Match Weakness: Hardcore style matches,

Bio: Whenever Mike isn't wrestling, he is thinking of new and innovative ways to wrestle. Be it moves, match types, or entrances, Mike is constantly innovating the wrestling world. Mike is heavily influenced by the UFC, and is a heavy grappler, relying greatly on underhooks and technical wrestling. Though he is a intense grappler, he is also well versed in kicks and throws.

Noteable feuds: Matt Stone, Geoff, Jed, The Undertaker, The Rock, Randy Orton, Kelly King 2.0, Matt Shanahan, Shawn Michaels, Phoenixfire, GBL, Snypa Rifle, Jarel Damone, Chrono Clepsydra, Brantley Summers.

History: Mike's career started in the original FFA, run by then friend Kelly King 2.0, where he experienced immediate success. He won the very first Free For All match to win his first title, the FFA World Championship. He would hold that title one more time before his priorities changed and he encountered The Monitor. Neo Hurricane Michael, FFA's resident superhero took The Monitor under his wing and they became very successfully FFA Tag Team champions. The superhero duo defended justice and tag gold alike during their reign. They lost their titles to Vince Caputo and Jonathan, just in time for the next Free For All match. The tag team seemed dominant until a miscommunication caused The Monitor to lay out his tutor and eliminate him from the match. Monitor went on to win that FFA Match to win his first and only FFA World championship. This didn't sit well with Mike, and it caused him to turn on his loyal student and beat him senseless. Mike has still not forgiven Monitor for what happened that day.

As the FFA evolved, so did Mike. He abandoned his Superhero form and became an identity all his own. Mike eventually abandoned the FFA and joined the WTF (Wrestling Tyrants Federation) where possibly the greatest battles of his life took place. There he met a large golden haired behemoth named Hunter. Each man immediately recognized the others skill, and over the years and years of competition they clashed in historic confrontations. The two most impressive would undoubtedly be the pair of Hell in a Cell matches that changed each mans life forever. The first one was Mike's choice, the first and last Watch Your Step Hell in a Cell. Mike was victorious after delivering an Hurrislam from the top of the structure causing Hunter to collapse through an announce table, making Mike the winner. The second was a classic Hell in a Cell, where Hunter took his revenge and delivered a botched Vertibreaker from atop the cell, giving Hunter the victory, but causing both men to leave the business to recover from their brutal injuries.

When Mike was ready to return, the WTF and FFA had reached an agreement and merged into the WTF/FFA Alliance, where Mike got his next taste of gold. Mike won the WTF title at long last and reignited his feud with Vince Caputo in an attempt to merge the World title with the United States title. Their first encounter was for the WTF championship, in which Mike successfully defended. Their second encounter had both titles on the line in a two out of three falls match. Vince won the first fall when Mike, in desperation, low blowed Vince. He immediately followed up with a school boy and won the second. Vince finally came out victorious in the final fall but since the first fall came as a result of a disqualification, no titles changed hands. Mike developed a friend and tag team partner in new comer Momo Jones, the Ladies Man. Another dominant tag team, they pushed through their competition until they were given a shot at then tag team champs James Caputo and Dakota Koontz. It appeared that Mike and Momo would cement their legacy and become tag team champs, but a personal rivalry backstage caused Mike to show his true colors once more and turn on his protégé, costing them the match. Momo swore revenge and got it the next month when he challenged Mike for the WTF championship, defeating him in a match that truly displayed each mans power and technical ability. Once again dejected by a former partner, Mike became deeply ill and once again had to take a sabbatical from wrestling.

When he resurfaced, he came to the Twisted Flow as the bodyguard for the Glitch Wrestling Federation. Mike became known as The Innovator, and proved his name with his outlandish wrestling style and moves. Immediately he made an impact, unleashing his pent up rage on Geoff and Jed with his new favorite weapon, the trash can. Mike once again encountered The Monitor here and they tried to set aside their differences to become a dominant tag team once more. In a three on one handicap match consisting of Geoff and Jed against Mike, the Monitor, and the man known as 1.0, Mike displayed that their partnership could never again be. He betrayed the Monitor once again and kicked him out of the GWF. Monitor retaliated, but his attempt left him a bloody pulp in the ring at the hands of his former teacher. Mike, in realizing his potential also realized he had to expand from his comfort zone in order to be truly great.

