[Ability Concentration]βπͺπͺπͺ Absorption Magic. β¨ Much like a droplet of water rebounding from an impact, he will have the ability to absorb magical attacks cast upon him and use that power either offensively or defensively. He'll only be as powerful as the attack cast upon him. This is his strength. His weakness is physical attacks. Although he can absorb magic, he fails at hand to hand combat. [Quirks]βπͺπͺπͺ Although he's a mononoke, and a fish, he doesn't know how to swim in his human form. If he ever finds himself in a situation where he needs to swim, he simply transforms. Though, who needs to swim when you can just walk under water? The gills help with the whole needing to breathe thing.

βEasygoing β¨ Satoshi is pretty laid back when it comes to studying and hanging out. When you're not afraid of anything it's difficult to be stressed out. He learned at a young age to relax, otherwise he never would have survived in a house with 7 siblings.
βLevelheaded β¨ Even though he likes to push the buttons of his siblings, he keeps himself in check when it comes to other people. He has a good mind about it and knows when to pick his fights... However, sometimes he'll ignore that inner voice if someone infuriates him.

 Born to a large family, he was often over looked when it came to matters of the magical kind. His seven siblings were all gifted in their chosen elements. But when it came to showing his stuff, Satoshi often came up empty handed. He couldn't conjure fire, manipulate water, cast illusions nor enchant the simplest of hearts. It wasn't until a sibling rivalry occurred that the family understood where his talent lied. His brother, in a fit of rage, threw a spell at Satoshi intent to shock him. While defending himself, Satoshi managed to not only fizzle the spell but returned it with vigor!
Unsure of how to train their son, his parents shipped him off to the academy where he could learn to hone his skills from the professionals, just as his siblings had. However, learning wasn't the only reason his parents shipped him off. Satoshi would often egg his siblings on, using that mouth of his to get in some trouble. Unable to take the constant bickering, his parents were more than relieved to send one head ache away to school... but they wouldn't tell Satoshi that.
Knowing what his strength is, Satoshi is ready to take on new challenges at school. He's not afraid of anyone as he assumes their magic is practically useless against him... well, at least the other witchlings. He's arrogant when it comes to his magic and believes he's above the other witchlings in his class. None of them can best him in a match! (Fffffft I'll iron this out more later. But you get the gist of it!)

[Focus]βπͺπͺπͺ Absorption/Reflection Magic. He has a natural gift towards absorbing magical attacks cast upon him. He can either diminish the spell completely or reflect it at his attacker. Satoshi is only as strong as the spell cast upon him. He of course has his limits, but most basic spells will be absorbed or deflected. This ability, however a strong defense against magic, leaves him quite vulnerable to physical attacks.
..........β¨ Because he's still unsure of how his gift works, most of his magic is cast with a Somatic component rather than a verbal command. For example, he will absorb a magic attack by bracing his forearms together chest height with his fists clenched facing towards him.
[Notable Skills]βπͺπͺπͺ
β Spell Absorption β¨ Satoshi is able to absorb many forms of magical spells cast upon him. He's unsure how this works but uses it to his advantage. He can easily take in magical energy thrown at him and either reflect it or cancel it. It's a strong defense only as powerful as the spell cast upon him. However he is severely at a disadvantage when it comes to physical damage.
β Shape Shifting β¨ Being a mononoke, it's easy for him to shift his form into that of a koi fish. He's limited to where he can go unfortunately and will often be found within a kiddie pool he keeps in his dorm room.
β This school is focused on protective spells, as well as spells which cancel or interfere with other spells, magical effects or supernatural abilities.
..........β¨ I don't even have to try to pass this class. I got one of those "natural gifts" or something. Either way, my teacher is quite impressed with my skill level in absorbing magic to either diminish spells or reflect them. At least I can say I'm a B student, although it's only one B.

Charm spells, such as Charm Person or Symbol of Persuasion, affect the targets' attitudes, usually making them act more favorably toward the caster. Compulsion spells such as Confusion, Suggestion or Zone of Truth, can force the targets' to act in a certain way or avoid certain actions, affect the targets' emotions or affect the targets' minds in other ways.

β Illusion is divided into five subschools: figment, glamer, pattern, phantasm and shadow. Figment spells create artificial sensations with no physical substance. Glamer spells alter the target's sensory properties, and can cause invisibility. Pattern spells create insubstantial images which affect the minds of the viewers, pattern spells can inflict harm. Phantasm spells create hallucinations which can be harmful. Shadow spells use magical shadows to create things with physical substance.
