14 JAN: DANCE HAS BEGUN![color=white] Starting from here.EVERYONEDansu... TAKE NOTE: Dance will "end" on Tuesday night EST. There will be another announcement to close it and after that all the rooms will be open yay. Do move off into small groups for intimate chatting tiems, or stay to dance some more if you like (with a different partner perhaps???) If you have any particular short plottings you want to get on with a character, this would be a GREAT TIME... JUST SAYIN... I know RL is starting to pick up for a lot of us so... yeah, TRY YOUR BEST OK. Depending on how efficiently we can get this going there MAY BE VILLAINS. Okay actually there was gonna be villains but if we move too slow then we might just scrap that altogether, IT DEPENDS. Mistletoe bird will also be making its rounds, maybe. The whole ORP will end at approx end of Jan, possibly on a Sunday or Monday. I will cut it off regardless of whether you're in the middle of kissing someone or whatever, so please end off everything before then if you can!

15 DEC: Stuff is happening nowww[color=white] RP Guidelines by Tan, READ THISIt was 4pm in the evening. The sun in Megapolis was setting, casting a warm red and orange glow over the grounds of SA. Guests for the night's charity ball were arriving in a slow trickle. The early birds were hanging around the hall entrance, chit chatting, drinking, and admiring the decor. Others were just driving in in their fancy cars. All seemed fine and normal... on the surface. Unseen by unnoticing eyes, several heroes were already positioned in the immediate vincinity of the long open path, some hiding in bushes, some serenading as bouncers in plain sight, ever vigilant, waiting to react to the slightest sign of trouble... ROOKIES AND HEROES SLATED FOR DUTYReport to the Control Room for a briefing with your team leaders. CIVILIANSWeeeell the rooms aren't exactly open to the public yet, the staff are still preparing them so JUST WAIT.

Let me tell you a story...[color=white] The Annual Megapolis Charity Ball is a fancy charity ball (duh) that is held at that white tower in the middle of nowhere every year around Christmas. Its the only time the building opens its doors to the public and each year, hundreds of people privileged enough to receive an invitation attend the charity ball to mingle, catch up with old chums, maybe hook up with a rich girl/guy, and of course, give away generous amounts of cash to the charity drive. The host of the charity ball changes every year; they're usually big companies who want to look good in public. But don't worry, the money collected is REALLY given away to organizations that need it, Binary makes sure of it. Civilian attendees at this event usually consist of
Rich dudes who own other big companies, along with their families
Reporters and journalists who are covering the event
Beneficiaries of the charity ball
Party crashers who managed to get past the host's security guards for the night woops
And of course, for any residents with a family, their family might drop in to see them
This is the only time the security traps around that longass path are disabled so that the attending civilians can walk to the main building safely. As such, the school's defenses are also at their lowest point during this time of the year. Perfect for any ambitious villains who have their eyes set on the cash rich venue. And because the defenses are lowered outside, there's a need to up the defenses inside. No better way to do that than mobilize an entire school of superpowered kids eh?
This thread contains the information you'll need for the ORP. Read it all carefully please. Some of it is subject to change while mori derps around with it.
If you have any questions, post them in the main thread and mori will get back to you asap.

SA RESIDENTS
This is a covert mission. Do NOT blow your cover, unless you really can't help it. At least put a mask on before you go commando okay.
Eat and dance and enjoy the ball too, you're undercover, remember? Don't look so uptight all the time.
Occasionally orders will be issued from Control to you via ear pieces. LISTEN TO THEM.
Apparently, there's a mistletoe bird flying around the premises too...

【 OOC RULES 】what do when RPing
ENTERING AND EXITING AREAS
You can only be in one area (thread) at a time.
You are free to move anywhere you like, but try not to cluster around the same area when a whole bunch of people are already there.
When entering or leaving an area, tag your posts at the beginning or end with [ENTER] or [EXIT]. Format it however you like, but make sure its obvious.
EXAMPLE[color=white] [ENTER] Hack strolled into the buffet room and had a gasm when he saw the spread of food available. ... It was so amazing he couldn't stand it and he promptly ran out of the room screaming. [EXIT]
RP ETIQUETTE
Try to mention as many people as you can, even if you don't talk to them! Its a really large ORP I know, but TRY! Even a "he noticed a red head walk in with lots of swag" sort of counts.
When referring to a person, try to make it obvious that you're referring to them so that its not missed. You can use a different colour, or bold their names/description, for example.
Pretty sure this is universal but BE NICE. Don't leave people out okay.
COMMUNICATIONS (For SAers)
Orders from Control will be in a certain format, issued either from ??? or ???.
MISTLETOE LOL
Well uh, the bird will specify who its flying over and all, so when that happens, make sure you have some kind of reaction to it.