Mike did just that, trying his hand in a vast number of Indy wrestling companies and gathering a massive amount of gold, and one impressive accomplishment: forcing The Undertaker to tap out in his signature match, the Watch Your Step match.

However, everywhere he went, new rivals stood up and made Mike take notice. Men like Kelly King 2.0, The Undertaker, The Rock, Randy Orton, Ryuu Sakamoto, Matt Shanahan, Cartwright, Jacque and most famously Jed forced Mike to step up his game and become better than he had ever been, both in the ring and out. Mike refocused himself and became a better person because of it, and suddenly all new doors were opening for him. Mike began winning major gold once again, starting with the Canadian Heavyweight Championship, then the BWA Heavyweight Championship, WWE:ER Championship, WWE:E World Championship, and finally the DCW Championship.

DCW
Meantime, in DCW, his title win was very temporary, as not minutes after his victory it was taken away from him by Freakshow. Mike's possible last chance was at the title is at Extreme Nightmares, in a Watch Your Step Match. Mike suffered his very first Watch Your Step loss to Freakshow in a controversial decision, leaving Mike even more angered with management. Mike is given one more chance at Obsession to reclaim the gold in the first ever DCW Scramble Match against Matt Stone, Jeri, Jacob, and the DCW Champion Freakshow, and this time he got his redemption. Even with it, Mike still has not forgiven DCW's management for their booking policies and has made it his mission to make DCW and all associated with them as miserable as possible. In doing so, he wrote out the Ten Commandments of Wrestling, dictating that no one should attempt to challenge him for his DCW Championsip for fear of being eternally damned.

First Commandment: I am your Champion.
Second Commandment: Thou shalt not have other Champions before…or after me.
Third Commandment: Thou shalt not purchase engraved versions of my Championship, but thy shall receive an autograph for fifty dollars.
Fourth Commandment: Thou shalt lay claim to my Championship in vain.
Fifth Commandment: Thou shalt remember the day of my reign and keep it holy, March 22nd.
Sixth Commandment: Thou shalt honor thy Champion and never question him.
Seventh Commandment: Thou shalt not pin or submit your Champion. Not out of morality, but because you just can’t.
Eighth Commandment: Thou shalt not steal my Championship. Let Freakshow be thy example
Ninth Commandment: Thou shalt not bear false witness against me to a referee or management.
Tenth Commandment: Thou shalt not covet my Championship.

WWE:U
Before Landry's heartbreak he developed a year long feud with veteran competitor Jed, and a very personal rivalry against newcomer Matt Shanahan, which saw Matt running Mike over with a car in order to win the love of the beautiful Ashley Massarro. Mike won the heart of Ashley and his new fans after defeating Matt in his signature Watch Your Step Match, but in the shadows waited Jed as always.

Mike and Jed formed a temporary tag team, finally setting their differences aside to become a great union of two talented singles stars. Unfortunately it dissolved when Mike found pain killers in his partner's bag. This time it was Jed who betrayed Mike, causing the hatred to reignite between the two. They faced off in match that exemplified their feud, a brutal Last Man Standing match in which Mike came out the victor. Unfortunately, it wasn't over there. Mike also competed in an Ironman Steel Cage match at WrestleVasion that left Mike scarred and bitter after the contest. He lost, possibly his hardest defeat in his entire career, and it caused him to turn against the fans.

