Saphiros was sitting at one of the tables in the classroom, head resting on his hand, doing his best to listen to what the teacher was saying but he couldn't say that they were being taught about the most rousing of subjects. Sure, he knew that it could be useful if one had a mind for it, but he didn't. He just found Alchemy a little... dull. Lifting a hand up to smother a yawn he found his eyes flickering over toward the window in the classroom, one that had sunlight streaming through it, and had him yearning to be outside. It was nice and warm out there which a lot of people would be out and about, having lots of being around meant that he would have a lot of people to get free food off of so long as he trotted around in his other form. Just the thought of the heading to town and making new friends had his tail swishing behind him. That was where he wanted to be, not here. The lizard mononoke's day dreams were interrupted though when he heard his name being called out and he glanced from the window over to the teacher, "Sorry, what?" He asked, realizing that he'd missed something and his confusion was followed by some laughter of the other students. Oops, apparently he was needed for something. A moment later he realized what it was, they were being partnered up at random to work on a project. Apparently they needed to find a simple potion recipe, obtain the ingredients for it, and be ready for the two of them to brew it up the next time they came to class. He looked around the class at those that were already partnered up, and found himself hoping against hope that he would get partnered up with someone that knew the subject better then him, someone that was enthusiastic when it came to homework, and someone that didn't expect him to carry a lot of the weight. A alchemy nerd would be preferable... and as his partner's name was announced he found himself wondering exactly how random it was. Putting a mononoke together with another mononoke, huh? Well that was... well actually not too bad, he wanted to make friends with more like himself and he had to admit that this guy was pretty neat looking. Check out those ears! Or were those fins? Eh, either way they looked pretty cool and a part of him wanted to reach out and poke them. His partner was pretty cute too he thought to himself, not the hottest guy he'd hung out with of late that title went to the druid, Bane, but certainly the best of the Witchlings for sure. He would certainly enjoy this even if he wasn't the biggest fan of this particular class, " So, did I get lucky and get partnered up with the best alchemist in class?" He asked with a bit of a grin, sharp teeth gleaming as he asked the question. One could hope, right? If not he supposed they could either work their hardest or do what Saphi always did when it came to homework, that being putting it off as long as humanly possible.

Although Satoshi was staring at the professor as he taught, Satoshi's mind was far from the lecture on alchemy. He hated this subject the most. It was his worst skill and he had no desire to improve what seemed like a lost cause. So instead, his mind started to wonder...
'Damn... I'm starving. Cant this dude hurry up so I can go to lunch? It's tater tot day for crying out loud... s**t. Did he just mention a weekend project? This sucks! I hope I get paired with that hot chick in the corner. Bet I could make her blush...' While sitting there listening for his name, he glanced over to his classmate of desire. She was a meek looking girl and all he had to do was smile at her to get that rosy color upon her cheeks. 'Score.' But that smile upon his face vanished when his name was paired off with Saphiros. Tch, just his luck. Hopefully he'd get the hot chick next time.
When the class was finally dismissed he looked at Saphiros who approached him first. He listened to the other boy, unable to stop the laughter that erupted from him. It took a moment to stifle that laughter before he was able to reply to his new blue-ish friend. "If by best you mean the best at failing... then yes. But if you're looking to actually pass this assignment, you've got the wrong partner. I honestly was hopping I would have gotten the brunette in the corner. I think she's got a crush on me and I could have flirted my way to an A. But since I got you..." he grinned at Saphiros, patting the boy on the back. "And your first question leads me to believe you suck as much as I do, let's just put it off to the last minute and fail with dignity."
Grabbing his book bag from his desk, he slung it over his shoulder with a grunt. So many books... It was brutal how many classes he had to take to even catch up to the other witchlings. At least that's what he was told. He sucked at every subject the school had to offer. He was certainly going to turn into the school's worst student. He couldn't even conjure the beginner spells, create anything digestible in alchemy and forget charms or wards. He should have just stayed home...
Letting out a long drawn out sigh, he glanced at Saphiros with his copper eyes. "I don't know about you, but I'm starving. We can talk things over at lunch. I want to get some tater tots before they're all gone." He explained, starting for the doors. Hopefully they'd still be able to beat the rush to the school cafeteria. ✖

