So I haven't done these in awhile. With good reason, too. I know the majority of you don't care to know, but for those who have been complaining, here's a small summary. Don't have to click it if you don't want to, thus why I put it in a spoiler format. The choice is yours~
I dislike talking about my personal life to those who I don't know. More so, to those I don't trust. Internet folk, especially. Nor do I find it appropriate to go around spewing every difficulty I am met with in my daily life. I like to try and focus on the good, rather than dwell and wallow in what is trying to drag me down. It's much better that way, I think. I'll try and keep this short and simple...
I'm going through a lot in my life. A. LOT. That's no exaggeration, or dramatically blown up. I deal with more than an average person has to, but just try and keep moving forward and hold onto that small sliver of hope that remains. My health is the worst it's been, and it's not getting any better. Everyday is a struggle, and a gamble for me, never knowing if I'll have to be raced to the hospital again, or if I'll pass out, or the like. I have to go the doctor's multiple times, if my mother will even let me which is a battle in and of its own. I have to take lots of tests, and still have a list that still need to happen that I can't afford. I'm getting no where fast, with barely any answers being given. Extreme hypoglycemia, and severe depression are all I know, along with gallbladder issues, and my ulcer tearing due to the immense amount of stress. I've finally been able to get into counseling but digging up old pains and current are a difficult thing for me to do. So I just try and do the best I can, with what I've got. I have a zero support base. None what so ever, aside from the few bits I get here. But even so, I have no one I can go to and rely on. My family is basically non-existent. We all live separate lives, always have. There is no love, it's survival. I've been hated and bullied by my mother's father since the day they were married, and have been having to deal with his immaturity, and heartlessness since I was 2. My mother has checked out, and lives a life for herself, her affections and love for me constantly flip flopping along with her sporadic moods. I gain her help once in awhile, but it's never consistent. Trust doesn't exist. You can only rely on yourself in this household. Thus I seclude myself to my room the majority of the time I'm here, trying to convince myself I'm not just a parasite.. until, when I have the actual energy, I can leave and spend time with friends who make me feel like I'm back in the real world again.
I can't go to school or get a job with my health problems. I never know what my next day will hold, or how I'll be feeling, so I can't commit to what I know I won't be 1oo% sure of. That's just not fair to those I promise. I'm heavily in debt with student loans, and keep trying to find money to pay them off, dipping into my savings, which is almost dried up after trying to build it up. I entered LN as a part-time colourist for this very reason. I won't always be up for doing things in the shop because of all that's going on in my life. I am a human being, after all, not a machine programmed to produce pixelized pets. I'm not even an artist, so my confidence as one is zero. I'm not as comfortable doing things that most other colourists do, because I don't have the experience most of them probably do. I'm naturally insecure about my subpar abilities, in return, and get easily flustered when met with a something I'm well aware I won't be able to overcome. That's why I have to take baby steps to slowly get comfortable and learn how to get better at my weaknesses, rather than throwing myself into the deep end and hoping my work comes out ok. My critical side wouldn't have it. And it'd just deplete any security that's started to grow. After some behind the scenes conversing, I've felt a little more comfortable now that I explain my reasoning for why I work the way I do. Gaia is a place to be fun, and enjoyed, not a chore or a job. I've done a good amount in the shop, and the past few months have be a lull for me. But that doesn't make me less deserving of purchasing pets for myself, like anyone else. That's like getting mad at someone for winning two breedings and a custom. It's totally fair. Hearing complaints about the few times I get characters here is rather confusing, and disrespectful, in my eyes. Perhaps it's from those who hold grudges against me for reasons I cannot comprehend, or who just enjoy bringing others down. {though I'm not sure why you'd want pets for me if this is the case, or why you really care.} Regardless the reason, it's not at all encouraging to do more work, in fact it's quite the opposite. If you're unhappy with something like that, maybe you should step outside of the "anger" or "annoyance" to see the logic behind it all. Get your facts straight, you know? The reason why it's happening, rather than just assuming, and having pointless complaints. I'm not a mean or evil person. If you take the time to get to know me, rather than perceiving me to be just because of my distant and cautious front. I don't trust, or warm up easily with those I cannot be in the presence of, or effectively speak with from voice or actions. Ergo I am weary of many encounters I have online, and the many two-faced individuals who pop up. A lot like a hedgehog, I may be a bit en guarde, and uncertain, but underneath there is soft and warm fur to be found.
I do not look for sympathy, simply consideration and understanding. I like to fight my own battles, as I'm a prideful individual and a fighter. Though support would be loved, I know it's pointless to hope on what can't be obtained. I'm a bit of a realist in that perspective, I guess you could say. But just like every other person in this world, I have my problems, and their negative effect can easily hinder my ability to want to do much of anything at all. Additional stuff from here doesn't help either.
So, like I said this is just a little droplet of what I'm dealing with, I just ask for some consideration. I'm not complaining, I'm just explaining to maybe clear the air of those who like to gossip about and spread rumors. I'm no perfect person, nor would I want to be, but I'm sure no one else would like being spoken ill of by folk who don't know a portion of their life story or condition. I'm not saying I have the worst life/situation, I'm just saying I have a lot going on, and this place isn't my first priority.