【 AREA LAYOUT 】so you don't get lost
There are a total of 5 rooms (forums), not including the entrance. The Control Room is accessible and known only to SAers.
THE ENTRANCE
A fancy flight of steps leads you up to the main hall. The hall entrance is at the top left hand corner of the map and the way to the Control Room is at the top right hand corner
(This isn't really a room, mori just really liked the picture is all lmao)
DANCE FLOOR
On the stage, a large semi-transparent golden globe, as tall as the average man, stands majestically on a stand. In it are wads of cash and cheques, donations from tonight's guests for the beneficiary.
Situated in front of this globe, your band for the night, the Nyancats, are playing a wonderful selection of youtube tracks as people dance to the music on the floor. Why not join in?
BUFFET AREA
FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD. A magnificent spread of food from all over Megapolis can be found on four long tables, from sauerkraut to cheese and macaroni, caviar to sushi, medium steak to rojak and mee siam, the varieties are endless. There're even a couple of chefs at the sides, standing by to cook you some dishes on the spot.
DINING AREA
Round tables line the sides of the hall and the dance floor. The largest tables can seat up to 8 people quite comfortably and the smaller ones can seat 2 or 4. Smartly dressed waiters flit around, cleaning up tables with amazing efficiency.
GARDEN BALCONY
The garden balcony located outdoors is a spacious area with grassy flooring and a lovely view of the Eastern Channel. The breeze out here is cool and refreshing, carrying the slight salty tang from the sea. A small pond is located right in the middle of the garden and benches are scattered around the area. Miniature lights and candles light the place up at night, giving the place a most romantic feel. Aww...
CONTROL ROOM
The Control Room, or Control for short, is a room tucked away deep in the recesses of the watchtower of the school. Normally, a small team of heroes on a rotating roster will be stationed here to monitor all the machinery and security deployed around the campus.
For this time of the year though, defenses are stretched pretty thin so you only have two this time...

【 IN CASE OF VILLAINY 】how to whoop their asses
Villains might crash the party. Okay they WILL crash the party, and when they do, there will be epic food fights battling.
The moment one shows up, follow the following instructions.
For simplicity's sake, everyone (rookie, villain, hero, civilian) starts out with 50 HP.
Roll a 10d when attacking.
If you roll a 1, that's a miss.
If you roll a 10, you do a crit and do double damage of 20 instead.
Everything else from 2 to 9 is a direct hit of the same amount.
Keep track of your HP in bold red and bold your target.
One target at a time.
You may post any number of posts in any order, but you may only attack the villain once, after which you must wait for the villain to retaliate before you can attack them again.
In other words, you whack. Wait until the villain takes another stab at someone else. Witty banter for a bit maybe. Villain attacks. Whack again.
Not whack-whack-whack, villain attacks, whack-whack-whack.
You are to retreat when your HP hits 0. For villains, flee. For everyone else, you are down and out for the fight. Either [EXIT] and go get patched up in the Control Room, or stick around and chuck cakes at the villain uselessly.
Civilians are allowed to attack the villain too, but do NOT at any point use ANY of your powers. Chuck cakes if you must. But beware, you will automatically be a target if you stand out too much.
Not really a rule but some friendly advice; if you're going to shoot posts back and forth really fast, be careful about synchronized posting. Its not fatal, but it does create some problems with the flow of the story, so be careful!
And if you forget to roll, quote yourself and REMEMBER TO ROLL, yes.

And if not then what is the rest of the student body doing ? O v O
nope. Just assume that only those who signed up are part of the defense
the rest of the student body are probably going home for Christmas or busy doing stuff elsewhere lol....
the kind that Flo is referring to when she says most the heroes are busying fighting off villains from all around because villains seem to attack more during holidays
Do you mean people in general with powers or like, hero heroes; the full-fledged ones? O v O
I'm going to hazard a guess here; you're asking whether they're just people with powers, or heroes with affiliations to the school? If I guessed that right then the answer is: they're affiliated to the school. Think of SA like the Justice League, if you know what that is. They have things like patrol duty and stuff, but they're not necessarily mentors all the time 【 CREDITS 】All images for the rooms do not belong to us! We're simply using them for illustrative purposes.
