BASIC INFORMATION

While Seven Kings is an RP heavy event, where players are encouraged to rp and interact with each other at a no-holds-barred limit, it also does have rules.
- All players are ICly aware of the IC rules, they are given names, and spoken by The Voice.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The Voice: A higher power that reigns over them, residing in the "hidden" tower, a mysterious area that is said to be revealed once the final king overcomes all other thing and ascends his kingdom.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Kingdom: The Kingdom is where the player starts off at. That is their "home base", the faction they are aligned with. A player's Kingdom is who they will be fighting for, and what will guarantee that player's survival. Each Kingdom has an ORP thread which players can rp and interact with other players of that Kingdom with at all times.
- You can only rp with players of your Kingdom colour. To visit your "Home" thread, simply visit the link according to your character's sorted colour. If you do not know what your character's sorted colour is, go here!

gaia_crown The Black Kingdom
gaia_crown The Violet Kingdom
gaia_crown The Blue Kingdom
gaia_crown The Red Kingdom
gaia_crown The White Kingdom

Lives: Each player has 1 life. That means when their HP (Miasma Shield) hits 0, they lose one life. When they die for the first time, they automatically find everything blacking out as the Miasma consumes them... and they return back to their Kingdom. Basically their Kingdom has protected them, but only ONCE. After they die the first time, the second time it is permanent. This only applies after day 4.
- From days 1 -3 you are pretty much immune, if you die, you just reappear back at your Kingdom. However, any points you have gathered from events in that specific event thread that you died from will also be lost permanently.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Placement: Please note you can only be in one thread at one time. If you have to leave and come back, leave your character in the thread of choice, and then choose to wrap up and then post EXIT IN OOC QUOTES when you are wrapped up and ready to exit. Post ENTER IN OOC QUOTES when you want to enter a thread.

Death: From now on, if you die, pleas post to the death solo thread

CHECKMATE:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Kings can only be attacked in very specific conditions. A King has however HP remaining that he has not granted to other players. Kings cannot attack each other. Kings represent their kingdom: you attack the King, not their kingdom. Once a King falls, their Kingdom collapses.

A king can only be attacked when:

- in their KINGDOM THREAD OR IN THE BATTLEFIELD.

GENERAL RANKS:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [ King ability: Recruit ]: Can recruit any player at the cost of their HP. All Kings have 600 starting HP. This subtraction is PERMANENT. That means if they have 500 HP, and they recruit a queen, they PERMANENTLY have 400/400 HP. This is a passive ability.
- Queens cost 100 HP. There can only be one at a time.
- Knights/ bishop / rook cost 50 HP. There can only be two of each at a time.
- Pawns have no cost! They are unlimited in numbers!
- Wild cards cost 2d20 HP.
- Kings cannot attack unless they have been DIRECTLY attacked by another player. Kings roll 2d10 - 6 to attack.
- Kings defend themselves for 1d12 (or another player, single target)
- They may use their Kingdom's special ability twice per battle.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [Queen ability: Overpower ]: A Queen can overpower any player once and send their HP to 1. They cannot do this to another Queen or King. They can only use this ability once IN THE ENTIRE EVENT. This is a passive ability.
- A queen has 60 HP.
- Queens roll 2d12- 6 to attack. (2 12-sided dice minus 6, so if I roll 10 and 10, I do 20 - 6 = 14 damage).
- Queens roll 1d12 to defend (1 12-sided dice, so if I roll 5, I defend myself for 5 damage next turn).
- They may use their Kingdom's special ability twice per battle.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [Knight ability: Berserk ]: If a Knight has a 15 of their HP remaining or LESS, all their attacks are doubled for MELEE ATTACKS ONLY. Once their HP rises above 15, they attacks are normal again. This is a passive ability.
- A Knight has 50 HP
- Knights roll 2d10-6 to attack (2 10-sided dice minus 6, so if I roll 10 and 10, I do 20 - 6 = 14 damage).
- Knights roll 1d10 to defend (1 10-sided dice, so if I roll 5, I defend myself for 5 damage next turn).

