Student Clubs:

While no longer required, it is strongly encouraged for all students of Amityville to participate in extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged to team up with their peers to form a student-run club based around their common interests.

Student Clubs are for students of Amityville, and as such can only be created and run by students. However, that does not prevent Sponsers from assisting with clubs. Sponsers are members of Halloween, from Graduates to Professors to even interested Horsemen who wish to assist with club activities. While Sponsors do not count as members, they can still participate in club activities. In addition, sponsors can donate their time and money* to further the education of various clubs.

Any Amityville student can create, propose, and potentially receive approval for their own club. Clubs can focus on nearly any subject, idea, notion, or common ground. There are only a few rules in regards to clubs that must be followed:

• In order for a club to be sanctioned, it must have at least four members, and four signatures on its application form (found further down the page).
  
  
• Club battles are officially sanctioned so long as it is within an authorized area and follows the core rules of battling. You can find information on this subject here.
  
  
• Every club must have an official meeting room. This room takes the form of a thread in this subforum. Not all club RP must take place in this thread, but it should contain all club rules and policies, and all RP threads should be linked to it and in it.
  
  
• Be aware that you cannot claim a club idea. We allow multiple clubs with the same idea. If people want to form six 'tap dancing mummy' clubs, and can find the members for them, have at. They can fight over their membership.
  
  
• Again, Amityville Graduates, Professors, and Horsemen are not considered club members and as such their signatures will not count towards the forming of a club. A club may have as many sponsors as they wish.
  

*Note: Amityville Academy would like to take a moment to let sponsors know that should a club request funding, they in turn can request the club they are sponsoring to, "Put together a fundraiser and run it."

Club Mini Application

To promote club activity, Amityville is proud to announce the arrival of CLUB MINIS! Every active Student Club in Amityville now has the unique opportunity to receive and create their very own club minipet using one of our many Club Minipet bases. While this Minipet can be seen as a semi-custom "Special Edition" minipet, it will be expected that these minipets are used in relation to or for promoting activity within the clubs they were created for. It will be up to the club leader to decide whether only members receive the minipet, members must earn then, or if said minipet will be used as a prize for any club-related activity.

Currently, there are three different types of minipets available to clubs:

These bases are semi-custom: the lines have been already done for you. All that is left is for YOU, the club, to decide on colors and a name for it! You may recall seeing something similar during the Horseman trials in regards to the Team Minis.

At this time, every club has the opportunity to receive one Club Minipet. In order to do so, you must fulfill the following criteria:

1. You must have a club.
   
2. You must have a club emblem.
   
3. Your club must have completed three club-related RPs at some point. These RPs can range from recruiting, forming, to partaking in club activities. The main "meat" of the RP must be related to the club! If you just mention it then it won't count, sorry! Solos also do not count.
   
4. Your club must be active. Within the same month you fulfil the request for a club mini, you must start and complete a club RP! This RP does NOT count as part of the previous requirement!
   

As each base is highly customizable, there are simply too many variations to show off here. Please check back often! New bases will be added often, along with opportunities to earn additional minipets for your club!

There will be opportunities to earn more; the above criteria is just for the basic "first" one. If your club fulfills the criteria to earn another, you will be contacted!

Scyerline

Gerty the Gnome was one of the few that actually liked cleaning. While roughly 98% of the gnome population at Amityville Academy was disgruntled, Gerty had a reason to be pleased: Gerty got to clean up after Movie Club. Any leftover or dropped sweets and treats was immediately claimed by the gnome and used to build an underground powerbase. While Gerty might not clean up after the Movie Club anymore, members of Gerty's syndicate are present at every MC meeting, watching and lurking until the students leave before moving in. Sometimes a desperate gnome darts in and tries to acquire some of these illicit goods. But you know what? The first rule about cleaning up after Movie Club is that you don't talk about cleaning up after Movie Club.

It's all very open, and members who suggest activities will have the club's support all the way! Think of it as SPIRIT WEEK FOREVER. 8T
