Tuala was not pleased at all with the onset of those sirens and announcements and flashing lights. Zera was already not pleased with it and obviously hunkering down some, but the moth boy had already been planning to head to the store to get them their groceries for the next few days - not being a master of storage or food prep yet.

Awkwardly, he'd taken his roommate's arm and had Zera come with him, staying close, so neither would be left alone with this weird danger going around.

"Just stay close and don't go wandering to look at things the whispers say, ok Zera?"
PostPosted: Thu Jul 11, 2013 6:56 pm

Loud, obstructive noises made the whispers hard to hear, hard to make sense of. They'd tried to alert him to the flashing lights but he had become a good deal unnerved and didn't want any of it. He clung to Tuala as if to demand he not be left alone, grateful his roommate was going to take him with him.

"They're telling me the opposite." He found it hard to speak above whispers again. "I can barely hear them but they're telling me everything is wrong. They barely make sense. They're talking too fast..."

He was rattling off quickly, quietly, mouthing words in that odd language as he tried to make sense of them. "Feiguer aset mavhifeldna. I don't know what that means."

Just groceries, just groceries. He could handle it as long as he held tight to Tuala's arm.

Perhaps it was the fact that Jelly wasn't really the sharpest that made his first thought about what was going on that 'hey, those blue lights are kinda pretty' followed by him mulling over the announcement. Possibly toxic? It was a somewhat broad statement that had him thinking about what it might mean, was it made of poison? Was it a poisonous animal? Was it a mushroom? He could think of handful of things that were toxic but his mind finally settled on those brightly colored frogs that he'd seen on the television. The announcement continued, telling them that travel to and from the area was closed off but it meant nothing to Jelly, he really didn't get out much after all. Instead he tended to spend a lot of his time making food in his apartment so that he could sit in front of his window, eat it, and watch the people go by. They said not to panic and he saw zero reason to do so, not until mention of how some eggs may or may not be missing.

"Huh... that's kinda sad." He murmured to himself, if they were missing what happened if they hatched? That would be kinda lonely and scary for the hatchling he thought to himself before deciding that he might as well follow the suggestion of the announcement. If he went out for a walk, or at least Jelly's equivalent of a walk, maybe he'd see one of the missing eggs? He gave a bit of a smile, moving toward the door to his apartment. It would be a bit like an Easter Egg hunt, he'd heard about those and they sounded like they could be fun. His mind seemed to focus on that aspect of what was going on instead of really considering the fact that the one playing the Easter bunny in this situation was possibly toxic and unstable. The suggestion of staying in groups was lost on him as well, he was alone more often then not with only the television to keep him company after all, so he had no group. It would be fine though, what were the odds of him finding anything after all? Not as though he were the quickest guy out there at the moment.

While he was getting better at moving more quickly, a useful skills to keep from burning things while he was cooking, his pace was one that still seemed meandering at best. Of course just as he got close to leaving his apartment he found himself looking up at the thick gray cloud, giving them a look. Rain? A quiver went through the slime's body as he found himself considering if it was safe to go out or not. He wasn't too big a fan of the rain after all, when he got too went it made him move that much more slowly because his body felt more liquid then he cared for. Creeping forward he stretched an arm outside, fingers wiggling, as he tried to figure out if it was safe to go out or not. The rain worried him far more then a toxic egg thief ever could.

Tuala spotted the odd boy attempting to peak out of the door of one of the lower apartments in the building next to theirs on their way out. He was...orange. And made of squishy stuff.

"Um. Are you ok? It's not raining out you know." Tuala commented, looking at the strange boy and staying put so Zera could hold onto him. "What're you doing anyway? Don't tell me you're going out alone..." Ok so he was a bit concerned for his lonely neighbors.

Zera's whispers had him confused as Jelly came into 'view', his face twisting a bit as they continued to describe him and still blared warnings about the state of things. He clung extra tight to Tuala's arm, letting out a faint whine.

Whoever it was, another manifest maybe, they were confusing him extremely, the whispers were making him look like a mass of slime and that made so little sense. But if they were alone, and right now no one was supposed to go out alone, they needed company, right?

Jelly gave pause when he heard the voice behind him, his form giving another quiver, before he turned to look over his shoulder at the two that were there. For a moment he found himself sizing them up, thoughts churning, before he gave a bit of a smile as he said, "I don't much care for the rain, it makes me feel kinda odd, so I was making sure the clouds were thinking of dropping any of it on me." He explained before he pulled his hand back inside. That much have looked odd he thought to himself, before he seemed to recall that all of him must look odd. The others he'd seen to this point they all seemed to share a lot of the same basic features such as the number of limbs they had, skeletal structures, hair, things like that. Jelly was far from being like anyone he'd seen before from his window, far different from these two, though he couldn't help but to be in awe of them. They both had wings!

