A simple room, with wood counters along the walls for tools, and a circle of pottery wheels with stools in the center.

We all choose our own fate. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Professor Stella Chrysanti [enter from General Magic] When she entered her classroom, Stella checked the equipment to make sure everything was in proper order, and then proceeded to prepare some clay. Taking the clay with her, she sat at the stool on the opposite end of the circle from the door, and placed it on the wheel. With her foot lightly pressing on the pedal, she began to form it, wetting the clay every so often as she went. The concentration that went into making anything on a wheel soothed her, focusing her mind and her soul simultaneously. As she waited for her students to arrive, Stella's hands formed the clay into the beginnings of what could later be a tall vase. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Do not waste your future by fearing your past.

✝▀▀▄▄▄▄ (Enter from Demonolgy) Lylah was running her fingers through her hair when she walked into her second period class. She pulled her hair up in a bun and pinned it there with a hair tie, expecting to make something today or to at least start something. Lylah always loved using her hands to do things. Lylah took a seat across from where the Professor was sitting and waited to see if anybody else came in or if it was just her and the Professor in this class. It was quiet, despite the murmurs of people talking out in the hallway.

Mizuchi Haru _______________________________________________________________________
[Enter From: General Magic] Mizuchi huffed with dissatisfaction as she reached her second period class. "Pottery." The word rolled off her tongue with a sharp point, stabbing the ears of anyone who heard and enjoyed such a class. She walked into the classroom and stopped. Her arms were folded across her chest. Her sapphire eyes scanned the room quickly before she sighed and took a seat by herself. After a short moment of pouting she noticed Professor Chrysanti was teaching this class as well. Mizuchi watched intently as the woman concentrated on her masterpiece. The other girl in the room went completely unnoticed by the water-dragon. _______________________________________________________________________

We all choose our own fate. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Professor Stella Chrysanti Stella glanced up and smiled softly at each girl as they walked into the classroom. After a few moments of them all being present and seated, Stella began to speak, still working on the vase. "Welcome to Pottery. I am Professor Stella Chrysanti, and I hope that during this semester, you will be able to learn and appreciate the power that can be found in pottery. For me, working with the clay cleanses and focuses my mind and my soul, but the effects are different for everyone. If you do not want to enjoy this class, you will not. But if you do try, and you do strive to find the harmony in the clay, I promise you that your journey in this course will not be fruitless." At this point, she pressed harder on the pedal, spinning it faster so that she could form the vase and make it tall. She paused in her words for a moment, focusing. Looking up for a moment at each of the students, she then returned her gaze to her work, and continued instruction. "Today, I want each of you to familiarize yourself with the clay. Mold it in your hands without tools, and see what you discover." With that, Stella quieted. For the rest of the class, she would concentrate on the vase, molding it into the desired form unless the students asked questions. She finished the basics of a vase as the bell rang, signaling the end of class and the beginning of the break. As the bell finished ringing, she stopped spinning the wheel. Eyes closed, she slowly pushed her hands into the wet clay and it collapsed in on itself. As she began to clean up the remains, she looked up and smiled at the students. "Thank you for your participation today. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Please seek me out if you have any questions or concerns, I am always available for you." She went about tidying up and putting everything away, waiting for the classroom to empty. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Do not waste your future by fearing your past.

✝▀▀▄▄▄▄ Lylah noticed another girl who walked in, but was surprised when she was the only one who showed up besides her for this class. She didn't seem to care too much for Pottery, though, by the look on her face. The girl didn't seem to notice her, but that was completely fine with her. Lylah listened to her Professor as she spoke while creating a piece of pottery. Lylah was disappointed that they weren't going to get to make something today. She got up and went to start playing with the clay. Lylah turned her head towards the Professor before asking, "When are we going to start making pottery?" Her voice seemed loud in the quiet room, even though she was talking rather softly. Lylah balled up a piece of clay in her hand before letting it roll back and forth between her hands. When the bell rang, signaling that it was time for the break, she set down the ball of clay and went to wash her hands.

Mizuchi Haru _______________________________________________________________________
Mizuchi sat pouting as her gaze burned holes in the clay. He metaphorical deed was interrupted when a serene voice played by her ears. Looking up, she noticed Professor Chrysanti once again introducing herself and the purpose of the class. This time without mentioning her deceased son. Mizuchi watched the Professor the whole time as she spoke. The woman was impressive with her ability to sculpt and talk at the same moment. She paused a short moment as she extended the clay higher, then continued with instructions for the two girls. Mizuchi let her eyes fall back on the clay. She simply sat there and stared blankly. How did I wind up in this useless class? A more noticeable frown formed on her face before an unfamiliar voice cut through the silence of the room. Partially startled, Mizuchi's head lifted to find another girl was present in the room. Her long hair was a huge contrast against her attire. Mizuchi caught a weak smell of human, but it wasn't enough to tickle her taste buds. The girl was a hybrid of some sort. Mizuchi titled her head in temporary wonder before a bell rang, signally the break time. Mizuchi quickly stood up and exited the room, looking for a place to be alone until third period started. We all choose our own fate. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Professor Stella Chrysanti When she heard one of the students ask a question, Stella responded, "Tomorrow we will learn some of the techniques, and after that we can start to make something that you can fire up and keep." The plan was to have them create a pinch pot first, one of the simplest things to create, but still something they could experiment with and hopefully enjoy. As she continued cleaning and organizing the classroom in preparation for the next day, Stella noticed that the girl who had asked the question was still there, washing her hands. "Your dress is beautiful." she commented, admiring the flow of it. "What is your name?"- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Do not waste your future by fearing your past.
((OOC: Yeah its totally fine! You're not limited in any way to where you go. You can even go to the city, although "school rules" say you need to stay on campus during break, so don't get caught wink ))

✝▀▀▄▄▄▄ Lylah nodded to the professor's answer to her question. She turned off the water and dried her hands. "Thank you. My name's Lylah." She watched as the other girl in the room got up and left. Lylah thought about where to go for break. Maybe the student lounge? Maybe the courtyard? 'Actually, the courtyard sounds like a good enough place to go.' Lylah hesitated before speaking again. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Professor Chrysanti. I'll see you tomorrow." She gave a try at a smile before she headed out the door.