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [Rook ability: Defend ]: A Rook may roll 2d12 -6 to heal themselves or another player in battle (single target). They can only use this once per battle. They can use this max of five times outside of battle ONLY in their Kingdom thread.
- A Rook has 50 HP
- Rooks roll 2d10-6 to attack (2 10-sided dice minus 6, so if I roll 10 and 10, I do 20 - 6 = 14 damage).
- Rooks roll 1d10 to defend (1 10-sided dice, so if I roll 5, I defend myself for 5 damage next turn).

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [Bishop ability: Evasion ]: A Bishop may choose to negate one player's action. They can only do this once per battle/ tournament. Your bishop must state using the action and then select their target. The targeted player does 0 attack, defense, or heals their next turn. Passive abilities canstill apply.
- A Bishop has 50 HP
- Bishops roll 2d10-6 to attack (2 10-sided dice minus 6, so if I roll 10 and 10, I do 20 - 6 = 14 damage).
- Bishops roll 1d10 to defend (1 10-sided dice, so if I roll 5, I defend myself for 5 damage next turn).

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [Pawn ability: Adaptation ]: - If a Pawn defeats any player after day 4 and that player has no more lives, they take that player's role. That means if a Pawn defeats a Queen and that Queen has no more lives, the Pawn takes on the role of Queen (for their Kingdom). That means yes, you could technically have two Queens in your Kingdom. A Pawn's ability is useless until day 4 and on.
- A Pawn has 40 HP
- Pawns roll 2d8-6 to attack (2 8-sided dice minus 6, so if I roll 10 and 10, I do 20 - 6 = 14 damage).
- Pawns roll 1d8 to defend (1 8-sided dice, so if I roll 5, I defend myself for 5 damage next turn).

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. gaia_crown [Wild Card ability: Chance ]: Wild cards can pick up any role. They can only do this once. They cannot pick up roles in Kingdoms that already have the MAX of that role (ie: they cannot be a Bishop if that Kingdom already has two Bishops). Once a wild card has taken that role, it cannot be reversed and they will no longer be able to change faction. Wild cards cannot take the roll of queen or king.
- Once again, a Wild Card can only take on a role of a Bishop, if that Kingdom does not have 2 Bishops. That means if a Kingdom started with 1 Bishop, a King can take in a Wild Card, and make them the second one. That Wild Card will be PERMANENTLY the Bishop from now on. If a Wild Card that has turned into a Bishop falls, or is slain by a Pawn, the Pawn now has a Bishop Role (in whatever Kingdom they are in).
- In order for a Wild Card to convert, they need to directly approach the King of that Kingdom. They will they pledge their loyalty/ rp as you see fit, and the King will make a choice of whether or not to recruit that Wild Card. If the King agrees, they will roll the 2d20 points cost, subtract it from the King's total HP and RP accordingly.
- After the bond is done, the Wild Card takes up the new role. This will become their PERMANENT role.
- A Wild Card can also choose to simply work with a King unconverted, but it means they can also betray that King. Unconverted working with a King means they don't get that Kingdom's special ability.
- Unconverted Wild Cards roll 2d8-6 to attack. They have a base HP of 50HP, unconverted.
- Unconverted Wild Cards roll 1d8 to defend.
- When a Wild Card dissipates, they end up in any NEUTRAL ZONE labelled area (of your choice)

Miasma:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Like, Fear, Insanity, Distortion, Miasma is the essence of the Seven Kings universe. Characters in that world are able to draw from the Miasma and tap into the powers. Players NEED Miasma in order to survive: the more they have the stronger they are, in its filtered form, known as Miasma Shields.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Miasma Colours: A miasma's colour is dependent on the colour of that player's King. A player with blue miasma will belong to the blue king, for example.
- Only Wild Cards can change miasma colours ever (they start off as silver)

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Miasma Effects: Each kingdom/ king has a special miasma effect unique to their kingdom. All players that are pledged to that king will obtain that special ability.
- Only Wild Cards can change miasma colours ever (they start off as silver)

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Miasma Shields: When players attack each other, a natural "shield", the Miasma Shield occurs which is literally, their HP (Health Points). This has a light appearance, an "aura" that is invoked when a player is directly attacked by another player. When this shield breaks, they are at 0 HP. The player has been defeated. There are two options.
- Each Kingdom is given a grant pool of 200 Miasma Shield points. Think of this as backup healing items in storage. These are not bound to any player and can only be granted from the king to any other player.
- Players can be healed by other players, or use their own abilities DURING BATTLE. Outside of battles/ event threads players cannot attack or heal themselves.
- After day 4, if a player hits 0 HP twice, they are permanently eliminated and will suffer from Miasma withdrawal. The death is painful, they suffer hallucinations and delusions until the final moment where they collapse silently, clawing at their throat. A swift death for that player, by any team member, is often preferred.
- Miasma Shields cannot be directly healed by gathered Miasma Points (see below). These two things have no direct relationship to each other.