Mike is given a shot at the very first WWE:U Heavyweight Championship. After wreaking some revenge against Nuke for his disgraceful actions at WrestleVasion, Mike moved on to the finals to challenge Venom for the new belt. Before the match, Mike was attacked by Nuke Fusion and subsequently saved by his future opponent Venom, but during the fray, Mike turned on Venom to gain an advantage in their upcoming match. The new colors Mike showed left a bad taste in the audience mouth and they turned on him, leaving Mike alone and confused. The new angry Mike went on to win the championship at Backlash, and now he has made it his mission to "Break the Heart" of every single wrestler and fan alike until his pain matches theirs. Mike Landry won the very first WWE:U Heavyweight Championship and defends it against Venom in a bloodfeud that spanned three months and lead Landry to discover he was a long lost member of the Graham Wrestling Family. However none of that seemed to matter to his life long rival, Kelly King 2.0. Kelly King 2.0 challenged Mike Landry to a match at Backlash, which Landry used to display his true capabilities to injure someone when he low blowed Kelly King 8 times in the match with the help of then protege Layla El. Kelly King left that match enraged, and decided to get his revenge by breaking into his home and forcing him into the first ever "Horror Movie" match in which Kelly King 2.0 tortured and tormented Mike Landry inside of his own home in Fort Collins, Colorado, leading to Landry's ultimate loss of his Heavyweight Championship. However the justice was lost on Mike Landry, and in an ultimate act of sadistic cruelty, stole the ashes of Kelly King 2.0's childhood dog and held it over King's head for months on end. When Kelly King 2.0 ultimately failed to assist Landry in regaining his WWE:U Heavyweight Championship, Landry decided to punish the King by smashing the box. And now all hell has broken loose, and Mike Landry and Kelly King 2.0's ultimate rivalry will come to a head when they face off in Mike Landry's signature match...the Watch Your Step Match.

WWE:E
World championships aren't the only thing on his mind however. Across the landscape of the wrestling world a new tag team has formed. Not just any tag team, -The- Tag Team. With his partner and fellow World Champion Matt Stone, -The- Tag Team has been taking tag team wrestling by storm. With WWE:E Evolution Tag Team titles already in hand, -The- Tag Team just extended their reign at The Crusade by claiming the unified Warped/Venom Championship for Matt Stone, as well as the WWE:E Undisputed Championship for Mike Landry. With every single title available to them split between -The- Tag Team, everyone is wondering. What could possibly be next?! What was next was to have Kelly King 2.0 join their ranks when -The- Tag Team assisted him in winning a ladder match that earned 2.0 Number One Contendership to the Undisputed Championship. The three of them decreed that they were "The Best," and now Mike Landry has the tag team division conquered, and the Undisputed Championship Number One Contender in his pocket. All seemed to be going swimmingly for months, but the GM decided to bipass protocall and put all the members of the newly formed faction of The Best to the test. Yuke and Harli, and in a controversial and ill-devised match, -The- Tag Team lost their Tag Team Championships. And in what seemed to be a downward spiral, Matt Stone and Kelly King 2.0 went on sebatical from wrestling, leaving the Undisputed Champion Mike Landry alone to face all the enemies he had accumulated as of late. Now Disciple is breathing down the neck of the Champion, and Nathaniel Creed is motivating the Dreadnaught to new levels of monsterous strength. Mike Landry defended his Undisputed Championship in a Lumberjack match with both surprise appearances of Kelly King and Matt Stone at ringside, but the controversial ending leading to Disciple submitting to the Figure of Perfection means that there will inevitably be a rematch, and there was at The Crusade, the same event he won the title one year ago. In a Triple Cage match against Jed Yuke and Disciple, Landry tried to cheat by using Bolt Cutters on the outside of the cage to retain his championship. He made it all the way down, descimating everyone in his path until Disciple finally got in his way, and taught Mike Landry the true meaning of pain. Disciple tied Landry up in the ropes and beat him within an inch of his life, until he finally took the title and walked out the door.

On the next night, Disicple bragged about how he finally defeated Mike Landry and confirmed the rumors that Mike Landry did not resign his WWE:E contract. In an odd turn of events, The Heartbreaker came out and gave a word of warning to Disciple: to not let the title go to his head. He challenged Disciple to hold the title better than he ever did, but Nathaniel Creed didn't let Landry get his message across, and after a spit in the face Nathaniel ordered Disciple to destroy Landry, which he did without a single ounce of resistance from The Heartbreaker. After a massive Chokeslam he pressed Landry over his head and threw him like a sack of potatoes over the top rope where he crashed into a table and shattered it into pieces. WWE:E has yet to hear from Mike Landry since the devistating beatdown.