When the other mononoke informed him that he was the best at failing his tail gave a little twitch, "Eh?" So he wasn't going to be helping him to pass the assignment given to them with flying colors, "Well that's a shame." He murmured, lifting a hand up to scratch it against the back of his head, "I suppose that means I might actually put some sort of effort into this." That wasn't any fun at all, he hated the idea that his weekend, something that was free time that was supposed to be well spent, was now going to be wasted on homework that involved alchemy of all things... No, that wasn't how it was supposed to go! He wanted to go out and play, maybe go to town where there was always plenty of free food, or better yet back to the forest so that he could make the attempt at finding his woodland friend against since the man had good food to share. Anything but homework his mind cried. A moment later he was saved from his moment of hysteria as the other mononoke was suddenly telling him that they should put it off to the last minute and fail with dignity. "Heh, that sounds like a good idea to me... I prefer to try to squeak by with as little effort as possible." He said, tail swishing behind him. So he didn't have to try too hard it would seem, this one didn't even care if they failed, how great was that? While he wanted to consider just doing as the fish suggested, just allowing himself to fail with dignity, he knew that his parents would hear about that and be quite displeased. Even as far away as Lumena he was still afraid of the disappointed looks that he was most certain that they would be making in his direction, "Best that we put at least a minimal bit of effort in though, better to look like we tried or else we might be forced to come in after class..." That was a horrifying though. Being brought in for remedial classes, one on one with the teacher, when they should be enjoying their freedom, it wasn't a punishment he was willing to experience if he could save himself from it. Surely there had to be some super simple recipe that they could find in their books to use? Something that didn't involve a lot of time, effort, or dedication since Saphiros wasn't interested in Alchemy, not really, and his partner said that he he was 'best at failing'. Worry over the project was promptly forgotten at the mention of lunch, "Ohhh, lunch! My favorite part of the day!" He said, tail wagging once more as he grabbed up his bag and moved to fall into step with his lab partner. Oft times his stomach led the rest of him so it was all too easy for the lizard mononoke to completely forget about what he'd been worrying about moments before in the light of something as wonderful as lunch time! Nothing to worry about but eating, "Best we hurry so that they don't run out of your tots." He said, putting a bit more speed into his steps so they could get to their destination quickly.

"Don't get me wrong, Saphiros. We'll put some effort in. I just don't expect to pass with my streak of talent. Me and alchemy don't really get along, you see. So I was hoping to fall back on my partner, just as much as you were." He explained, grinning a bit as he looked at the blueish boy.
"Let's aim for a D. That's probably the best I can do." He said to his partner, walking with him down the hall. He could already smell the tater tots in the air and his stomach started to growl. Yes... He did love those little balls of potato. He could almost taste them already!
When they entered the lunchroom he moved to get in line, sliding his tray down the metal rail. It was a large lunchroom and for the most part full with students. He already began to scan for a place to sit while they moved forward for food. But when he was in front of the tater tots, he looked down right disappointed. "Gone." he groaned, the tray of tater tots completely empty, not even a crumb left behind. But as he reached for the French fries, which were a poor substitute for tater tots, the kitchen doors opened. A fresh batch was delivered and Satoshi almost drooled! Grabbing half of the tray, he grinned ear to ear as he moved on down the line for several cups of ketchup and six bottles of water. Yea, a few kids glared at him for having so much but that was their loss, he just made out like a bandit!
Once paid, Satoshi lead the way to a table where the end was vacant for the two of them. He sat to one side, leaving the other for Saphiros and he sighed. "While we eat, we can scan the novice potions and see what looks the easiest to make. He never said we had to do anything challenging, right?" He grinned at his statement, shoving a few tater tots into his mouth as he shrugged off his book bag. His alchemy book was brought out and dropped onto the table with a small thud. The damn thing was huge. Flipping a few pages in, he started to skim the list of the novice potions. "Let's see.... Invisibility? Really? How is that novice? Water breathing... well I already breathe under water so I don't care about that one. What about a weak paralysis poison? Or one of these resist of magic types? Honestly, even though it's listed under novice it all seems hard to me." Satoshi groaned a bit, turning the book so Saphi could skim the words upon the page.