He slid a little closer to the pair, studying them, trying to figure out what they might be. He finally decided on 'butterfly boy' and 'angel... undecided', no matter how long he starred at the angel he was a little lost on what that one was, "Going out alone... hrm, yes. The announcement suggested a group but I am the only Jelly around." Nobody to group with when he all there was where slimes were concerned, to his knowledge at least. His form shifted slightly as he turned to look toward the door that he had been debating out, "I was thinking of going on an 'egg hunt' like what people do for Easter since it sounded like there might be eggs to find." It made sense in his mind even if it weren't the smartest of things to do.

Tuala blinked a bunch and sighed. "They meant group of people I think. Like other manifests or people you know or techs. Come on, if you're gonna go out, you best come with us. Go close your front door and you can come shopping with us and see if you see any eggs. Just don't go getting yourself hurt, ok? The thing that took them could be dangerous."

He pet Zera a little on his other arm, trying to calm him from the whispers. "This is Zerachiel and I'm Tuala." he explained, pointing to Zera with his other hand while he continued to pet the boy.

Whispers calmed a little as Jelly spoke, as if to be sure he understood what was being said. It helped to piece together what Jelly was... but the thought of an "egg hunt" seemed terrible and he shuddered, pressing against Tuala.

"P... please don't, it sounds like..."

The whispers shrieked to life as if to finish his sentence. Bad. Terrible. Dangerous. Peril. Absolutely not!

He whimpered, eyes shutting tightly, trying to calm himself enough to tell why he was so frightened.

"They could be still out there. I don't think we should try to find them on purpose. Not just us."

Jelly starred as the butterfly explained to him what the announcement meant by a group and he found himself nodding, "Ohhhh." Well that did make more sense he thought to himself, it would have been a shame if he was supposed to say with a group that didn't exist. When the butterfly told him that if he was going to go out that he should go with them he gave a happy sort of smile, "That would be nice." Better then going at it alone, even if he was used to it that didn't mean that it was something that he enjoyed the prospect of. Spending time with others was something he liked the sound of, as such he would go with these two for the time being.

Oozing over to his door, closing it behind himself as was suggested to him by the one with the rather massive set of wings, Jelly set about trying to put the guy's worries about Jelly getting hurt at least, "I should be alright so long as it doesn't rain, no worries." He'd yet to really find anything that hurt him, even having pieces of himself break off then seemed to bother him, he just had to reabsorb them into the main part of his being again was all, "Your concern is appreciated though." He couldn't recall someone being worried about him before, it was kind of... nice. As such he decided straight away that the butterfly boy was someone that he liked if only because he seemed nice, which was what was important!

"Zerachiel and Tuala." He murmured, repeating the names to himself to help to memorize them before he said, "My name is Jelly." He told the pair before his attention seemed to focus on Zerachiel, hearing him murmuring something but he wasn't close enough to hear what it was. Whatever it was he was talking about it didn't seem like a good thing. If anything the angel seemed... upset? Had Jelly said something wrong? Maybe the winged creature didn't want Jelly about? Did he want Tuala all to himself? Did he not want his friend cheating? Questions that all made Jelly come to the conclusion that he needed to watch far fewer soap operas in the afternoons, "Is your friend alright? Is something wrong?" He asked finally, figuring that he could either assume all day what might be wrong or just ask what was wrong now.

"He's worried, Jelly. Zera senses things and he thinks looking for the eggs or that Manifest is really dangerous." the boy explained, petting Zera and holding him to his side. "He doesn't want anyone getting hurt, that's all."

"We're going to go to the grocery story and you can stay close to us, ok Jelly? Don't go running off. And if we all see something we can do something about it but don't just run into trouble, ok?" Tuala explained as they set off.

Zera could only nod with Tuala, though he dared forward a bit toward Jelly, just to shake his head and offer a little bit of a greeting or something.

"I-I'm sorry, Jelly. I don't mean to be rude to you. It's all just... just making me very nervous." He kept his eyes closed, hiding the corona rings from Jelly as if it kept the whispers quiet. "Please stay with us, w-we can find something fun to do, maybe? After we get groceries?"

He had such a specific dread for the whole ordeal. The whispers were saying things about the world again, not so loud or harsh as they were, especially as Tuala was speaking, but he was catching a fainter "like you", when danger was mentioned... whatever that meant... "like you". Either way, he was fearing for Jelly as much as Tuala and himself with all this nastiness around.

