[RP Event] Rinaul Mountains-- SIGN UP! Sign ups close Jan 13 @ 11:59PM EST

Rumors of a legendary pokemon residing somewhere in Zatao has surrounded the city of Katarina for weeks, now even spreading as far as Motterossa. Many have claimed to have heard its angry cries coming from the direction of the Rinaul Mountains. What was this legendary pokemon doing in Zatao, and why was it angry?
There were further rumors that many trainers were seeking the legendary for various reasons-- capture, power, profit, and fame. Amongst those were no doubt Team Rocket. Others were determined to find the legendary before those who would use it for personal gain do. Whatever the reason is, there could only be one who can tame the beast, if it even exists.

As you lied awake one particularly bitter wintery night, tossing and turning, you heard it yourself-- the shrill cry of a pokemon. It was barely audible against the howling of the wind. Even so, you were sure it was a pokemon and not your imaginartion. It was one you have never heard before, and it echoes through your mind.
Its voice penetrated every thought you had, and you couldn't shake the feeling that it wanted you to find it. The chance to capture-- to even SEE-- this legendary pokemon was too great of an opportunity for you to pass down. Whatever your own reasons for getting up in the middle of the night, packing your warmest winter clothing, and taking your strongest pokemon with you, you were on your way to Rinaul Mountains.
You seemed to have misplaced the idea that this would be an incredibly dangerous adventure somewhere in the back of your mind, as you walked towards the peaks with not much but a backpack and your pokemon with you.

____________R U L E S
● Do not delete posts for any reason during the event. You may only edit posts for RP.
● You must have signed up in order to participate in the event.
● If you sign up, please make sure that you will be active in the upcoming week!
● You may only sign up with and play one character for this event. You do not need a journal to enter your character.
● You may bring one Pokemon with you.
● If you don't have any Pokemon, you may borrow one. If you are a Rocket, you may borrow a meowth or gastly from Headquarters. If you are not a Rocket, you may borrow a stray glameow or duskull.
● Pokemon that are won from the event will be too tired to battle, and you must keep them in the pokeball!
● You will have a chance to win pokemon during the event, and consolation prizes will be given out after the event to those who have participated a good amount, but didn't win anything.
● Prizes won during the event may be traded, or gifted to someone else who was active in the event.
● Consolation prizes cannot be gifted, sorry.
● Ask any questions in the main thread.
____________E V E N T . I N F O
● This is an open Rocket event. Existing Rockets and new Rockets are encouraged to enter.
● Even if YOU know that a certain character is a Rocket, your character does not! In many instances, TR will have on disguises. Do not put in more than your character knows during RP.
● There will be missions for both sides-- TR and non-Rockets, and chances for both sides to earn points for their side by doing missions, and RPing.
● The winning side will determine the direction of future RP events.
____________P R I Z E S
● The side that accumulates the most points at the end of the event will be the winners.
● The winning side will have a chance at the legendary pokemon.
● They will also be able to choose from the opposing team's consolation pogey prize list. TR will "steal" the pokemon, and non-Rockets will "save" the pokemon from TR. Regardless of which pokemon you choose, you will still only get one consolation pokemon prize.
● There is a minimum required amount of posts and activity that will be determined at the end of the event to qualify for a consolation pokemon.
● If you win lots of points for your side, you will be eligible to upgrade your consolation prize to an uncommon pokemon! TR is offering a vulpix, and for non-rockets, there seems to be a sandshrew lurking somewhere in the mountains.
● Rocket characters will be introduced to our new rank system! YAY!
