The missing statue from the pedestal had thrown Andie off at first and he read the plague for any clue. After reading it he was almost startled when a voice spoke up about what the plague just said. He turned to see what he assumed was the missing statue/goddess and listened to her carefully.
He took the offered bag and opened it, giving her a confused look when he found it empty but the confusion cleared when she went on to explain how to fix it. If she needed parts he could definitely do that for her. He took the scissors with a 'thank you' and a smile before leaving to get the parts she needed.
It didn't take him long to come across the three doors and he paused to study them. Which should he take? The third one was out as it made him nervous to even think about going through thanks to the feelings it gave off. The first didn't catch his attention at all so he figured that was out as well.
That left the middle door. The one that pulled at his curiosity and the weird vibes coming from it. Andie took one last look around the room and went through the middle door.

Andie walked through the door and instantly voices started up. His eyes widened and he looked around for anyone there but there was no one besides him. Then images flashed before his eyes, not making sense other then they were people and they were calling him. The name they call was not his name though, it didn't seem familiar in the least. Finally they faded and he could see normally again.
He took a few more steps past the door then jumped slightly when the door closed and locked behind him. He pulled on the door just to try it but it was clearly not coming open and he had no way to unlock it so he continued on through the dark. After all he had a task to complete for the goddess.
He kept his feet low as he stepped, almost shuffling from being so close to the ground, to give warning it there were obstacles in his way. On and on he went in the dark until finally his foot hit something that made a loud thunk sound. He reached down to place his hands on it then ran them over to feel the dimensions. It was large, it was wooden and it was in his way. He could feel it was open on the top and there was something sticking out though and he wished he could see what it was.
Andie grabbed on to the object, something he felt he needed to do, and felt the fabric. Was it clothes in there? Some kind of doll? Something else? He reached farther in and finally registered the thumping sound that was coming from inside. The next that registered was the faint yellow glow. A heart, just like she said he would find.
Andie took the scissors the goddess gave him and started to cut away at the fabric and thread to get to the asked for heart. Whispers in his mind started up again as he worked diligently to collect the heart. Whispering the name 'Derek' which brings to mind a tall male with an easy smile. Ignoring it for the time being he finished cutting all of the layers and strings. He reached in and grasped the heart, lifting it up and going to place it in the bag given by the goddess. Then a vision, memory?, played in his mind.
He walked into the room with the middle aged man by his side, only coming up to the mans lower chest, showing him around the building. "And here is Derek, the oldest in the orphanage here. He helps keep an eye on the younger ones such as yourself." The older man said, looking down at him with a smile. "Derek say hello to our newest addition."
The tall teen looked up from where he was helping a little girl draw and gave a smile as he stood. "Hello. As Mr. Jason said, I'm Derek and I hope we can be friends." Derek said with a comforting voice and an out stretched hand. I could feel myself smile in return and shook the offered hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm A..."

Andie shook the vision off and finished putting the heart in the bag before moving around the crate and continued to walk. He didn't know where he was going in the dark but there had to be a way out of here somewhere. Slowly the ground changed beneath his booted feet, wetter and softer, before he came across a wall. When he finally stopped walking he heard the sound of splashing footsteps behind him.
He quickly turned, expecting to see someone, or at least the glowing of a heart of someone but he was still the only person there. After a moment he started walking again, hoping he wasn't getting turned around. It seemed his hope was true as the water started to climb up his boots and the temperature started to drop. He was starting to wonder if there was a lake in here or something when he heard the splashing again, this time it was accompanied with a voice and a plea. He stopped and turned but once again saw no one.
He turned and started to go a bit faster only to realize the water was climbing farther and farther up his body. When it reached his neck he was deciding whether to move back but before he could make up his mind the voice called again. Give what back? He didn't have time to think on that as next he knew he was being pulled under the water by two strong hands. He thrashed and fought with everything he had but it didn't seem to be enough. Finally he slowed down, in a daze from lack of breath, and could only register the eyes and somehow the demand.
He ran into the room with a gleeful laugh, dodging the other's arms as they grabbed at him. "I'll get you yet!" Derek roared playfully behind him, causing him to squeal in laughter and try to go faster. He was almost to the door to the next room where he could hide under the bed when he was grabbed and hefted into the air. "Got you!" Derek said triumphantly and swung him around before tucking him under his arm and tickling his vulnerable sides. "No no stop!" he cried, laughing and squirming to get free to no avail.
"Say uncle!" Derek said as he tickled harder, moving to his soft belly. "Uncle! Uncle!" He cried, thrashing harder and laughing louder. Finally the teen stopped an let him down on the ground to reign in his giggles. "And that's why you pick up the toys you play with!" Derek chuckled as he caught his breath. "Other wise you get tickled."