One would think, given his love of food, that Saphiros might be better at alchemy since it was something somewhat similar to cooking and yet he just didn't get it... likely because at the end of making a potion someone didn't end up with some sort of tasty treat. Instead you had a potion that, nine times out of ten, tasted rather bitter. At least when he made them, "Aim for a 'D', huh? Sounds good by me." It was still considered a passing grade even if it was on the low end of the spectrum of passing. It would at least keep him from failing and ending up with a visit from one or both of his parents, something that would be so terribly embarrassing, "It's at least passing technically so I can live with a D."As they headed into the lunch room he felt that normal desire that he felt when smelling food, the desire to go and mooch off anyone that would share with him... it was a feeling he shoved aside for now. He could buy his own lunch for today given that he and his partner needed to discuss what they were going to do for their project. That would be something impossible to do if he was off cuddling up to people and wagging his tail for free food. Forcing himself to actually go and get his own tray he set about filling it with what looked good to him, that being a pile of fruit, some bread, a small amount of meat, and a couple of those little cartons of chocolate milk. With his tray filled, not not nearly as heavily as Satoshi's tray seemed to be, he followed after him so that they could sit down at a table, "This is so different from how I normally spend lunch. I should try this more often." He murmured to himself, looking at his tray of food. Not a bad thing, for sure, but not nearly as socially heavy as he was used to, a lot less hugs too. Popping open one of the things of milk he drank from it as Satoshi explained that they would scan the notice potions while eating, see what was the easiest, "Sounds like a plan." He said between sips. Alright, so a simple potion, if they found one easy enough they might be able to drag their D up to a C and actually look as if they made an effort he thought to himself, tail swishing behind him. The massive book was dropped onto the table between them with a 'thud' that caused him to jump a little before giving a bit of a grin, geez that book seemed to look even more intimidating now that they'd been saddled with an assignment, didn't it? Leaning over he scanned the pages as Satoshi commented on them, perking up at mention of the water breathing potion that he didn't care about, "You already breath under water? That is so cool!" He said, sounding more then a little impressed, but then again how could he not be impressed? His partner could breath under water! How he wished he could do that! The fact that he could if he made the potion completely lost on him. As some were suggested for them to try he starred at the book, sticking his tongue out at it, "Bleh, yeah. They do seem complicated for being recommended for novice potion makers. How about... we just scan for the one with the shortest list of ingredients?" Instead of caring about what it did the one with the least amount of ingredients would surely give them less a chance of accidentally turning it into something deadly, right?

"You, my friend, are a genius." He said to Saphiros when the boy mentioned making the potion with the least amount of ingredients. It was brilliant! The smaller the list, the less work they had to do. So his eyes quickly started to scan the page as his finger ran down the printed list. After a few pages, and multiple tater tots stuffed into his mouth by his free hand, Satoshi tapped the book with his finger. "This one here. Two ingredients. I don't see anything with a shorter list." Although it had two, he never read what they were until he spoke them out loud. "Crushed flax and a milled horse hoof." He paused. Where the hell were they going to get that?! Maybe if he had paid more attention in class he would have known there was a store that sold alchemy ingredients. In his mind they had to hunt down the items for their project.
"Okay, new plan! We're just going to do whatever the book has as the first potion. The first one can't be that hard; it's first on the list! Plus I think it was used as the demonstration in the book so we can just follow step by step. We can't screw that up... right?" He looked at Saphi, wanting some sort of agreement. Already this project was starting to feel like a nightmare.
Flipping the pages back to the front, he pointed at the first potion on the list. "It's a potion to boost your energy. Four ingredients, so we can go round up two each. One butterfly wing, three fish scales, a drop of honey and one maple leaf. This doesn't seem too hard... better than flax and a horse hoof." Satoshi said as he grinned at the page. Hell when he needed too he'd just rip three scales off his arm. "Already got the fish scales, so we can just round up the other three after lunch. How's that sound? I think the hardest one is going to be the butterfly wing."

