All players signing up will be given a choice of two roles
- Only newbies that are, people without any existing TiH character, will be allowed to sign up as wild cards at this period in time. The current available signup roles for existing characters are Knight, Bishop, Rook, Pawn.
- Once again only newbies (anyone WITHOUT an existing TiH character) can sign up as wild cards
- Kings are allowed to pick a few players! However, there is also a random chance to the choosing. That means while the King would LIKE you to be a queen (or a specific player) it may not always be exactly what you want! Be very open to the fact that you may not get placed exactly where you want to be.
- You obviously need to be signed up even for a king to pick you. As a King, they can pick your player as the role you signed up for or suggest another role.
gaia_crown [ Selection Process: ]
- Kings get to list several "preferred" characters. Those will be weighted, talked about and considered. It must make IC sense for the king to take those.
- Everyone else will be split equally among all other kings, as well as their roles. There is also a chance even if your character is not a newbie that they will still get rolled a wild card role or ??? opportunity.
- ALL PLAYERS REGARDLESS OF NEWBIE OR NOT WILL BE GIVEN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SPECIAL OCCURRENCES TO HAPPEN TO THEM, regardless of if you are picked by a king or chosen at random. I want to stress as importantly as I can that ultimately, as the plot progresses, roles do not matter as much as your choices you make during the plot. 
If you already have an existing TiH character you would like to sign up you can simply proceed. Existing characters however, will be changed to fit the IC setting. That means:
- Existing characters retain their character personality traits but remember nothing of the TiH IC storyline. All the know is the seven kings storyline (see above and here), and whatever is related to their assigned King's realm (you will be given an information thread that will contain IC information about your King's domain). This is all your character will know.
- However, the event is still IC, just for the duration of this event, your character will not remember why they have occurred upon this event until the very end!
- This means everything is very alternate universe during the event. Other than personalities, everything else can be reconstructed as you see fit. Think of each character as a blank slate soldier fighting in their King's domain. Factions can be crossed (since there is no longer such things as faction): everyone is considered "humanoid"/ there is no definitive boundary of species.
- Hunters don't have weapons, unless "weapons" are specified in the domain dictated by their king.
- Halloween creatures do not have natural forms unless "natural forms" are specified in the domain dictated by their king
- Horsemen do not have mounts unless "mounts" are specified in the domain dictated by their king
- Insanity/ Fear and Distortion still exist, but exist as opposite elements to each other. How a character attacks is entirely dictated by their king's domain. Ie if a King's domain is fire, it means your character under that king's domain, will only attack with the element of fire within the King's restrictions (however they want ie: they throw balls of fire).
- EXAMPLE OF HOW THIS WORKS: I am player Steve and I own Horsemen Mary. I sign Mary up, with the preference of her being a Knight. I get rolled as a starting off Knight in the domain of Grief (white crown kingdom). I will immediately go to the white crown kingdom sticky and read the IC information. All powers posted there related to my role (Knight) and my Kingdom I will incorporate. If the white crown kingdom has the element of spontaneously combusting ie: their special ability is that they get to spontaneously combust all the time, I will adopt this to my character, in any way I see fit. Perhaps I my character has a sword that channels the ability to spontaneously combust, etc etc, this is up to you and your teammates really, if you have a question you can always contact your crown leader (the person who is the King for that domain) or the general admin Zoobey running the evening.
gaia_crown [ New Players: ]
- New players are players that DO NOT have an existing character. That means you have NO TiH characters.
- You will be playing as WILD CARDS ie: blank slates. That means your character can take on any role when they are ready! This is to give you a great chance to play in this world, play around with the characters and get to know the other characters, and then ultimately come to a choice as to your alignment
- There are light battle mechanics that you need to learn, but as long as you can read, it should not be too difficult. New players are very much welcome and encouraged for this event. They do not need to know anything other than the poster graphic above, the general event rules, and information about any King domains they are interested (their character is interested) in joining.
- EXAMPLE OF HOW THIS WORKS: I sign up and I am given a NEUTRAL SPECTATING orp area to start off with and a few links to read the stickies and mechanics. I read rps and participate by watching to see how things go. I have my character interact by spectating and be able to talk to people of all domains. From then, I can choose at any point in time myself where I want my character to go in an IC perspective. There will be a FAQ detailing how I join a domain (King's domain) but the general idea is that you ICly interact with the King to do so.
- For newbie players, you will be given a chance to win your character as a full custom and IC TiH character! We will be rolling as many winners as we can from this event, like we have done for past large scale events like this. That means the more active you are, the higher a chance you will have of flat out just winning this character!
- We do ask for all newbie signups that you create a quest thread first
Seven Kings is a very RP intensive event! The major reward from the event is that you will get to participate in a fast-paced, and plot heavy event with several players and really enjoy watching your character change and develop as the events unfold. YOU control the greatest power as to each and every conscious decision your character makes, but beyond that YOU become part of the storyline, and event itself!
- This does that mean that everything you do will change everything forever, but it does mean we will do our best to promise that your character will be immersed into a very intense, storyline heavy event that will encourage your skills as a writer and rper!
- That being said we will also be offering:
- Several full custom slots for newbies and anyone entering a quest character
- Special Seven Kings-themed alternate arts of your character that you can use on their certs. This could include a small retouch: your character with the colours of their King's domain for example, or a small pendant of their experiences in this event.
- Special Seven Kings themed minipets, of course, and a special trophy for this event!
- For existing characters we will also offer special event-only artifacts at the end as well as of course a surplus of rp points. Everyone is heavily encouraged to join!