That is, until now. Mike Landry returned on an episode of Destiny, where Draze and Harli were bragging about their dominance in the Tag Team division within WWE:E. Mike Landry, along with Yuke Clepsydra, took offense to the statement, and came out to challenge that claim. Landry, already a Tag Team Champion with Matt Stone with one of the longest reigns in the companies history, and Yuke who was Tag Team Champion with her husband Chrono, staked claim to being the best Tag Team wrestlers in the company, and the challenge was accepted. The unlikely tandem took on the reigning Champions, and were victorious when Harli turned on Draze and left him to be beaten and battered by the challengers. Landry and Clepsydra were victorious in gaining their second set of titles, but their was already unease among-st the new Champions. The next month, Landry, Chrono, and Phoenixfire won their respective Tri-Rumble matches to earn entry into the Triple Cage match, Landry's second time doing so. Landry now had to contend with the current Champion, Brantley Summers, his son's mother, Phoenixfire, that woman's husband, Chrono Clepsydra, who was his Tag Team Championship partner Yuki Clepsydra's current husband. It was a complicated match, and it didn't seem like Summers had a chance. Landry actually had a chance to take the win, but one of his offensive moves accidently pushed Chrono into Phoenixfire, which knocked her off the top tier of the cage. Chrono obviously wasn't going to reach out and save her, and so Landry decided to sacrifice his chances at winning to leap off of the cage and catch her and keep his baby's mother safe. Landry was battered and bloodied from the fall, but Phoenixfire was safe. As a result, Chrono was eventually defeated by Brantley Summers when Chrono's wife Yuki blew a fireball in his face, causing Chrono to don a protective mask.

The following episode of Destiny, Landry and Yuki lost their WWE:E Tag Team titles to the Honor Guard (Dion Necurat and Major Devastation) when Yuki decided not to show up for the match. Landry survived for a while, but eventually the numbers game took its toll on him and he suffered defeat at the hands of Das Boot. After the pinfall, Landry decided to take an indefinite hiatus from WWE:E, feeling he had nothing else to prove there.

EEW
Meanwhile, still in the singles division in EEW, Mike has developed a personal rivalry with Snypa, the self proclaimed Demented Genius of Extreme. Snypa took time out of his day to berate Chris Brown for being a wife beater, and true to his Heartbreaker fashion Mike Landry came out to support Mr. Brown for his actions. This lead to a steel cage match in which Chris Brown and Mike Landry tried to end Snypa's career by use of a steel chain, but in the end Snypa was able to pick up the win. Infuriated by his loss Mike took it out on Snypa by attacking him with an actual Sniper Rifle during a Speed PPV. The use of the weapon inspired Snypa to bring back the Taipei Deathmatch, a match that both men planned to end the rivalry between eachother once and for all, but in an unplanned twist of fate The Heartbreaker and EEW's resident wife beater scored the win over the Hardcore Genius by way of pinfall by reversing his deadly Call of Death Submission. With this added momentum Landry moved on to burn to defeat Scott Shock for number one contendership for the EEW Television title, where he defeated Marxx to win his very first title since coming back to EEW. Former tag team partner Matt Stone has come up to challenge Landry to see who really is the most successful member of -The- Tag Team, but it ended when Landry successfully defended his EEW Television title against Stone. Mike Landry grew angry at the bookings he has recieved from EEW Management, to the point of threatening to sue them if he did not recieve a second title shot. He presented his case and eventually did recieve an EEW Tag Team Championship opportunity at One Night Stand with his new tag team partner, Bryan Bain in a combination he called, "The Essence of Excellence." Unfortunately for Landry, they failed to capture the titles thanks to a title defence immediatly before the Tag Team title opportunity. Landry laid down his lawsuit once and for all, but at the last second Tim Silvia kept the peace, promising him a EEW Heavyweight Title match against Johnathon Riker. Finally, Landry was poised to become the new EEW Champion after a year and a half wait...but was foiled at the last second by Riker's devistating offence and resiliant conditioning. Riker dashed Landry's dream of becomming champion, and in a moment of reflection, he relinquished his EEW Television title he's held for over a year and left EEW.