Saphiros gave a toothy grin when he was told that he was a genius, more then happy to go along with that even if he knew that it wasn't true. At least not where alchemy was concerned. Happily feasting on the pile of fruit on his plate he watched as Satoshi scanned the book, looking for one with the shortest list of ingredients, "Two? That sounds promising." He commented, all for a potion that only had two ingredients, that was until he heard what they word. He had no idea what a flax was, or how hard it was to crush it, and the idea of a milled horse hoof caused him to go a little pale, "Ew! I don't want to have to find a horse and take its foot..." He said, sounding more then a little distraught over the idea that a potion caused for such a horrific ingredient. There was no way he would make that potion, ever! He'd prefer to fail instead. It wasn't that he had horses, wanted horses, or really knew all the much about them but what he did know was that a lot of alchemy potions tended to ask of bits of animals. As a mononoke he felt strongly against the use of such ingredients, especially given he'd seen a potion once that called for a lizard tail. If he thought that argument would hold up as a reason to not take this particular class he might attempt using it. "Your plan sounds good." He said, hoping that the new list of ingredients wasn't going to ask for some sort of morbid ingredient of any sort. He couldn't help but to feel a little hope rising in his chest when he was told that it was the first one on the list and was used in the book as a demonstration. Surely if it were in the book step by step they would be able to do that easily enough? He sure hoped so, "Yeah, if it's step by step surely it will be the same as reading out of a cook book.""A potion to boost energy? That sounds like fun." And like something that he really didn't need seeing he had a ton of energy to spare most days but they just had to make it, not drink it. Leaning over a little closer to the book he waited, breath held, as he listed off the ingredients and gave a sighing sound of relief when nothing really horrid stood out on the list. Really the worst thing there was a butterfly wing and that wasn't so bad. He was guilty of eating the occasional insect while in his other form just due to the instincts that overrode his mind making him want to chase such things, "I could get the butterfly." He offered, more then certain that in his other form that he could chase one down. He'd just have to remember that he needed the wings and be careful not to damage those while eating the rest which he was bound to do, "So that just leaves honey and maple leaves which had to be easy enough to find, right? We just have to find the right tree and honey we could just buy... well that or poke around a bee hive but I'd rather not." Those bugs were rather mean and unforgiving to those that tried to steal the honey. "Alright, after lunch then we will wrangle the rest of the ingredients." There was a chance of them getting this done in no time flat which meant that they wouldn't have to waste their weekend! What a glorious thought since he wouldn't have bothered until the very last moment anyway. He'd been told often by his parents that if he got it done ahead of time that he wouldn't have to worry about it later, something that seemed to hold true this time.

Satoshi listened to Saphiros as he spoke, nodding his head to the keynotes. "Alright, you're on butterfly duty. We only need one wing according to the ingredients, but it's probably a good idea to keep both. We might ******** up... so I was thinking we do a trial run together first before we do the demonstration in class." He muttered, closing the book for the time being. They really didn't need it anymore since the potion was decided on and the ingredients were easy enough to remember. "You got time this afternoon for a trial run? Or should we do it tomorrow?"
As he waited for Saphiros's answer, he began to chain dunk tator tots into the ketchup before inhaling them. He was either really hungry or really loved tator tots. But while he listened to Saphiros his eyes glanced away to the lunch counter. He seemed to pause in eating, holding a hand up for Saphiros to wait a moment. "They serve breakfast here too, don't they?" He was pretty sure they did. "Excuse me one minute, hold any thoughts." He stood abruptly to leave the table and headed straight for the lunch line. He skipped the entire line to talk to the woman behind the counter. They seemed to banter back and forth before she fixed him with a skeptical glance. However, she disappeared from sight long enough to grab something from the coolers below. Small white packets were passed to the koi mononoke and with a quick thanks, he turned back for the table.
Upon returning, he dropped several packets of honey onto the table with a grin. "Bam. Free honey. Am I good or what?" He asked, sitting once more to eat his lunch. "So... where were we? Oh yea! If we're both free this afternoon we can do the run through of the potion. You wanna do it in my dorm room or yours? I'm cool with either. But if we want to nail this assignment and impress or prof, then we should really do a trial run."
"So that just leaves the butterfly wings to you. I'll look up what a maple leaf looks like and go snag a few off a tree. We can meet back at the dorm room. How's that sound?"

