvertently helped turn the lonely celebi into a poké-kid... ah, whoops! Brenny seems to have claimed the tauros as his own, so he is currently under Connie's guidance. Now if only those walls constructed out of a sense of abandonment were broken through, they could overcome those bouts of separation anxiety...

 Mei-Ling - Despite appearing much younger than the tauros, Mei has quickly become an invaluable member of the small apartment arrangements. She's had to carry on as babysitter for Brenny while Connie's been working two jobs, and as such he feels he... probably relies on her more than he should. Connie looks up to the young mienfoo, despite contrary height differences.

 Eliot - Well, Brenny wanted a goldfish... this was just a bit larger than Connie had been expecting. He lived at the park lake and was visited frequently, mostly on weekends, until he found a star and was brought to the apartment by Brenny. While Connie doesn't know much about the so-dubbed "Karpi," he seems to be fairly friendly and easy-going.

 Urban - Despite what appearances may have conveyed, Urban was an exceptionally helpful guy, offering to pitch in should Connie or his family need it. Of course, being a tauros, it's unlikely that he could set the stubbornness aside long enough to... but having the option there was a big stress relief.
First Seen: Teen (Both) || Last Seen: Teen (Both)
 Cameron - Friend of Urban's that offered similar assistance, Connie can't offer any more gratitude than he already feels for what seems nearly a random act of kindness. Mei has informed Connie that he has since lost his memory of many of the more current events over the course of the year before, and Connie wishes he could do something in return for the offer from before, even if he wouldn't remember it...

♉ Other Acquaintances Deanna Longabaugh - Eilam, Lucinda, & Fluffernutter's trainer - A health-depreciated woman with more than a few stories to tell, Connie found the conversation he had with Dea to be quite insightful as much as it was interesting. While her unsure health was a point of worry, she seemed to be handling her illness like a trooper.
First Seen: Teen || Last Seen: Teen
Serenity Willows - Calanthia's trainer - While mostly quiet, her priorities were clear. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and as such, didn't really have the need to outright speak her concerns. Connie wouldn't mind talking with her a bit more than he had been able to!

Grayson Willows - Karma's trainer - He seemed to want Dea to do most of the talking on behalf of him, which confused the tauros a bit. Grayson would still speak his mind where he felt it was necessary, or he had something to add, but his watch over his daughter took precedence. The whole family unit together like that was quite endearing.

Connie currently lives in a small, one-room apartment that he managed to attain with low rent. It would have been considered a tight fit for anyone to live in, but since the tauros doesn't have much in the way of belongings, it works just fine. The entryway opens between the kitchen and living areas, of which occupy the same space as a single room. There is a room for sleeping, and a bathroom to the back, and that makes up the entirety of the tiny apartment. Connie would be quick to point out that it also makes for easy upkeep, but then he is usually out of the apartment in favor of the town anyway.

Other than food and clothing, Connie doesn't have much here at the moment. ♠ Deck of Playing Cards: Connie keeps a pack of these on his person, usually so he's always got something to do. While they are not really a charm of good luck, the fact that he feels more comfortable when they are with him may give others an adverse opinion on the matter. When waiting, Connie will usually pull these out and fiddle with them, practicing with his skill in the art despite not really needing to, much like a nervous habit.