Landry eventually returned successfully when EEW was in a time of need. Their World Championship was vacated by Kelly King during a time in adversity in his life, and a new one had to be crowned. Many men made their case, and it turned out to be Mike Landry vs. Brantley Summers in a continuance of their year-long feud that was set to end in an Iron Man Match at the EEW Birthday Show to crown the next Champion. Summers pulled ahead early, and Landry had to fight from behind in the last five minutes. It seemed like something possessed Landry, because everything Summers was throwing at him never seemed to keep him down, and he was able to hit his American Neck-Tie in order to pin him in the final seconds of the match, crowning Landry at long last as the EEW Champion.

WWFG:
Another thing Mike Landry has taken been known for as of late is torturing his nemesis Shawn Michaels. Mike Landry has deemed Shawn Michaels unworthy of his lifetime monicker of the "Heartbreak Kid", claiming that he is the one and only "Heartbreaker". He has even gone to the lengths of threatening anyone who refers to Shawn Michaels as HBK with severe punishments. So far Shawn has yet to retaliate as he claims to be "too busy" to get involved with Landry, but a confrontation between the two seems inevitable.

Aside from his singles and tag team career, Landry has branched out and taken a tutorial role. It started with being smitten by Phoenixfire in WWFG, which lead to him offering his wealth of knowledge, as well as his romantic partnership, to Phoenixfire. In the mean time, Matt Shanahan has once again objected to his relationship with the diva and has made it his mission to reveal Landry as the scumbag he is. His intentions seemed pure, but with Mike Landry there is always a second side to the story as proven by the episode of Supershow just before Mania. Mike tried to kiss Phoenixfire during a mixed tag match, but was rejected. In his blind rage of rejection Landry hit Phoenixfire with The Heartbreaker, and he was promptly punished for his transgressions at Wrestlemania against Matt Shanahan and Phoenixfire when they bashed his head with a baseball bat.

Now with Pheonixfire and Wrestlemania in his rearview mirror, the Heartbreaker turns his attention to Mardy Wilkes-Booth, a downtrotten and heartbroken girl who has had little success in the wrestling world. He came out during one of her promos talking about her life and decided to manipulate her with his mind games and eventually brain wash her into believeing that her life has no meaning without him. In an ultimate display of loyalty and submission, Landry forced Mardy to allow him to brand her in the small of her back with his logo, permanently scarring her skin. Soon afterwards, he did the same thing to Sandra with Mardy's help. Landry has warped the mind of Mardy, turning her into his willing puppet of love. However this all pales in comparison to Landry's most recent and most horriffic offense. Landry kidnapped Phoenixfire, knocked her unconcsious, raped her, branded her lower back just like Mardy and Sandra, then took her to a bridge and shoved her over the side...all caught on video by Mardy. With Phoenixfire seemingly now dead GBL has emerged to seek vengeance, and a violent blood feud has broken out between the two. Is GBL the one who can finally make Mike Landry answer for his crimes?

As it turns out, Phoenixfire can do it herself. After failing to take the Intercontinental title from GBL, Mike Landry enters the King of the Canvas Tournament. After dominating the first two rounds, he makes it into the finals against Kody Gordert, Harli and Joey Desch. That night, Phoenxfire reappears and because of it Landry is unable to get out of the blocks. Unable to focus. Landry tries to cheat, bringing out his briefcase to even the odds, but on the other end of the case Pheonixfire appears and proceeds to destroy Mike Landry with it, nearly shattering the ankle, both knees, lower back, neck and skull with it. Pheonixfire is set on revenge, and took out the branding iron he used to brand her lower back. In the ultimate display of Karma, she lights it up and presses it straight into his left pectoral, scarring him for life with his own insignia. Mike Landry was carted away by EMTs that night before the match ended.

Since being removed from action, Landry chose to reveal his secret to the world. Landry admited that the evil things he had done in the past was for the sole purpose of bringing out the best in every competitor and to find those willing to stand up to people like him. He admited he went too far, and now it was time to fight the good fight. In doing so, he opened himself up for revenge, and suffered a horrific beatdown from every single person he had wronged over the past two years. It left him hospitalized, but now he is finally back to show the world what the REAL Mike Landry can do.