Butterfly duty? Saphi liked the sound of that, it sounded a lot better then him chasing down a butterfly or two with the intent to steal their wings and maybe end up eating the middle part, "I will do my best to bring back at least two perfect wings." It was likely a good idea that they had extra ingredients, it was as Satoshi said they might very well mess this up and it would be a shame if they did so and it ended up to late to find butterflies for another attempt... and who knew what might happen if they used moth wings instead of butterfly wings. Magic could be a rather precise science that kicked up in the backside if you tried to cut corners or substitute one component for another. When asked if he had time this afternoon for a trial the lizard mononoke cocked his head to one side, looking thoughtful, "I should be able to do it this afternoon. I have no definite plans." Other then the usual mooching but that could be put on hold so they could try to pass this class with their goal of a D. Perhaps trying out the potion ahead of time would kick them up into the C range, wouldn't that be nice? The lizard was midway to taking another bite of his fruit when Satoshi was suddenly asking if they served breakfast here, "I am pretty sure they do." He said, watching as the fish was suddenly rushing off to cut ahead in line, "Eh?" He wondered what the other mononoke was up to... tail swishing behind him the reptile waited, curious to see what it was that Satoshi was planning and when he returned and he saw what he had with him he couldn't help but to grin, "Great job! Now we can bypass any dealings with bees." He said, more then happy to avoid ticking off another hive of those. With that all they had left was the maple leaf and figuring out when and where they would be doing their trial run, "This afternoon should work I am guessing, as for where I am fine with either way. My dorm room is a touch messy but I can just kick my laundry out of the way." He'd been meaning to gather that up and get it washed, really he had, but there were always so many more things out there to do that was more entertaining then laundry. Faced with someone suddenly coming over to his dorm though he realized that he should have cleaned it up earlier.. Giving a bit of a smile he said, "I can get it scraped up after I catch the butterfly, easy peasy." Satoshi was a guy so it wasn't as though it had to be s**c and span to impress the guy, right? A girl on the other hand he might worry more about scolding him for keeping a messy room.

The boy grinned, proud of himself for getting the honey so easily. Now they really were two out of four ingredients... since he was supplying the fish scales right from his person. Hopefully it'll be good enough, there wasn't a specific kind stated in the book. Koi scales would have to do. "Alright," he started to speak behind a mouthful of potatoey goodness. "After we're done eating, we'll part ways and then meet up at your dorm. Just make sure to tell me which one it is. I don't want to go walking around knocking on doors all day." He laughed at the thought. He could find some hot chicks that way though.
Shoving the last of his tater tots into his mouth, he grabbed a bottle of water to crack it open. He loved the tater tots but they always made him so damn thirsty. "Alright, what kinda food you like? I think I'll run to the store and snag us some snacks for this s**t too. I work up an appetite pretty easily. I'll probably just snag some chips and soda if you're ok with that. Maybe some pretzels too... or those little goldfish crackers. I'm really not too sure on what I'll snag yet. But I'll make sure to grab something you like while I'm wandering down the shop isle."

Saphi paused between bites so that he could rattle off the directions to his dorm room as well as the number that was plastered on the front of the door. He'd been lucky enough to get a corner room which meant more windows and sunlight, something he thrived on, "It shouldn't take me too long to catch the butterflies so I should get back to my room quick enough to let you in." He said, not wanting to leave his study partner waiting outside on him. He would just have to hunt down the butterflies in a careful manner was all, to keep from accidentally crushing the needed wings. They needed a whole wing after all and he was almost certain that the potion would know if the wing wasn't whole or was too damaged, likely souring the potion which would be a total shame. As the other mentioned getting snacks, something that would make the study session a little bit more on the tolerable side, he gave a smile, "I am all for any sort of snack but I really like fruit or fruit flavored things. I also like spicy anything." He said, giving a swish of his tail. The hotter or sweeter it was the better it was in his mind and if you could find something that was a mix of both that was the penultimate snack. at the mention of goldfish crackers the lizard mononoke's eyes got rather wide before he burst out laughing, "Do you really eat goldfish crackers, Satoshi?" He knew that it was likely a silly thing to be so amused over but the idea of a fishy mononoke munching on goldfish crackers was just funny to him for some reason. It was like borderline cannibalism due to the shape of the crackers, wasn't it? Biting his lips to get his giggles under control he gave the fish a smile, "Sorry, sorry." He said in a rush, not wanting to insult the other witchling, instead preferring that he might have a possible friend in Satoshi. Best that he didn't screw it up by giggling to hard over a joke that might only be funny to him.

