"GOOD MORNING ALL SPECTATORS AND WELCOME TO DAY TWO, that's right, day two of the Trials! Coming up today is the Trials of War, a series of complicated obstacle courses that rely on the individual strength of each team member. Which teams will come out victorious - find out soon after this commercial break!"

After a little thirty-second announcement involving the new Squeak-o-matic 5000, guaranteed to leave your house without a single squeak, the very familiar undead Trials host popped up in the center of the spectator arena. The arena itself, just a small five minute walk from the portal, was carved entirely out of stone, seats chiseled into the structure and painted white, as to differentiate them from the rest of the place. Instead of a concession booth, there were several merchants selling their products, from the latest Horsemen collectible figurine, to of course, refreshments, near the bottom of the seats. Each seat was raised one after the other, a series of large screens taking up the enter of the area on all sides to accommodate all viewers.

There was however, a slight problem with the weather. As in, it was pouring. A Reaper-made barrier however, had been constructed to combat the problem once inside the spectator arena, the water bouncing off an invisible shield from above. The contestants however, waiting outside to have their picture taken and then be instructed on their next trial, was not so lucky. In fact, it wasn't just raining, it was raining and windy, the water literally pouring into the ground in giant bursts of torrential droplets. It was impossible not to get entirely, soaking wet, and in fact, it was probably easier to get less wet at this point to simply jump into a giant lake.

A few parents and Amityville staff members seem concerned as they passed by the small huddle of contestants waiting outside, but the Bogeymen ushered them along, muttering a few things about how damaging the Human World so much, so on so forth.

"Now, may I direct your attention to the screens, to where our brave participants will be facing the Trials of War!" There were a chorus of cheers again, those who had made it specifically just to view their family members participating, or others who simply had friends or acquaintances. There were even many who were just simply curious: citizens of Halloween who wanted to understand the Four Clans a little more. The participants on the screen looked miserable, windblown, and soaked, the camera occasionally picking up on a giant buffet of wind that would cause everything to shake for a little bit. "Today, in the Trials of War, all participants must split up from their groups. They represent their groups in spirit as each group member must choose one obstacle course to overcome. Group members should choose carefully: selecting an obstacle course that is their greatest weakness will handicap them greatly! In addition, each group member must complete three obstacle courses, in each hour. They will be given a fifteen minute break between courses to catch their breath, and if necessary, be patched up. These courses are treacherous in their own right, so don't underestimate them, participants!"

One could only hope, judging from a Four Clans member, dressed in very simple, minimal clothing talking to the participants, that they were getting the same instructions.

"All participants will need to collect red flags. There are four red flags in each course, the amount of red flags they collect will be averaged by each team member in the group so unfortunately, having one single weak link, can affect a group's winning chance! The rules are simple with each obstacle course. When the judges signal off with a 'GO', all participants must make it through the obstacle course, or as far as they can, battling any elements they get thrown at them. Each participant will be given a Lepus Guide. If the Lepus Guide deems the participant unable to continue, they will signal the recovery team, who will bring the participant back to the healing tent. Now everyone, wish the participants good luck! We shall see them soon in a few minutes after all of them have made their choices on the courses."

OOC

IF YOU ARE A SPECTATOR:

- You can either use your non Trials character OR you can create a GUEST STUDENT character. Please only use a GUEST STUDENT character if you have a character quest already up and running and make sure to adhere to the TiH roleplaying guidelines. NATURAL FORMS ARE NOT ALLOWED, please only use their "humanoid" forms, due to obviously, limited spectator booth area.
- THIS THREAD IS THE ORP for all spectators! Feel free to post your student, interact with other students, ask questions, so on so forth.
- PLEASE DO not roleplay "parents" or other characters, and simply leave them as 'npcs'. Your character can make note of them or briefly exchange a couple of words, but we want to keep TiH obviously student-centric
- Unfortunately you will not be able to play Hunters in golems at this time, sure they have free time but not this much free time
- This ORP can potentially get large! Make sure to QUOTE whomever you are talking to. If you wish to have your char ICly leave the spectator booth, make sure to post an EXIT post for them at the bottom of their post (they head back towards the portal out) and then an ENTER post if they come back in so that everyone knows!

IF YOU ARE A CONTESTANT:

- This is the second day of the trials! Before you get started, please read the above RP to see "IC instructions" and then see the thread below:
- PLEASE CHECK HOW TO MAKE MAKE AN OBSTACLE COURSE THREAD FOR YOUR GROUP and then HOW TO RUN AN OBSTACLE COURSE HERE
- There is also a DAILY STATUS EFFECT in play! Be sure to check in on it HERE. Daily status effects (OOC), which are actually something like IC hourly status effects, are detonated by the weather. There will be three different weather combination, so make sure to apply the mechanics both oocly and icly for each player running an obstacle course on that day!
- You will also be given a lepus guide which will be hidden in your backback the entire trials. See more information in the OBSTACLE COURSE THREAD

It was time for the next trial. Again, Shun wasn't particularly happy, especially since this one seemed to be even more trying than the last. Well, on the plus side, he wasn't stuck sitting while getting soaked at the same time. And he was wanting to know how the teams would fare for something like this. Finding a spot for himself and Mitsu, he sat himself down, ready to quietly watch the happenings.