Apparently, the REAL Mike Landry is a daddy. During his relationship with Phoenixfire, it was revealed they had a one night stand, and the result was Athena becoming pregnant with Mike Landry's son, Matthias. She and Chrono revealed this to him by bringing out the boy during a number one contenders match against Brody, whom Landry was testing to see if he could be the next big thing, his successor. Landry lost via the distraction, and after being knocked out, he was left with the birth certificate on his chest. Landry demanded rights to see his child, but citing their checkered past, Chrono and Athena claimed he was not to be trusted. Landry challenged Chrono to a match for custody, giving him all the advantage in the first ever "No DQ Falls Count Anywhere" match that the rules only applied to Chrono, not to Landry. Landry ended up making Chrono tap out for the first time in his career at the very moment that his shoudlers were counted out for a pinfall after the passed out from blood loss. In a rematch, the Watch Your Step match, Landry had Chrono pinned, but after the match the referee claimed that Chrono's foot was under the ropes, which he placed there after he was counted out. As Landry argued with the ref, Chrono Chokebombed Landry into oblivion and picked up the win, even though Landry's foot actually WAS on the ropes. Later that night, Landry was the surprise entrant in the Cage of Death match for the WWF Undisputed Championship, and he started by low blowing Chrono. He was ultimately unsuccessful after a close pinfall attempt to Nuke Fusion, but he was tied up in the ropes and left incapable of breaking up the pin.

Landry was granted one more opportunity to gain custody of his son, as Chrono challenged him to a Casket match. If he won, he would get partial custody. He he would lose however, his career would be over for good. Landry accepted, proving he would put anything on the line to get his family back. It was a devastating match both physically and emotionally. Landry was beaten, battered, bloodied and bruised from the first moments of the match, and every time he was able to land some offense, he was put down by his brutal opponent . For nearly an hour, Chrono decimated Landry, even when he put everything he had on the line. In the end, it was an assist from Phoenixfire that distracted Chrono, and allowed Landry to land a Suicide Overcastle to plant Chrono in the casket, and shut the door tight. He had finally done it, won custody of his child and the loyalty of his baby's mother. Everything he had sacrificed was finally worth it. Later that night, Chrono lost the WWF Championship to Freakshow, and with the new ruling being that former WWF Champions no longer have rematch opportunities, Landry was now next in line following his runner-up position in the Royal Rumble. On the next Supershow, Landry was given his long-awaited shot at the WWF Undisputed Championship against a man he had competed with for the entirety of his career, Freakshow. It wasa 5-Star match if ever there was one, and Landry dug deep and completed his quest to become the WWF Undisputed Champion. He had accomplished his dream, and now he is going on to Wrestlemania as the Champion, defending against the man who eliminated him in the Royal Rumble, Zarel Damone, and the man who has dogged him for almost two years as a rival, Brantley Summers.

EWA:
Landry would eventually retain his WWF Undisputed Championship, and would leave the company because of a dispute with management, vacating his most recent World Championship, in favor of pursuit of another. The last, and most highly coveted, EWA Championship. When he arrived, it didn't take Landry long to make waves. He quickly captured the EWA Vanguard Championship, a title he used to its fullest as it was a "Pick The Stip" Championship. Landry was a veteran submission specialist by this point, and would use this opportunity to pick mostly Submission and Watch Your Step matches to successfully defend his title over and over again. He seemed unstoppable, but thanks to a well timed interference from Freakshow, Brantley Summers was able to pick up a submission victory on an unconscious Landry. It seemed to be a blessing in disguise, because now that Landry's dance card was all freed up, he took that chance to go after the EWA Tag Team titles, with his long time friend and rival, Kelly King 2.0.

King and Landry decided to go after the titles, currently held by FWD Rookies Mr. Crisis and Eon Darkheart. They found it offensive that rookies, who didn't even have a full contract yet, would pursue a title. They took it upon themselves to teach these rookies a lesson in humility. King and Landry captured the tag team titles for the first time as a team, and it fulfilled a career-long dream for both of them. The duo defended the titles successfully for months, but eventually lost the titles in a multi-team match where they were divided and conquered by the other two teams, and eliminated.