"Spicy and fruity. Gottcha covered." Satoshi muttered, grinning across the table at Saphiros. It was a grin that said he was up to something... "Of course I eat goldfish crackers. The big fish has to eat the little fish to survive." His slender silver eyebrows waggled at Saphiros as he shoved the honey into his bag with the rest of his belongings. He couldn't leave those behind! Double-checking that he grabbed everything, he moved to stand and took lunch tray into his hand.
"I'll meet you back at your place in.... we'll say, three hours? That enough time for you to eat up some bugs and tear off some wings?" Yea, he wasn't stupid. He knew the boy was going to get a mid afternoon snack out in the bushes. Even he is guilty of eating god knows what in the water while swimming around.
He waited until Saphiros stood to walk for the trashcan, tossing away his garbage before adding his tray to the collection on top. "I'll catch ya in a bit. Try not to keep any bug guts on the wings, huh? That's kinda gross...." Winking at Saphiros to show he was just kidding around, the boy turned and left.
On Satoshi's way to the library he started to collect random tree leaves. Every tree he passed with a different leave, he grabbed several as he passed. The boy knew the maple leaf was from a tree, just not too sure what it looked like. If he just collected them as he went along, he wouldn't have to circle back. So by the time he reached the library he had quite the collection of foliage. It only took a few minutes to find a book, identify the leaf he needed.... and to leave everything else there upon the library table. Yea, he was a horrible student and dodged the pissed librarian on his way out!
Three hours later...
Satoshi stood outside of Saphiros's room. He had to juggle one of the paper bags in his arms to knock upon the wooden door, almost spilling the contents to the floor. The young koi mononoke groaned, tapping his foot impatiently as he waited for Saphiros to open the door. He wouldn't simply walk in, even if he was expected.

Saphir couldn't help it as he started to laugh at the big fish, little fish comment, "I see, well that makes sense then." It made the idea of this one going around munching on the goldfish crackers somehow that much more amusing. Survival of the fittest with crackers, it was far to funny. Tossing the last bit of fruit into his mouth the lizard mononoke pushed up to his feet, scooped up his back pack and tray, and trotted along after his fellow student to toss out the scraps and wrappers before setting his tray onto of the stack of them, "Sounds like plenty of time." Time what sometimes a little difficult to keep track of when he was in his other form since he often got distracted by things, but he would do his best to keep himself from being late. The lizard boy's blue cheeks took on the hint of a flush to them when Satoshi mentioned him eating up some bugs and tearing off their wings. So he knew what he was likely going to do while butterfly hunting, huh? Then again he supposed that Satoshi was a mononoke too, of course he would be more aware of what that meant and might happen while he was running around in his other form. The wink he was given was more then enough though to keep him from being too embarrassed though over the knowledge. When there was mention of trying to keep the wings clean he stuck his tongue out at him, "I will do my best." He said, giving a grin before he hurried off. The first stop was the alchemy class room, as much as he didn't want to be there, so that he could pick up a glass jar for keeping components in, then to his locker to drop off his heavy back pack. The moment the door to the locker closed the bag was completely forgotten and he was hurrying off toward the courtyard where there were plenty of plants to be had, flowers included, and he set the open jar on its side, "Alright, time to catch some butterflies." He said, giving a grin as he shifted into his other form. Soon enough there was a small blue lizard running around the courtyard chasing the various butterflies that were fluttering around. There were plenty of them, of various sizes, colors, and shapes, and not really having an idea which sort they needed he caught a few of them. At least that was his excuse for chasing so many of the fluttering creatures down. When he was finally able to really recall the reason for why he was chasing the butterflies he had a good number of wings in the jar and a full stomach, "Oops." He said to himself, starring into the jar before he shifted back, "Gonna have to brush my teeth for sure." He muttered, putting the cover on the jar before he raced off toward his dorm room with the jar in hand. A short time later Saphir had brushed his teeth, gathered all his laundry which was stuffed into a basket and that was in turn stuffed into the closest, everything else was stacked up to look more organized even though the piles of stuff were as random as possible, other things were kicked under the bed. Anything to make it appear cleaner in his dorm room really. He had company coming over after all for the first time and he wanted Satoshi to be comfortable enough, or at least as comfortable as one could be in a dorm room at school doing homework. Hearing the knock the lizard hurried over to the door and pulled it up, "Hello again, come on in." He said, stepping back while pulling the door open to allow his fellow mononoke inside.

