Also, please note: there is no way, in-character, for an inhabitant of Lilium Hallow to know whether or not another inhabitant is a Majin; except maybe a Spiritus, but discuss it with me first. Unless Étaín declares that fact to your character, they Do. Not. Know. Please respect this or I reserve the right to walk away from an RP with absolutely no explanation. If this comes up in a metaplot, I will bring it to the attention of the meta staff for intervention.
Consider it my major pet peeve; I try to be relatively agreeable otherwise.

Aside from her ability to 'slow' other living creatures down by weaving ice magic into her ocarina's song, Étaín can flash freeze water in the air or terrain around her, causing them to explode in devastating AoEs.
❈ personality
After interaction with this Majin, one may describe her as cold, detached, or remote. Étaín would say that she is disciplined and pragmatic---and would be quietly thrilled to hear that she is found to be intimidating. She dislikes the company of others, but is entranced by the various make-up of society. She studies them in the way she'd study one of her father's alchemy books; something utterly fascinating but out of the realm of her understanding. She has developed a coldly polite, but oddly pleasant façade for when she needs to deal with peers and other social interaction. As she is happiest wielding her strengths, she gracefully accepts that she does not know everything; but being eternally optimistic in regard to her self, she is certain she can learn it all. However, she will not suffer fools and is not afraid to inform someone if she thinks of them in that manner. Étaín is clever, but she will not match wits with anyone unless she is certain she can win. If she is not winning, the one who is may find they are experiencing a slow freeze in the air around them.
❈ strengths
dedicated :: Étaín takes her commitments very seriously. She was taught to always keep her word and is exceedingly careful to only give her word when she is certain she can do so.
ambitious :: Étaín seeks to better herself, to learn, to gain even more power and control so she can prove herself to the Blackhearts and rise in rank.
confident :: Above all else, Étaín knows she can rely on herself. It gives her strength and decisiveness and she respects similar confidence in others.
❈ weaknesses
fickle :: While Étaín does always keep her word, you have to get a promise out of her first. If no promise has been made, you can't necessarily trust her.
poor player :: Or poor loser, if that is clearer... Étaín plays to win and usually only plays if she knows she can win.
distrustful :: Trust is not something that comes easily to Étaín. There are various reasons for this, none of which she will share with you. The warmest regard you can generally win from her is her respect.
❈ likes
music :: Probably Étaín's favorite thing in existence. She is quite musical herself, but would never allow anyone to witness that. She sings once in a while when she knows she is alone and always carries a small, silver ocarina in her pocket.
colors :: Bright, bold jewel tones fascinate Étaín. She has a very secret, very passionate love affair with brilliantly colored clothes and baubles. Her off-duty and non-uniform clothes are a veritable rainbow.
knowledge :: Knowledge tends to translate eventually to power. Étaín likes power and knowing how to use it makes having it even sweeter.
❈ dislikes
crowds :: A combination of cacophonous noise and the tight press of society is a recipe for a very UNhappy Étaín. Chaos is the antithesis of the discipline and order Étaín prefers, crowds tend to be an embodiment of chaos.
skepticism :: Questioning the actions of this Majin is not the smartest thing one can do. Étaín does not deal well with feeling in the wrong and gets defensive.
extreme cold :: Étaín likes to be nice and warm. Unfortunately, she's always warmest right after she has fed. The rest of the time, she is cold to the touch.
❈ talents
singing, playing ocarina, designing clothing
❈ quirks
She had a pet rock as a child; a clear, shiny stone she found in a stream out exploring with her father. It is still kept on her person at all times.
She absolutely despises it if anyone enters her home without wiping their feet.
She is terrified of rabbits. Something about blank stares and twitching noses... though, they make excellent trim for her personal clothes.
She does not drink. She cannot handle alcohol well and sees no reason to make a fool of oneself. She prefers to feed off others as they imbibe.

a heart frozen in ice ❈ history
Born to a Spiritus mother [Melusine] and a human father [Daniel Gilford], Étaín is used to high expectations. After hunters killed her father, her pure-blooded mother took her back through the Rift to Makai. There, they lived in the ruins of the Agnhim Swamp, in a small colony of water-based Spiritus where her mother had grown up. The colony used the young Majin as a tool more than anything, though never really looked down on her for her 'halfbreed' status. But when she left at the age of 18 it was because she was fed up with being used for her 'humanity.' With no reason to return to Midgard, Étaín now resides alone a few miles outside of Poena Privus enjoying the easy of access to the shopping in a large city, but the quiet of an aged city.