Landry would them compete in a tournament to crown the first ever "Best in the World," within EWA. His first round, he wound up submitting Matt Stone, his former long time tag team partner and friend, who had grown jealous and petty. Stone would force himself back in to the tournament by injuring Landry's next opponent, but would fall to Landry once again. In the finals, Mike Landry faced off against Major Devastation in a Match of the Year Candidate. After nearly an hour, Landry was able to force Major to submit to the Figure of Perfection, and he was crowned Best in the World.

This was all inconsequential to Landry, because recently, Landry had developed a major rivalry with Chrono Clepsydra, now known as Malice. Chrono had become possessed by a mask he wore, and had developed an even more dangerous and destructive alter-ego. He used this new power to go after Landry once again, but it seemed to scare Phoenixfire away from him. Athena sought shelter in Landry's home, who reluctantly obliged. Landry allowed Athena and their son to stay under his roof, all the while, Malice was torturing Landry every week, beating him senseless in match after match, with the stakes growing higher and higher. Three Stages of Hell, Casket Match, and eventually...the first ever Iron Man Roulette match. The prize? Athena's freedom, and Landry's career. After a brutal, blood-curdling 60 minutes, Landry and Malice fought to a draw, and Malice's mask was knocked away from him. Athena was freed, and Mike Landry eventually shook Chrono's hand, putting the past year plus behind them in favor of peace and forgiveness. Apparently, Athena did not find this treaty favorable, and blew fire in to Landry's face, as well as knocking Chrono off of his high horse, and in to the electrical equipment, causing it to explode. Athena took the mask, and with it, transformed in to the Dark Phoenix.

Landry, after recovering from his substantial injuries, tried to reason with Athena, but she was possessed by the mask, and would not listen to reason. She would dedicate her time to torturing Landry psychologically, including threatening to commit suicide, and drop their 2 year old son from 40 feet to the ground. Landry decided it was not worth the effort to try and convince Athena to come back to the side of angels, and simply took his son with him and left. But even condemning her was not enough to stay away, because now, he is forced to tag team with the mother of his only son for the tag team titles. Neither member of the team wants to win, but circumstances force them to compete.

It wasn't long after that Phoenixfire attacked Landry in the backstage area, leaving him broken and burned. It was during the tussle that Mike was able to rip the mask off of Phoenixfire, breaking the mask's hold on her. Mike confessed that he didn't feel any anger towards her, and that he still loved her. The two left privately together, and began dating again seriously.

The years passed, and Landry was growing older. He had to make a run at something that had eluded him his entire career. The EWA Championship. In a match between himself, Lauri Henry, and Cyrus Leone, two veterans Landry respected tremendously, Mike successfully won the EWA World Championship, completing his Championship collection, and making him a Triple Crown Champion for the first time in his Hall of Fame career. The following night, Landry announced that not only was he the man behind the mask of former EWA Champion Duality, but that he would be retiring soon, and running the gauntlet in the process. He declared he would defend his Championship every single week, until he finally was defeated, at which point he promised to retire. Mike ran the gauntlet against the likes of Cartwright, Jed, AJ Warner, Brantley Summers, The Number Three, Major Devastation, Dion Necurat, and more. His final challenge was his greatest, and his best friend. Kelly King. In the single greatest match of his storied career, Landry was defeated in the first and only Battle of Respect match, and retired the following evening on television, and at the same time, proposed to his son's mother, Athena. It was that same night that their son Matthias debuted on television and is competing to this date.

Eh, its been so long since I updated this thing I KNEW id forget something, but by the looks of the title history page, you were champ, and then you won it again without losing it. Lol

Yeah but technically it was stripped from me and then I had to win it again, so wouldn't that make it two separate reins?

Thank you! I always made it a point to make sure every match and feud meant something.

And I haven't forgotten what Cartwright has done for Landry in his career. Wish our feud could have been longer.