MIASMA POINTS AND YOU:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Miasma Points: Miasma points is the "currency" of the realm in its pure, undilluted form. Miasma Points are what is required to literally, fuel a kingdom. A kingdom that is low in Miasma Points is easily subject to attack. The kingdom with the lowest Miasma Points is considered the weakest kingdom.
- Your kingdom is DEPENDENT ON THE MIASMA POINTS ITS PLAYERS COLLECT.
- Miasma points are what are obtained in events/ resources around them. Consider it the most pure and undiluted form of resources a kingdom needs to survive. Without Miasma Points, a kingdom cannot regenerate its Miasma Shield. While Miasma Points cannot directly affect a player, it does affect the whole team.
- Basically, think of Miasma Points as points you are able to collect for a team tally. They affect your team score, any only your team score. You cannot use these points to heal etc etc, they go directly to the Kingdom.
- EXAMPLE: I enter Event A and collect +25 Miasma Points. That means I bring a +25 point tally home. I will drop off my points HERE for my Kingdom. At the end of the given time, my contribution to my Kingdom in Miasma Points will determine whether my Kingdom falls or not. The Kingdom with the LEAST Miasma Points will fall.

MIASMA POINTS DROPOFF:

When a player has obtained Miasma Points in any event or GM Grant, they should drop it off HERE
PostPosted: Fri Jan 18, 2013 8:13 pm

THREAD TYPES:

The plot will follow in a pretty linear fashion, but will have several thread TYPES.
- You will NOT be creating threads, you will only be following threads that the GMs have already created, or will create. Make sure to read the EVENT ANNOUCEMENTS for the latest updates and posts!

gaia_crown [ Kingdom Thread ]: A kingdom thread is the main ORP thread where a kingdom resides. IF you are part of that kingdom that is where you PRP. That is where you interact with the King and other players of your kingdom. That is where the King interacts with you and where you can read all the rules and information about your kingdom. This is your player's HOME BASE.
- Anyone can RP in a Kingdom Thread as long as they have an IC reason to be there. A player can only be in one place at one time so be sure to EXIT when you need to leave this thread. If you need to backdate RP that is fine, just make sure to ICly note that this rp is backdated and happens before __ event.

gaia_crown [ EVENT THREAD ]: An event thread, also known as GM PRP/ GM ORP is where events will be happening.
- Events will often contain challenges in the first post, such as bringing back an item, fighting a boss, so on so forth. They also have a SETTING, as to where this event is located. Make sure you read the setting and challenges properly and follow the rules as needed.
- You can only go to an event thread if your character has been ICly directed there by a King OR by the admin (Zoobey) in OOC quotes. For example, Zoobey may make a long GM post and then post that all players in that thread will have to move to this EVENT thread. You will then do so. Or, the King may decide to move your player to a specific EVENT thread ICly. You will follow those instructions as needed too
- Event threads are linear and straightforward. They are often COMPETING ROLES for a chance for your character to win Miasma points for their kingdom.

gaia_crown [ Battle Thread ]:
- A battle thread is what happens when an event area is being thickly contested. The thread may stop being an event and turn into a battle thread. Please note the admin post when this happens. Often, a new thread can also be created as a battle thread zone. Players are also, when prompted by admin permission only, able to create battle prp threads to challenge other players. Please see below for more information on battles.