It hurt to know that Andie needed the heart, needed it for the blessings. It hurt because he knew he could not return Derek's heart. Couldn't return the heart the belong to the man that he had been close to once upon a time. But he would fight to keep it. He made a vow to his self to return for Derek once he had the power to do so but knew the vow could only be followed if he escaped now.
He mentally apologized to Derek before plunging the scissors into him. The shriek Derek lets loose was horrible but it was clear Andie's desperate attack worked as he was let go and Derek disappeared. And he seemed to take the water with him as Andie was suddenly able to breathe again as he lay on the floor gathering the strength to get up again.
He grinned when it started to get lighter in the room and then sat up. Climbing to his feet, he headed towards the door quickly, only pausing when he thought he saw Derek again. A pang of regret hit him but he pushed it away and left. He made a vow, two of them, one to Derek and one to the goddess. He had nothing to regret.

[Task 2]
The world was so bright. Too bright. At least that is what Andie thought when he woke up in the bright, white room. The humming was annoying as well. He sat up and looked around the empty room, confused how he go here but shrugged it off and swung his legs around to the side. He pushed his self off the table and walked over to the door. Finding it unlocked, he opened it and stepped into the bright, empty hall. The sound of a slammed door made him jump a bit and look behind him but found the door he just came through was still open.
Andie frowned as he looked for anything but everywhere he looked there was just empty space and walls. At least until he saw the door down the hall. He started walking over to it then stopped when he heard another thud of a door. Turning around, he check the doorway that, to his confusion, was still open. He huffed and turned back around only for another thud sound.
Andie once again turned around only this time, there was something there. Somethings watching him. They got closer, the sound of their footsteps getting louder and louder. One of them stood out to Andie, the black figure carrying a rusted pair of scissors.
He started to back up a few steps then turned and ran to the door he had previously been trying to get to. To his dismay he found it locked and demanding a passcode.

Andie looked around for any clue on what the passcode was, heart beating so fast he thought it would jump out of his chest. In his panicked searching he found a note written in red that read 'A=0, B=1, C=2'. It made no sense to him but he kept it in mind in case he needed it.

Andie was panicking and he knew it did him no good. In fact it would only harm his chances to get out if he kept it up. But he couldn't help it and ended up tripping and pushing on the door just to see if it would open. "Poor little baby, are you lost?" One of the black creatures, the one with the scissors, taunted in an eerily familiar voice. "Just like that one time, you remember that?" Andie felt a shiver go down his spine.

Andie's eyes darted around for any other clue that might help him open the door and spotted another note. He picked it u and quickly read it, 'A C E G'. He looked at it then the door and grinned, remembering the first note. He quickly entered the code then darted through it.

Andie spared a few seconds to look around and see he was outside. He moved to put some distance between him and the door but peeked from behind a tree to see he was still being followed. He turned and started to run again to get away, hearing a voice that called out to him. "Can't find your way out of this! Couldn't find your way out before with out help!" And then the voice left that line of taunting and moved on to things more frightening. "I will have my heart back even if I have to take yours! In fact I would still take yours!" His breath came in panicked bursts as he ran and ran until he came to a bridge. It didn't look safe in the least but it didn't seem that there was any other option.

Andie took a deep breath to try and calm down then started to cross the bridge as fast as he could while still being slightly cautious in where he put his feet. He could hear more taunts behind him an he realized his hands were shaking now but he kept going the same speed. It might have been what saved him as he was soon off the bridge and there was the sound of cracks behind him. He looked back for a moment and saw that the boards had fallen. He felt a rush of relief that he was off of the bridge before he turned and continued running away, yells and taunts behind him in that familiar voice.

His running took him to an old and damaged haunted house. Andie panted to catch his breath and looked around at the creepy structure. He then looked behind him and saw the black figure was still following him. He turned to face the figure, the dagger from the goddess glowing in his hand and her words to him whispering in his mind.
He would stand, he would fight. Win or loose there would be no more running. When the figure was close enough Andie plunged the dagger at it's chest, a memory playing across his minds eye.
He stood in front of the doors with his arms crossed and a frown on his face. It was raining and he felt it was appropriate for his mood even if it meant he was standing in it and getting wet. He heard the door open behind him but he refused to turn to look at the young man he knew would be there. There was a sigh then arms came around him in a hug. "You knew we would be separated Aiden, one way or another." He heard Derek say. He still refused to look at the young man, refused to acknowledge the tears running down his face that mingled in the rain.
A hand was placed on his soaked head and his hair was ruffled a bit, even as wet as it was. "Aid, this is not goodbye forever. I left you the number to call me and I'll be making a trip back in the summer to see this place. Though hopefully by then you will be adopted." Derek said and pulled away before stepping down so he was in front of him. "Stay strong, do as you are told and keep smiling kiddo." He said with a sad smile then turned to leave, clearly knowing the boy would not say anything else.
He watched the man leave, sobs trying to spill from his throat as he watched the man that was like a big brother to him walk away. He didn't want to be alone again.
Unfortunately the figure was quicker then Andie. The scissors was quicker then the dagger.

