My friend had a guild that he created a while ago, the sad part is that it's not popular and he was wondering if it was the topic of the guild. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys would do the poll, so I can help him decide which one to do. Also I would love it if you would comment saying why you picked your option! No paragraphs needed just a simple sentence,Thanks! smile

I selected "A Harry Potter Guild [Yaoi/Straight]" because I have been looking all over the place for a Harry Potter roleplay and have never found a good one. So I would love to do one!

I was gonna select regular school guild, but put down anime instead. A lot of things related to both flew through my head, and sort of influenced my decision.
Guys I really need help with this, please keep voting smile

I selected "An everything guild" because you can do whatever you want with it instead of dedicating it to one thing. Not exactly like this one, but perhaps your friend could make a sort of "everything roleplay guild." So you could have all the options above put into subforums with the roleplaying and profiles as separate threads. I hope I worded all of this right...
I chose none of the above because I feel like it's better to join something that's already active, help improve it and learn what goes into running a successful guild than to start an entirely new one. Have you had any experience as a crew member or vice captain of a guild before? If so, how big was it and how active was it? What were you expected to do?
I say this because I'm the Captain of two guilds, a VC in two more, and a crew member here in BURN. A lot of work is needed to keep a guild up and active, and most of it is done by the Captain and Vice Captain. If the guild exec staff doesn't put their heart into running a guild, its members lose interest and move on to something else.
Also, if you're set on starting a guild no matter what, I recommend buying one from someone and cleaning it out rather than starting one brand new. You're more likely to get something with subforums and gold in the guild account already for a lot cheaper than what it would cost to start completely new. If you want subforums, you have to add 2.5k for each one you want on top of the start-up fee for a brand new guild, whereas I've seen someone sell a guild with six subforums for 10k that had a member base. It takes some work, deleting all the old threads, demoting old crew, and setting up everything you want in its place, but that's part of what goes into making a successful guild.
Tl;Dr? -Don't get a guild unless you're going to put in the effort to run it -If you get a guild, buy one from somebody selling their old one instead of making a brand new one because it's usually a better deal.
