xxPhysical appearance: Tall but thin, Yuri isn't very strong physically. He makes up for this in the fact that he is quick on his feet and very agile. However, he isn't a weakling either and manages to keep himself in decent shape. He is sometimes mistaken for a woman or being younger than he actually is due to his "baby face." This isn't helped by the long, sleek black hair that reaches to the middle of his back. Though a mature masculine voice and his personality leaves little doubt that he is indeed a man. His eyes are large, black, and often very expressive. His attire is kept casual but has a foreign flare to it, with the front of his shirt always kept open, and dominantly black. A katana is often seen dangling from his left hand, another memento from the country in which he's from.

xxBirthplace: Grande Ile, Lower Quarter of Devoirue
xxHistory: Yuri has been an orphan for as long as he can remember, never having actually known his parents. He lived in Grande Ile, up until this point, his entire life, having almost never left the capital. Since he was an orphan, he has always lived in the poverty stricken Lower Quarter. Yuri has always had to rely on his wits and street smarts in order to get by, but was also very much involved in the tight knit community. He grew up with another boy who became his best friend, and the two of them joined the Ile's Guarde with ambitions to improve conditions in the Lower Quarter and ultimately the rest of the country. However, Yuri ended up dropping out after only a few months of service while his friend remained. Instead, much to his friend's dismay, Yuri became a troublemaker in using his unorthodox methods to defend his home and the people he cared for from abuse. Being charged with mostly minor crimes, he was branded a criminal and spent many a night in the local jail from time to time. It wasn't until he'd gotten himself into deeper trouble that his friend decided to intervene, a bit forcefully, and sent him to Kodo.

xxPersonality: Due to being underprivileged, Yuri has always held a dislike for the nobility of Grande Ile. Especially the ones who tend to abuse their authority and look down on those worse off than they. Having seen his share of those around him receiving unjust treatment, he can't turn a blind eye to suffering. He will often leap at the chance to try and undo the wrongs around him, even if it means using questionable methods. He tends to be a lone wolf and will do things his way, especially in circumstances where nothing is being done.

xx Yuri is generally very easy going, and very casual in both appearance and demeanor. Very little ever seems to really bother him, with a few certain exceptions. He is often sarcastic and sometimes smug, and has no discrimination when it comes to joking. He has also been known to hide how he truly feels behind a smile and witty remark. When it comes to his sword, he is flamboyant when using it by flipping and spinning it in the air as he uses it. Which has earned him the accusation of being a show off more than once. Like most of the residents of Grande Ile, he is bilingual in French and English. However, he prefers to speak in English as he considers French to be a stuffy language for nobles.

A product of Team Rocket's endeavors, this is a cloned Arcanine who was genetically manipulated to have the appearance that he does. Having grown up in the labs of the notorious criminal organization, he was eventually sold to a Pokémon fighting pit. Upon sale, the Arcanine's ears were pierced with blue earrings, each one having a number to identify the Pokémon.

In his new home, Pokémon were pitted against each other and fought to the death for entertainment. As part of a new shipment, he had yet to participate when a young man barged in and began freeing the Pokémon. With his leg chained to a wall, he was unable to escape, until Yuri broke it with a fire axe.

Running away, a beat up Repede found him not long after, and convinced him to return and help his partner. Yuri had been defeated by a man name Kratos, and was being carried away when the two dogs confronted him. An unconscious Yuri was surrendered to them, and the Arcanine carried him away into the forest. Watching over Yuri until he awakened. With Repede and Yuri having no further need of him, the legendary Pokémon disappeared into the forest.

From time to time, the Arcanine, dubbed Link for the broken chain on his leg, would appear to the young man that had rescued him. The Arcanine didn't truly belong to Yuri, and was merely a wild Pokémon that has come to respect this one human. That is until Link came to Yuri's aid during a fight between Team Rocket and those allied with the Pokemon League. The Arcanine was severely injured, and the only way to transport him to a Pokemon center was by catching him. Thus, Link is now officially in Yuri's possession.

Yuri was not too keen on keeping this guy. He swiped a Master Ball from some thugs he had a run-in with. Assuming there would be a Mew like Dove's in it, he was quite surprised to find it was a huge, fire breathing, grumpy bird. Not only is Phaeroh's disposition something to be desired, but he eats a lot thanks to his immense size. And well, Yuri has to pay for all that food.

However, instead of kicking the legendary clone out into the wilds that it little understood, Yuri decided to keep him. Perhaps more out of pity than anything.

Places You're Likely To Find Him/Her: Just about anywhere in Camphoreon other than the high end places. He's most often seen in the worst parts of town, but also in places like the park and other public places. Sometimes he can be found on the outskirts of town, doing jobs here and there, and occasionally in the forest. Will only travel to other parts of the island if he has a reason or a whim to.