Jelly gave another thoughtful quiver before he nodded his head, lips turning up into a bit of a smile, "Ohhhh, I see." He murmured, glad to hear that it wasn't jealousy or something super dramatic like that. Nope, this was just normal worry that one angel had for a slime... which didn't sound terribly normal when he put it like that but no matter, "That is very nice of him." He didn't really want to get hurt personally, nor did he want to see anyone else hurt. A shame that he wouldn't be able to search for the eggs but he supposed that he could just wait until a real Easter celebration came along then he could search out all the eggs that he wanted. For now he would leave the dangerous ones alone. It was probably best that they left those eggs to the professionals, right? If by some chance they ran across one of the eggs that Zerachiel seemed to think were dangerous they would just contact someone to come get it.

Lifting his hands up to his mouth the slime couldn't' help but to laugh, "Don't worry, Tuala, I don't really run anyway. I don't really have the right limbs for such a thing." He explained, normally going from place to place at a rather sedate pace. Maybe if he had legs or something he might run around but as it was he really wasn't built for such a thing.

When he was invited to go along with them grocery shopping he shifted in place, his bright orange form jiggling, "Mmm... well... I don't have any money with me but I don't really need to buy anything at the moment." He mused, he had plenty of the various things that he normally made as well as the ingredients to make them. He should be alright with just browsing for today even though it was hard to just go window shopping when everything at the store always looked so tasty. He'd have to do his best not to be drawn in by anything today though since he didn't bring any money with him, not really thinking he'd need something like that on an egg hunt, "I think I'd like to go anyway though." The added bonus of doing 'something fun' after the shopping was more then enough to sway the jiggling slime and get him to want to go along. It wasn't often that his fun coincided with the fun of others so it would be a fun new thing to try.

As the group made it to the nearby Imaginarium entrance, they were able to see what stores were and weren't open. The grocery store, at the very least, was always open. Because these kids needed food too dammit! Even if there was a hapless oddball running around.

There were a lot more security guards and tech types actually walking between shops at present, which could either be scary or a relief. The guards gave the three entering the store polite smiles and shooed them along - those three were documented, they were all right.

Tuala sighed a bit and shook his head as they entered, stretching his wings back and closing them a bit so that he could get through the door with his companions. "Bluh...stupid wings."

He poked Zera gently as they got into the store. "Zera, do you have anything you really want us to get so I can make? Any treats?"
PostPosted: Sun Jul 14, 2013 12:52 am

Zera frowned a little at the sounds of struggle with the wings, but he shrugged some as he was prodded at. He'd gone and let his eyes open again, let the whispers pick back up to guide him. He had no idea. He wasn't hungry, there wasn't much to inspire him about it.

"... I dunno. Something simple would be good. Crackers?"

Food was such a weird subject. So far he'd only taken a liking to sharp, tart things like pomegranate, and even that little fruit fed him amply.

He looked back to turn his ears toward Jelly, to be sure he followed, make sure he was close. The whispers were cooing softly at the guards, those would help protect them. People on watch over them. Still, he pulled his hood over his head, as if he was still a bit afraid.

Jelly glanced over at the guards that were at the entrance to the store, lifting one semi-transparent hand to wave at them before continue to move along after Tuala and Zerachiel. He gave pause when Tuala had to shift his wings to make it so that he could more easily get through the door, something that caused his to smile a little. While it wasn't funny that he was having a hard time with the door it did make him better appreciate his more fluid body since he could squeeze through just about anywhere. Doors like this one thought were, luckily, not problem. He just had to gather him lower body into a more narrow shape. Once that was done he was sliding inside to the grocery store which, as always, had the most wonderful collection of food ever and nearly had the slime drooling a bit.

One 'step' instead and already Jelly was looking around, spotting things that he'd love to grab, but reminded himself that he could always come back for them later. They were here to get food for the other two, not for Jelly himself. Still it was a shame that he forgot his wallet but he was certain that he would survive. Not as though he hadn't eaten well before leaving the house for his failed egg hunt. Giving pause he couldn't but to look around for a moment, as if somehow an egg could magically get itself passed the guards, before his attention was back on his two companions. Seemed as though they didn't have lists, huh? And Zerachiel just wanted crackers? Seemed a long way to go for crackers but Jelly supposed that they could very well be the angel's favorite food, he had no idea.

"Do you guys need a basket?" He asked of the pair, glancing over to where the shopping baskets sat. Were they getting enough things to be in need of one of them was the question. At the moment, if they were only after crackers, he supposed the answer would be no.