HOW TO BATTLE:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

You will only have to battle if a thread is labelled BATTLE or if a GM has cleared you for battle. These are the ONLY CONDITIONS for battle.
- Please keep in mind, Kingdoms may eventually also be open battle zones later on. IF a thread has BATTLE in its title, it means anyone inside of it is attack-able, barring special conditions.
- Examples of non battle thread include EVENT and ORP threads as well as TRIBUTE threads.

gaia_star You can only take a max damage of 20/ a max defense of 15 or heal for a max of 20 per TURN.

gaia_star A player can only take one action (see below) in a turn, not including passive abilities. This includes attacking, defending, healing, special abilities, etc. A player cannot take another turn until their target has reacted or six hours have passed.

gaia_star You cannot attack twice an "inactive" target. Inactive targets are players that have not replied back to you after six hours. You need to wait for them to reply before attacking them again.

gaia_star Assuming its target replies, a player and its target can now attack unlimited times!. .

gaia_crown [ Step 1: ] Select a target.

Each player gets one action turn. You can only select one target at a time. If you choose target B, that means you are doing attack, damage, or heals to them. You need to quote your selected target's rper so they know you are trying to get their attention.

Special Case: Defending. Certain players will be defending other players. If you see yourself being quoted, but that player is NOT attacking you, it may be because they are defending the person you are attacking. They just want to let you know that you should probably ICly be aware of their existence.

gaia_crown [ Step 2: ] Make a post.

- Roll the dice according to your character's rank (Ie: if I am a pawn, I will be rolling 2 6-sided dice, so on so forth).
- Next, before you write in your rp, immediately edit your post by quoting your target and the damage/ defense/ heals done to them. Use the battle form below, and fill out the desired areas. This needs to be done BEFORE you write your rp
- Hit submit after your edit. Now you can take the time to write your rp as long as you want. It is because players are waiting on YOU and literally cannot move until they know what attack you are using/ if you are defending/ healing/ and how much damage you do!

Special Case: Special attacks. If you are using your Kingdom's special ability OR your rank's special ability, please mark it in OOC QUOTES as you submit your post and roll the proper dice (if applicable).
- You can only use a special attack once for each special unique attack your character knows (So for all players, one Rank ability and one Kingdom ability).

gaia_crown Rank Abilities:

- Rank abilities are abilities that anyone of your character's rank knows. For instance, a Bishop can skip a player's turn, a Knight can beserk, etc. The will post, quoting that character, and post in that character's quote brackets for now that they are skipping that player's turn.
- You can only use this once per battle/ per thread.

gaia_crown Kingdom Abilities:

- Kingdom abilities are abilities that your character is blessed with from their Kingdom. Everyone has the same Kingdom ability. This is the closest thing you'll get to a Fear Attack/ Charged Attack.
- Example: I will use my Kingdom Ability to roll twice instead of once. I post specifying what I am doing while quoting my target. I then proceed to do this.
- You can only use this once per battle/ per thread.

gaia_crown [ Step 3: ] Waiting for replies:

- Sometimes your opponent has gone to bed. Sometimes they need to leave. For whatever reason, if your opponent takes longer than 6 hours to reply, you are free to move to another target. No, you cannot attack the same target if they don't reply to you.
- If your opponent DOES reply to you, by doing the same steps as above (quoting, etc etc), then it FREES up your used action. You can now attack again, defend again, etc. You can attack the opponent again.
- You can only take three turns MAX (even if you are being replied to!) within the time span of 12 hours from your first battle post.
- If a player is attacking/ defending/ healing themselves, that counts as one turn, even though in theory it means you can use another turn since your target is yourself.

gaia_crown [ Step 4: ] Multiple Attacks:

- Sometimes in thread, several players will gang up on a single player. That player becomes protected. A single player cannot take more than 20 HP damage in any turn by any attack no matter what condition. The only exception is the Queen's special ability, where it instantly KO's a player.
- That means even if 200 people attacked me at 1 damage each, I'm only taking 20 damage.
- However, the second I respond, I am freeing my turn up. People can attack again OR attack me again.
- If multiple people are attacking you or you are being targeted, please be considerate to other players as well and make sure you respond to your turn so they can do something else as well.

gaia_crown [ Step 6a: ] Fleeing the Battle:

- If your character is wounded and there are no GM special conditions for fleeing in that specific thread, you can flee/ escape the battle!
- Your character will need to take all the damage done to them before they escape. After they have calculated the damage taken, they can then post that they are fleeing in OOC.
- You cannot attack and then flee. Fleeing takes up your free action turn.

