So, as the announcement has told everyone, I am now nominal captain of the group, until our good founder has returned. I want to start by thanking him for laying the founding measures to make this game possible, let alone the wherewithal to set the foundations. Without his work, nothing I could possibly do to keep this game going would be possible.
As skrull pirate has said, I am acting captain of this guild and with his approval, I am going to start expanding the history and knowledge base of the world at large, and of Megalopolis. I will be creating a thread for that, as well as one to help new players make an easy entrance into the game, and give them a baseline of expectations.
I am also going to be creating a thread for people to ask questions about the roleplaying setting and rules. I intend to carry out the same system of handing out Megards for missions, but I might also reward them for special creativity, adding to the world at large and excellent roleplaying, though this will be a rare treat, not a common handout.
So, with that in mind, I need to state something clearly and forthright with everyone. This is not my game. This is not just Skrull's game. This is all of ours game. I might be making up some important points of history for this world, but anyone can expand it with small nuggets of information. I will post more on this in the History thread, but before anything else, this is a community, not a dictatorship, feel free to create something anyone can build from, not just your own character.
What are the immediate changes? Well, for one, I want anyone to be able to formulate any thread they like. I have been ruminating on the idea of a "super" neutral zone, maybe a bar, or something, where people in costume can meet and greet without worrying about the next crisis or fight. I have lots of things I want to do, but so should each of you. Get to thinking about what you want Megalopolis to be come. If you have any worries that your plans will be too extravegant, then I will be happy to give it a yea or nay. For now, I will stop yammering, but the next thread to go up is the Questions thread, so if you have any questions you wish to ask, take it there. Or if you feel uncomfortable asking in public, don't hesitate to ask me in a Private Message.
If I get my way, this game will become a wild ride, so buckle your seatbelts and prepare. This should be fun!