Mitsu had come prepared this time. A backpack slung over her shoulder fitted with supplies, some of which she didn't even need given the weather. She wasn't certain if the weather was going to be harsh again so she had thought to bring sunscream but considering the rain it was thankful she had an umbrella as well. Lucky for them they were far from the elements, protected under an invisible barrier. The teams showing up on the screens...not so lucky.

"They are letting everyone get soaked." Mitsu frowned wondering if some of them would get sick from this. They all looked soaked to the bone and miserable out in the rain and wind.

"That's probably the point. Having to deal with extreme weather while running the courses adds to the overall difficulty," Shun stated. This had him wondering if the weather was natural or if it was fabricated for the sake of the trial. A part of him had a feeling it was more of the latter really.

"They'll be fine for the most part. They all have those lepuses."

Though, he supposed it was a question on just how reliable those minis were.

...

Well. It might be interesting to watch.

"I hope they will be." Mitsu said softly, setting her bag beside her as she took a seat.

Casually she brought out a bag of jerky and began to nibble, offering some to her reaper. This time she was sure to have snacks.

Ugh, it had to be raining.

Jack wasn't sure what it was about rain that drained him of energy, but when he was stuck it in, he felt like the slosh that it created out of the grounds around him. But, he was a gentleman, and holding an umbrella, and his pack, he walked through the portal to the new grounds, the rain already making him tired.

Stifling a yawn, he patted a small lump in his hoodie, a complacent mewl coming back from the tutting, as Dreizehn peered over the collar, mismatched eyes watching everything as if it was brand new, and irriplacable - as kittens would. Looking behind him a little, he gave his partner a crooked smile, before quipping a quick "Are we ready for the new trials?"

Somehow his little chat had made his desire to actually come and spectate the trials stronger than it had been before, Invictus's eyes flickering over the crowd, and then to those who were participating to see how they would fare, his attention unwavering.

Conquest would make his presence what stood in for his father's lack of festivity thus far. He would know if his father made an appearance, however. In fact, part of him was expecting it. A small part of him. The smallest part. Father had other things to care about, so when it came to Amityville, Invictus would care instead.

---

Sura had found a pleasant spot to sit in that was close to the front, despite the fact her horns would probably block the views of other people.

She wanted to see what would happen out on the field.

She also wanted to go play in the rain.

---

It was fortunate that the Horsemen had set up a barrier to guard from the rain for them to look at the trials from. Tomoko tagged along with Jack as they went to get a seat in the stands. However, the kitsune had to admit that the weather wasn't the greatest of things. Wet and very sloshy indeed, her shoes trying to sink into the mud that was forming until they got to the stone 'stands' from which to watch the events with.

The rain seemed to immediately pitter away when they stepped onto the mountainside, which was convenient.

"Ne, Jack? How long do you think it took them to carve these stairs away?" she inquired even as they moved between other bustling individuals to find a seat for what was happening.

It was only when she found a seat she took a deep breath and seemed to relax just the smallest bit.

"I'm actually nervous. I hope Jove-kun does well!" she beamed before popping up again and cupping her hands around her mouth, her Ball of stars having been left at home that day to keep it safe.

"
GANBATTE, JOVE-KUUUUUUN!!" she shouted. Hopefully he'd hear her this time!

Hearing the faint sound of plastic rustling, Shun turned to see Mitsu bringing out some jerky. Blinking, he looked at it for a moment, then went ahead and took a piece for himself.

"Thank you," he said quietly before taking a bite. The teams had started to get going. It was a little harder to keep track of everything this time around due to so many different things happening at the same time in different places. He managed to catch sight of Jericho falling off of a cliff face. And there was Xiu dealing with icy terrain.

Someone else on a similar course just had a wipe out.

Letting out a breath, he paused when he suddenly heard a vaguely familiar voice shouting out in Japanese somewhere nearby. He raised an eyebrow while glancing over in that direction, catching sight of the young Conquest in the distance as well.

"Get your horsemen collectibles here! Invictus bobbleheads. I <3 Eris T-shirts! And more! Limited time offer! Only to be sold at the trials!" the Reaper suddenly heard.

"......"

Really?

Enzo had mixed emotions about rain. On one hand, it lessened the amount of small creepy crawlies lurking about. On the other, it sent them scurrying for cover wherever possible- mostly under his coat. He snorted, shifting his black trench as he joined the other spectators in the drier area, and after flicking his collar up, sending several roaches flying, he suddenly leaped onto one of the seats to call out to the crowd- "TAKING ALL BETS TAKING ALL BETS! Double your seeds in just a few courses! NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO JUMP ON THE TROLLEY!"