Satoshi could hear the mononoke behind the door, scrambling to hide things the last second. It brought a grin to the koi's face and he shook his head slightly. Really, Saphiros didn't have to clean for him. He was a guy and knew most guys had messy rooms. No big deal. Even his own dorm room was full of clutter; only a girl coming to his room would get the fish mononoke to clean it. But once Saphiros opened the door to greet him, Satoshi shoved one of the stuffed paper bags towards his host for the evening. "I got several bags of chips, pretzels and whatever else looked good at the store. I have a bit of a spending problem when it comes to food, but hey... my parents send me money for a reason. They know I like to eat." He chuckled softly, walking into the dorm room. Only after he at the other shopping bag down did he finally turn to check the place out. Not bad. Small like his own and decorated decently enough. He was lucky the last witch in his dorm room had an expensive taste.
Shrugging off his book bag, he casually tossed it towards the bed with a sigh. "Nice place ya got." He muttered, his a** soon joining his book bag on the bed. He had changed while he was back at his dorm and no longer sported the school uniform. Instead, he wore a simple pair of casual navy cotton shorts with a simple white v neck t-shirt. He looked relaxed as he sat there and in no hurry to start their assignment.
"Didja get the wings? I sure hope you did... I didn't bring a butterfly net." He muttered, leaning over to the paper bag to rummage around for a snack. He produced a bag of chips, 'HOT' clearly written on the label. This little fish was not afraid of spicy food and he promptly ripped the bag open to shove some into his mouth. A smile spread across his lips as they burned in delight. "Man these are hot, gunna s**t out flames later tonight kinda hot. Wanna try?" The bag was offered to Saphiros as he watched the other male curiously.
"And when you're ready we can start that potion crap." Satoshi was more interested in relaxing on the other boy's comfortable bed than actually doing what he came there to do. Really, who wants to do homework? And although he seemed gung-ho about it in the start, he couldn't be bothered to really start it without the proper motivation... A full stomach, however, was good motivation. So maybe after the next bag or two of chips Satoshi would be ready to get this show on the road.

Saphi caught the bag that was shoved his way before looking down into it, seeing the many labels of various snack foods and instantly his tail wagging behind him in delight. They all looked like they would taste far better then the butterflies he'd indulged in earlier he thought to himself before he gave the door a little kick so that it would swing closed behind his fishy friend, These all look pretty good." He said, moving to set them down on a small table that the room contained, "You can put the other bag here as well." He said, glad that the table was big enough for all of the bags of snacks as well as a space for them to attempt their potion brewing at. He was rather hopeful though that the two of them would spend more time snacking and less time brewing up potions that might very well explode in their faces... When the other commented on how nice his place was Saphi was glad that he'd put a bit of extra time into cleaning up, and kicking things under the bed, "Thanks! I was pretty lucky to get a corner room. Lots of extra windows." He seemed pretty pleased with that but then again given his love of sunning himself it was only natural that extra windows would please the lizard mononoke so much. Hurrying over to where he'd left the jar of wings he scooped it up, "I didn't know big of wings we might need so I got a variety." He said, setting the jar on the table along with everything else, showing that he'd captured a good amount of butterflies of various sizes, shapes, and colors. He blamed them, if they were so eye catching and delicious when he was in lizard form he wouldn't have had to catch as many as he did he thought to himself before he gave a smile. Of course how tasty they were was forgotten in light of the bag of spicy chips that Satoshi had opened up. By the scent of them alone he could tell how strong they were, that and Satoshi's rather... interesting description of them. When tehy were offered to him he reached out to take a few from the bag, happily tossing them into his mouth, "Mmmm, so much better then butterflies." At least now, when he was in his other form he couldn't seem to get enough of the insect. After eating a couple handfuls of the spicy, mouth searing chips he gave a nod, "Yeah, best to get that out of the way." Better to do it now or else he would do his best to just put it off forever which was his normal way of dealing with homework, ignore its existence until the last moment then rush, rush, rush!