Andie couldn't move. There was a hand on his head and the figure he had been running from standing over him with empty eyes. He had failed. Failed the goddess and failed his self. Why? Why couldn't he have been faster? Stronger? More sure of his self? He wanted to cry at the unfairness of this but what ever was left of his pride held back the tears.
The voice, the oh so familiar voice cooed at him in some sort of mix of glee and soothing before there was the sound of the scissors and a brief burst of pain. Then it faded and the figure started to walk away. Andie watched, felt an echo of the memory's emotions and horror at watching the figure walk away with his heart.
He wanted so bad to call out, demand his heart back. Plead for it if that would help. But he couldn't. Couldn't move his lips nor gather the air needed to speak. Instead he silently watched before the world faded to black.

[Task 3] Andie looked around at the fog, trying to find out where the music was coming from but got distracted by the table in front of him. He looked around once more then stepped closer to the table. He raised a hand and it stopped in between the two jars in an indecisive moment before he picked up the pink jar. Reading the tag, he drank from the jar as instructed then grinned as light feelings came over him. Soon he noticed the snacks on the table and it didn't even occur to him that they weren't there a moment ago. Looking between the cake and the cookies, he was tempted by the cookies, very tempted but he decided to go for the cake instead. He started to feel like he was floating, he felt so good. He then looked around to find something to wash down the cake. It didn't take long to spot the different tea cups and with a smile, picked up the colorful cup. The world started to change after that and he felt like he was expecting the new voice whispering in his ears. He sat on the counter with his legs swinging forwards then down then back again. His dark red/brown eyes were watching with rapt attention to the kind old lady as she set things down on the counter beside him. "That should do it." She said, her voice calm and soothing in tone. She stepped back a moment to survey the items then nodded. "We have everything here to make cookies with now." She said with a smile. She had her hair up in a tight bun to keep it from falling into the cooking materials and a pretty white house dress with light blue flowers along the hems. At the bottom of the dress her white bunny slippers peeked out making him grin every so often as it seemed like they were playing hide and seek.
"Oh, it seems like I missed something." She said with a knowing grin after making sure all of the mixing bowls and utensils were there. "Be a dear and grab the cookie sheets, Aid." He could feel the grin on his face grow larger as he carefully hopped off the counter using a step stool and got into one of the lower cabinets. "Both of them Nana?" He asked, already grabbing both of them in anticipation. "That's right, both of them." She laughed. Soon she was helping him back onto the counter top, the cookie sheets now off to the side.
"All right, let us start shall we?" They shared happy smiles then got to work, following the recipe she knew by heart and was more then happy to help him learn. By the time the cookie dough was ready to be balled up and put on the sheets, Aiden's shoulder length black hair was tied into a little rat tail at the base of his neck and he had flour smeared over his baby round cheeks. Both of them were laughing about the flour hand prints on the blue apron she had put on just before they started for real and she handed him a round ice cream scooper. "Now use this to make little dough balls to put on the sheets." She instructed after showing him how.
Aiden nodded and scooped up some dough, trying to make it perfect. When his childish mind deemed it the best it could be he laid it on the sheet. This continued until almost all of the dough was put on the sheets except for enough for one and a half cookies. He paused when he saw there wasn't enough for two cookies then took the remaining dough and rolled it up into a bigger ball then the rest. "Got your self a big cookie for later then?" She asked with a grandmotherly look when she saw him. He shook his head and gave her a bright smile. "It's for you Nana for being the best Nana I could have ever asked for."When the memory fades, Andie is left with a small smile. He reads over the instructions left behind in the Tea Diary and the smile becomes a grin. Sounds like fun.

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Gold Description: A sweet and gentle domestic scene with memories of family intertwined. Your commentary on its flavour: Such a wonderful memory - I wish mine had been so wonderful... so sweet, so nice, so warm and happy. It felt like belonging and being loved. Is this what the Goddess wanted me to learn? This person must be truly blessed by the Goddess to have known so much love... but did they forget it too? That's so sad...

Tea Guest Log Colour of Tea Tasted: Burnt Gold Description: Warm honey and mild chocolate. I tasted coconut and toasted almonds. Your commentary on its flavour: Igny found her smile grow wider and wider as the boy and the woman made their food. Each moment touched her heart, in a special way. She wished she could remember the boy in her memory, the one called Jing. She found herself yearning for her own sort of Nana. Igny was tired of being alone. She wanted a friend, someone to love as immensely as this. As deeply and unquestioningly. The more she thought about it, the sadder the tea made her feel.