Waving a packet of papers, he beamed excitedly from face to face to face. Surely these guys knew how to have a good time. There were already the stats of the previous round to go by. This would be great, "SHIPSTERS IN THE LEAD! BUT WILL THEY KEEP IT UP? PLACE YOUR BETS NOW!"

Jerky, you say?

OuO

There was a familiar wriggling and snort-making sound as a certain gator tried to push his snout into the bag of snacks.

"You are the bestest best best scrit-scriter ever," he said happily to Mitsu during his attempt. "And you and Grumpbutt will keep me warm. And if you do I will sing to you the songs of my people~"

Feeling some brush past, followed by a familiar voice, Shun turned to see a certain alligator finding his way to them. For a moment, he looked up and around to see if the reaper was nearby as well. Instead, he saw the guy shouting earlier about selling merchandise. He also hold him holding up a certain item that was...

Indeed an Invictus bobblehead.

The Grim quietly facepalmed, then offered the nearby reptile a little of his jerky.

"We don't have heaters, if you were hoping for that."

While everyone else seemed to be annoyed by the weather, Poke didn't seem too fussed about it. In fact, she didn't even bother to bring a umbrella as she walked towards the spectator stands, and ended up getting soaked through. She did try to get the excess water out of her clothes though, before she sat herself down on one of the stone seats, noting that Shun, Mitsu and the alligator were here too. She waved to them as a greeting, then glanced up at the screens.

"Those trials look much harder then before" She commented to the group. "I wouldn't mind giving them a go though. It would be one hell of a experience."

King was, really, trying to enjoy the rain. Rain was warmer than snow. Snow? He would have been perfectly fine. But as it stood, he was going to smell like wet dog if he stood without an umbrella. Thankfully he not only had some silver seeds on hand, but a vendor was selling- "Get your Umbrellas here! Get your-" No. He would be wet wolfos, his scent be damned. He wasn't buying an umbrella that had some woman's face and cleavage on it. He had more pride than that. Thankfully, it seemed he'd not have to worry as once he was in the spectator arena proper he would be dry.

A simple shake and he was feeling better about the weather. Even if now he was slightly..damp. As he noticed Tomoko and Jack he also caught a wiff of- Cat. cat cat cat cat cat cat cat damp and sniffing the air, he went to Tomoko's other side, hoping to use her scent as a natural barrier. to lessen that of cat.

Mitsu smiled and nodded setting the bag in her lap before her ears perked at the sound of yelling. She was certain she had seen the ghoul before. Her name was...Tomo? Something like that. Hopefully whoever she was yelling at would get encouragement from her shouting.

She was just about to turn and investigate the noise about merchandise when she felt something climbing into her lap and looked down to find a little gator sticking his head in her bag of jerky.

"Oh, Lafayette, you made it!" Mitsu looked around as well to see if his reaper was near by but didn't see her right off. Maybe she was mingling? Oh well, Mitsu didn't mind. She was rather fond of the little gator and happily pulled him into her lap to keep him warm. Mitsu ran a little hotter than most so she was comfortable despite the cool air.

"Ooo, I would love to hear," Mitsu smiled, pulling the bag free of Lafayette's head but being sure to leave him plenty of jerky to chew on. Whether his singing was good or bad Mitsu had no idea but she was excited either way.

That's when she finally looked up at the sound of a familiar voice catching sight of the bobblehead horseman. It took her a moment of staring before she finally deemed it cute, smiling wide and pointing it out to Shun like he hadn't just seen it.

"This trial certainly doesn't look anything like the sandcastle one..." Mitsu replied to Poke. The lycan was rather indifferent to having not participated. If Shun had gone she would have but he hadn't so she had sat out. Honestly it was different watching the danger and not having to worry about it as badly. Though she was worried for her friends.

The heir of Death did not mind her soaked and chilly appearance. Elements of the weather was of little consequence, considering such elements tended to provoke a few students to slip up and send themselves to their demise was only all the better. Aisa had no particular grudge against a student or two, she only felt a wistful yearning grow rapidly within her bosom, admiring the show.

It was marvelous. The trials of War was like a dish with the most succulent of uncooked meats, the bleeding and the dissipating .. There was no wonder why the heir was a little giddier with a breathless excitement. She had no expectations for the students, other than to see them die over and over, considering their repeat performances with hunters. Ah, What a trial Eris must have went through. Aisa's biggest regret was that she wasn't there to see the show, the trials of Famine and War. As for Conquest, she could only that his position could be kept by the current Connie.

Those pompous siblings of his .. yet, Connie was quite pompous as well. Aisa wasn't sure how he played it off just right~ Although, they may have both neared death over that personality of his. Frowning over the memory, Aisa briefly wondered, how was her position with the clan of Death?