gaia_crown [ Step 6b: ] Win/ Defeat in Battle

- If your character wins a fight with another player, well, good for them okay.
- If your character is defeated, they feel their Miasma fading before their form collapses entirely.
- If this happens before day 4, all players simply end up back in their Kingdom with full HP
- If this happens after day 4, and you have no lives, then you move on to your death solo/ death post

DEFEAT

gaia_crown Days 1 - 3:

- From Day 1 - 3 your character can be defeated but they cannot DIE. Being Defeated (at 0 HP or less) means your character will simply respawn back in their Kingdom. Their Kingdom is protecting them!
- From day 4 onwards it is FREE GAME. Anyone can kill your character, or any event. Please note if you already died prior to day 4, it means you have NO LIVES. If you have not, you have ONE LIFE.

gaia_crown DEATH AND YOU:
- When your character dies, please move to the DEATH SOLO THREAD. Fill out the prompt in the first post. After that you will be quoted by a gm for a second prompt. Fill out that one too!
- The Death Solo is a huge deciding factor for us GMs to judge how you did in this event! This is a great chance for you to summarize and expand on what you have done for your character as well! Don't be too discouraged if you die early, you don't know what's going to happen afterwards as death is not the ending...

SPECIAL GM ROLES:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

- Occasionally a GM (admin) may interact with your character. The only GM doing this for this event is Zoobey. If you see your character being interacted by an NPC, respond as you see fit. Depending on your actions, or depending on what you're given, you may receive a special role. These roles can be game breakers, so think carefully! This could happen to ANYONE!

TIMELINE OF EVENTS:

gaia_crown Day 1:
You are awoken by the Voice who talks to you about its purpose, none other than for your Kingdoms to fight and from it, choose the True King. The True King will receive anything they so desire. The Voice then asks the Kings from the Kingdoms to choose representatives, warriors that will fight for the cause.

gaia_crown Day 2 and 3:
These warriors are then told to fight on the battlefield. They must go out and claim three territories and seek as many Miasma Points as possible. Miasma is what makes their Kingdoms stronger, what defines the Kingdoms and the Voice itself. All warriors of each Kingdom must compete against each other, the Kingdom with the lowest points will fall.
- At the same time, those who discovered the Silver Kingdom secret tower also discovered a secret chamber in which lay a Silver Gate. Touching the gate pulls open strangers who do not belong in this world, they scatter and go their separate ways. The strange lake they discover below also offers an unusual riddle, speaking of the crowns and what they represent.

gaia_crown Day 4:
The tournament wraps to a close. The Black Kingdom falls, its Kingdom splits in half, though its King and all subjects are spared. Everyone is asked once again to fight. The Voice explains the choosing of the True King is drawing near, and the last fight will take place in the greatest battlefield, with each Kingdom fighting to the death as warriors.
- A strange thing happens to those who die however...
- In addition, strangers not from this world have come in contact with warriors of each Kingdom. They explain what is going on: that everything in this world is simply a memory pulled from the Voice. All those they loved and trusted are memories of the real ones. And more sinister itself are the real bodies of the "Seven Kings", sleeping, never to awake until the fake 'Kings' of this world are destroyed.

gaia_crown Day 5:
- The Silver Gate has been removed and everything becomes a little more unstable. The Voice is weakened by the intrusion of strangers and those who disobey its given rules.
- From the recesses of discarded Miasma, of those of the fallen, appear fragments of the past. Silvers as they call themselves, a gift from two who would see the Voice fall, for their own purposes.
- A strange figure also appears, he who crowns himself the 'Silver King', though there is no King for a Kingdom that does not quite exist nor define itself. While the Voice has no choice but to acknowledge its existence, it Silver Kingdom is not its creation. It struggles to maintain its own reality and ward it from invaders.
- At the same time two opposing forces from not within this world seek to take the Voice for their own. They speak of something..... Kings and Artifacts... sleeping dreams and...... as the ultimately are the cause for the slow collapse of this world.
- Everything else slowly dissolves to chaos as forces battle each other, battle their own Kings, and struggle for the right to exist a little longer.
