Don't you wanna go for a ride Down to the other side Feels so good you could cry Now won't you do what I told you!?
"Introducing his opponent from Denver, Colorado, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is The EEW Television Champion, The Hearbreaker, Mike Landry!"
Landry emerged from the curtain, undoubtably still upset about EEW Management refusing to answer his threats. Sure he still had his belt, but he thought by now he would also be the EEW Heavyweight champion or EEW Tag Team champion with his partner Bryan Bain. Not having the belt was as good as a loss in his mind.
I remember when you used to be shy Hey once we were so fine you and I Now why you gotta make it so hard on me!? Yeah it's hard on me... And i'm sorry but it's not a mistake And i'm running but you're getting away!
He walked down the ramp and into the ring rather quickly, not bothering with his theatrics or his pyro tonight for he was simply not in the mood. Instead he hopped up onto the apron in a single vertical leap and climbed inside the ropes, holding his title belt high for the hard camera with one hand, and making the Heartbreak signal across his chest with the other.
Eventually his music faded and he dropped his title, handing it to the ringside attendant and asked for a microphone. Like no one saw that comming.
"So...EEW Management has decided to play hardball. Last week, I gave them an ultimatum: either give me an EEW Heavyweight Championship or Tag Team Championship match, or I would sue them for everything they have!"
The fans boo'd Landry for making such a threat towards the company he's worked for and granted him so much success. Especially since EEW's style has never been one that settles things in court.
"So let me get this straight, I defeated Snypa Rifle in a Taipei Deathmatch. I forced him to retire from EEW forever. I not only turned three contenders for my EEW Television Championship against eachother, but also soundly defeated them. I overcame my very own tag team partner Matt Stone when he was turned against me by EEW Management. I've defeated the others champions even!"
The crowd boo'd and jeered at Landry's recapping of his career here in EEW for the ump-teenth time. Everyone was tired of any verbal communication comming out of Landry.
"And what does EEW Management do? Do they reward me? Do they move me up a level on the roster and grant me a secondary title opportunity like they would for anyone else? NO! INSTEAD, THEY SEND BRODY ROBINSON AFTER ME AND MY TITLE!"
Landry was turning red in the face in his blind rage, his anger and frustration had been building ever since his 'unfair treatment' has been noticed.
"Brody Robinson! A man who has STOLLEN wins from me in WWFG, has been an insessent thorn in my side ever since I first met him. EEW Management is well aware of my past with him, and now they are trying to use that to psychologically and physically torment me by making him my number one contender!"
The audience couldn't believe what Landry was resorting to to get out of a title match. Was there any excuse he wouldn't exploit?
"EEW Management! You have one final opportunity! If you do not respond to my demands by the end of this night, then I will press charges, I will take you to court, and I will take you for everything you have. So says the Heartbreaker, so shall it be!"

There was something of a calm as Landry finished his rant, where no fan made a noise, and no music played. It almost seemed as if Brody wasn't going to show at all. Until half the lights flashed blue and a certain song began to play.....
"Chip of the block? Seems that I'm not, As good as I thought or as bad as you want. The line has been drawn; What side are you on? Try to do it right but everything is wrong.
And so I stare at the dregs of the earth, Clear blue sky to the deepest of dirt. With hands stretched out lookin' pious and pure, To the ten padlocks strapped to your front door!" ((Well!))
With "Heroes and Villains" playing full blast through the sound system, Brody Robinson made his appearance on the stage, with a look on his face that didn't make it look like he was happy. He stopped on the ring and stared at Landry, trying to figure out what his problem was. Even without thinking about their history together, it was hard for him to even try to sympathize with Mike. Ignoring his usual fanfare, Brody started down the ramp, periodically reaching out to slap a few hands as he walked past without taking his eyes off the ring.
"Introducing the challenger! From Zanesville Ohio, weighing in at 265lbs, Brody Robinson!"
Brody stopped at the bottom of the ramp, once again looking up into the ring at Landry. He didn't care if he was being thrown at Landry as a pawn to stop him from suing. The fact that Landry was even considering suing for a title was a complete disgrace, and if he was the one who had to show him that, then so be it. Stepping forward, he rolled himself into the ring and pushed himself up to his feet, keeping his back against the ropes. He slowly made his way to a corner and rested his back against a turnbuckle, waiting for the match to begin.

Landry approached Brody the moment he stepped into the ring, only to be cut off by the referee. He pointed to Brody and shouted over his music, "I'll show you what happens to people who interfere with my business! You are nothing but a tool! A tool being manipulated by management!"

If this had been any other match, Brody would likely had made a joke about 'bringing the hammer down' or some other tool-related pun. But Landry was crossing the line. It didn't matter that he was being used by management. Landry was trying to disrupt the livelihoods of everyone in the back, and he wasn't going to let that happen.
Brody stayed in his corner, and didn't take his eyes off of Mike. He only had one thing to say to the ref as his music died down.
"Let 'im go. And ring the damn bell."

The bell rang and the ref had to let him go, and Landry wasted no time charging in to try a double leg takedown straight into Brody's corner.

Brody recoiled from Mike's charge and braced himself by wrapping his arms around the top ropes. He feet were lifted from under him, and his back was forced into the turnbuckle, but he didn't lose his grip. He didn't know what was going to happen to Landry, but at least he wasn't going down.

Landry tried to slam Brody down, but his grip wasn't going to break. So instead, Landry tried to bring his opponent down in a low blow disguised as an atomic drop by using a rising knee on the way down.

That did it. Brody's arms slipped from the sudden pain, and he sank down into the corner. His hands were still grabbed onto the top rope, but at this point he was only an inch above the mat.

Landry attempted to lift Brody up backinto the corner, trying to position both his legs ontop of the second rope.
*If successful* The referee sees what Landry is trying to do ((Thanks to Goldust)) and orders Landry not to do it. Landry calmly walks over to the referee and puts an arm around his shoulder, turning him around and talking to him like a collegue, "Hey man I know, that's messed up isn't it? Who would do such a thing?" Of course, he was lieing, and to distract him he slipped his shirt up over his head.
As soon as the referee's visoin was impaired Landry came running back, trying to field goal kick right between Brody's uprights.

Brody didn't make any noise as Landry's foot connected with his nether region, but his face twisted in pain as his hands slipped from the top rope and he fell down to the mat. He pulled his legs off the ropes and rolled onto his side, hands cupped over his family jewels.

The referee immediatly berated Landry for literally pulling the wool over his eyes, (or in this case cotton,) but there wasn't much he could do. Its EEW afterall.
Landry tried to pull Brody away from the ropes and hook a leg for a pin attempt.

1....!
Brody threw his shoulder up into the air as the ref's hand hit the mat for the two count. He couldn't feel anything below his waist at the moment, but he could still hear when a hand hits the mat.

Landry rolled off of Brody but held onto the left leg he used to hook for the pin, trying to lock in a knee bar on the ground.

Brody cringed a bit as Landry pulled on his leg, recoiling from the pressure put on his joints. He attempted to get free by forcing himself forward and striking at Landry's legs while leaning back every few seconds to get rid of some of the pressure.
