Meet Fjolnir. He is a real sweetheart with a tragic past and some deep-seated emotional issues. He needs friends, possibly enemies, and a more coherent past.
The Background: Once upon a time, Fjolnir belonged to a pride of brightly-coloured, open-minded, peaceful lions, who appreciated the arts (dancing, singing, making all kinds of music, storytelling, painting, etc.) Basically, they were like lion hippies.
They lived in a beautiful jungle, full of multicoloured flowers, sweet scents and bubbling brooks, in peace and harmony, never hunting any more than they could eat and welcoming anyone and anything who found them to stay with them for a while or forever. Their only rule: Be respectful of nature and each other. Love and peace~!
Then, one night, the pride was discovered by human poachers, who slaughtered everyone for their bright pelts. Everyone, except for Fenja (Owned by Mogami), who was taken alive and put in a cage, and Fjolnir, who witnessed the whole thing - including the death and skinning of his own mother - from a small hiding place.
At the end of that horrible night, Fjolnir was left all alone with only the skinned bodies of his loving friends and family for company. He was hardly more than a cub.
What I need/want for him: Since the death of his pride, Fjolnir has stayed in his jungle home, keeping his old pride's lands as best he can, as it is the only link he has to his bright, happy cubhood. He is also hoping that someday, Fenja might find her way back, since he saw her be taken alive, and he feels that he needs to make sure that she has a home to return to if she does.
Past: I would like to figure out Fjolnir's past a bit. As he grew up, he probably wasn't always alone. It would be nice if someone came across him soon after the incident, maybe even helped him dispose of the mutilated bodies. Maybe they tried to take him with them to some other place, but he refused/ran away/they reached an agreement to meet back at the jungle again every now and then/whatever.

I'm also thinking it could be possible that Fjolnir was somehow driven away from his home while he was still young, and had to get stronger to go take it back. Your SoA could be the aggressor that must be defeated,(C.C.G has dibs on this one!) or we could NPC that character if you'd rather have yours be the sensei/mentor/(Holy cow, Fjol's gonna be mentored by a God! Thanks Nova!)strong comrade who helped Fjolnir get stronger and/or helped him fight off the invader. Maybe two or three RPs in all, I think? Any species.
Friends: He needs past and present friends. Someone to talk to, sing with/for. Maybe even SoA who has decided to stay with him and help him keep his home, as a sort of mini-pride/loose coalition kind of thing. Fjolnir will insist that everyone who stays does it according to his old pride's rules, though. Fjolnir is still a very gifted singer, and has a lot of respect and appreciation for other artists or artistically inclined critters, but anyone's welcome. Any species.
Fights: Fjolnir is also available for fights, if anyone's looking. He will defend his lands with teeth and claws, and use the same means to drive off anyone who disrespects nature/others. He'll gladly grant shelter and protection to anyone who is persecuted or hunted or otherwise need a safe haven for a while, as long as they ask nicely and show respect. But anyone who behaves intolerantly or mean will be made to leave, one way or the other. Any species.

Be aware, though, that it is unlikely to encounter Fjolnir outside of the jungle. His home is not too difficult to find, though, and I'm not unflexible. If you have an idea that he might fit, it can't hurt to ask me.
