Stormy is known best as a girl with her mind in the clouds and in possession of a strange train of thought that can have little to do with the situation or conversation at hand. While her socializing skills are a little rough in that she often fails to notice or acknowledge cues a normal person would know (such as door-holding courtesies when there are other people behind), she makes up for it somewhat through her ability to intensely concentrate on what she sets her mind to, regardless of the probability of success; if anything, the impossible or improbable attracts her.
Stormy suffers from a mild form of dysthymia, though it’s gone undiagnosed; as far as she’s concerned, however, her low moods and natural penchant for being pessimistic is just as much a part of her as her arm is a part of her body. It doesn’t mean she’s incapable of being happy, but rather that what pleasure she does derive is often low-key and hard to obtain. Thus she lives pursuing knowledge both relevant and random rather than happiness since it’s so much easier to obtain. On one hand, the condition has molded Stormy into a diligent listener and dispenser of truthiness (being both chillax but unable to see the point of giving even white lies), and it lends to her a quiet, if not demure, air of serenity. On the other, it leaves the Hunter susceptible to melancholia, bouts of low self esteem, and emotional fatigue, and often she can’t handle loud people for long exposures unless they’re on a mission – at least then it gives her something else to focus on rather than stand idly about, feeling like a third wheel.
In spite of this and her slow willingness to trust people, once it’s earned it’s earned in full. Like a child, Stormy is clingy to those she considers close friends and almost catlike in how she invades personal space to touch arms, brush hands, or use shoulders as a place to rest her head and nap, yet when touched too much herself she retreats back; it’s something of a control issue.

Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?
Stormy had been relatively normal up until her family moved into an old rumored-to-be-haunted house. After having bouts of paranoid periods and increasingly down moods there over the years, Stormy's father allowed her to stay in a hospital to continue treatment of her depression, as it was beginning to affect her school work and social life. While in therapy, Stormy continued to feel dogged by what felt like spirits that fed off her darker moods, flickers of shadows where she didn't look, and sometimes even the unbeatable sensation of being watched, and she began to spiral in a helpless dive emotionally. The psychiatrist was concerned by these episodes, as was her father, though neither were sure of how to help since it seemed the medicine was not working. By the time she was approached by a Hunter to join the cause, Stormy was ready to either kill herself or fight back - the knowledge that there were others like her helped cement the decision towards the latter.

Thane remains as aggressive as he did before he was weaponized, always plotting towards some new end to further him and his Hunter and uncaring who gets caught in the crossfire. Darkly intelligent and self-serving, he makes no room for compromises and believes the ends justify the means - and the ends usually means seizing more power, be it through having his Hunter establish contacts, rising in the Hunter ranks, or looking into certain artifacts. Though his roots were set in a turbulent and often violent environment, Thane prides himself on his decorum, intelligence, and an ambition that served it well during its life as a student. He believes himself to be above everyone else in a subtle, almost noble-like way, and often tries to deconstruct others to their base, often negative elements. All things are pawns, perhaps knights or bishops if they try very hard - but there is only one king, and he is content to let his hunter play the queen for now.
Risks? Dangers? A chance to fail? Thane thrives on the adrenaline rush once his eye is set upon something. His overly critical nature is something the dracolich uses to gain control, as he wants nothing but perfection and believes that it is, in fact, achievable if one is strong enough to pursue it.
Thane's relationship with Stormy is a strange one, for they enact both passive and aggressive forces that become turbulent at times. He is curious to see what lies inside her airhead of a cranium, however, and in the interest of self-preservation will try not to get her killed before he figures out what makes his owner tick; her supposed innocence is something he naturally likes to corrupt after all. If there is a way to mold Stormy into a hardier, more bloodthirsty Hunter, he will find it.

Room #177 was spartan before Stormy's arrival and has since been completely redecorated into something more cheerful. The walls have been painted a soft pink with the original white staying as a trim at the top and bottom, given a new layer so as to pop out rather than fade. On the outside, the door is plastered with various snippets of poems and quotes (as of 5/01/14, it is this); on the inside, the door has a noticeable horizontal notch near the top as if someone had stabbed it. It also smells faintly of mustard for some reason. The room normally has a tinge of something sweet like vanilla in the air. Recently, however, smoke can also be detected. Inside, it seems more like a college dorm than that of a paramilitary soldier's, given that she's put a lot more color and personality into it despite instructions to the contrary. There are various floral wall decals stuck to the walls, sometimes accompanied by little bird motifs. There is a sign on the wall directly opposite the door, greeting all who come in. Directly beneath it lies a two-column dresser which hosts all sort of personal effects, a sprawled makeup bag, half-done mission reports, actually completed notes, private journals, and bits and baubles. The mirror is completely split. On Stormy's side, it is clear. On the other side, various photos of her with friends or her boyfriend hang. A half-hearted attempt to cover it with a snowflake designed blanket remains draped over the majority of them. In every photo, she is always smiling brightly. Shoved in a corner is a small converted fridge, filled with granola bars, fruit, water bottles, the occasional soda, pizza slices, pudding, and candy bars. The door is covered in magnets of various Disney characters, one of Jack Skellington's grinning face, and many individual letters. As of 4/12/14, some spell out "LIVE LAUGH LOVE" and "LA VIDA ES SUENYO", presumably because she couldn't get an N with a tilde over it. The inside of her closet seems to have a split personality, with half being multi-layered, girlish outfits (mori-kei being her clear fashion inspiration), while the other was a hodgepodge of clothes for the winter and summer that seem bland in comparison, with little bits of Disney sprinkled within: inspirational stickers of Disney Princesses being the most commonly seen. Amidst various shoes, sandals, and boots, her pair of Eeyore slippers stand out. The rest of the lower space has been given to books, everything from the usual school-centric works (Shakespeare, Harry Potter, and a large compilation of poetry being most prominent) to a gilded-edged version of Grimms' Fairy Tales. Having shared with Nevada before her death, a little under half of the room remains untouched. A second bed has been scooched into the corner, its sheets done and its pillows arranged perfectly. The only evidence it has been used at all is the fact that Nevada's secret stash of fruity alcohol, which Stormy avails herself of on choice occasions, is no longer where her former roommate hid it, but rather stashed in Gale's guest room.

combat style
Defense-oriented for the most part, Stormy prefers the pacifist's route to any situation and would rather talk things through than initiate anything violent. Training has allowed her to become used to compensating for its momentum, though it still works against her in narrow spaces as the greatsword requires room to maneuver for proper use, or against weapons with more maneuverability. While typically an offensive weapon, Stormy prefers to use her weapon as a pseudo shield whenever possible, using its broadside to cover herself or others in battle. The hooked teeth protruding out one side allow her to parry bladed weapons like some traditional greatswords have.
In spite of her weapon's size and weight, however, she is quite fast on her feet. Taking personal training lessons in shadowing others and breaking in, Stormy has become more nimble than most and prides herself on being able to move without making a sound. She pursues a Death specialization for her Mist training as part of this regimen, collecting randmon bits of data on people in preparation for the day she can put her own specialist proposal out.
