Personality|| Despite his strict and serious upbringing, Ix is still a generally cheerful individual. Though it may be difficult to tell on most occasions, the prince is a generally content person. He is very controlled in his reactions, and always thinks before responding in any way. It is quite difficult to surprise him, and even more so to catch him off guard. He is virtually a kind and allowing individual, and is near impossible to make angry, at least noticeably so. He is extremely calculating in his actions, and is very skilled at playing the princely character. It is hard to tell how much of his princely exterior is his own personality, and how much is an act he is putting on to please his father's expectations. There is a twisted part of him deep down, but this is very well hidden from the public. It is advised to avoid crossing him at any and all occasions.

History|| High above the land, someone out over the sea, there is a large castle in the sky. The castle walls are made of clouds, and it is here that the Sylphid Monarchs live. The current ruler, Basileus Ariel, has 9 children; 3 from his first wife, and 6 from his second {and current} wife. Icarus is the second of his children from his first wife. He has one older brother, one younger sister, and 6 younger half siblings. His mother, the late Queen Tyria, died giving birth to what would have been his younger sister. Sadly, both were lost in due to very difficult labor. The Basileus spent years out of the public eye grieving before finally remarrying.
Being the second son, Icarus was trained in all the ways of a monarch. He has been taught since birth that he is to be his brother's back up, as well as his main support system. Like his brother, the younger prince did not have much time for a real childhood. He matured quickly, though is prone to the occasional fit of childishness. His preferred method of childish actions include pulling pranks on the palace servants with his younger half siblings, actions he was dragged into by his older brother. As they continued to grow, however, the two princes spent more and more time apart. While Ciarin, the oldest son, focused his studies on business and diplomacy, Icarus was pushed into more support based directions; languages, geography, cultural studies. Once in a while, he would be allowed to journey out into the world to test his skills on trips with his younger sister Rina and her exploration team.
Post Time Skip
After receiving his BA in Politics, Icarus returned home to Urbem Vantum to assist his brother in the Sylphid capital. He visits Reed’s and his sister frequently, and has advanced drastically as a mage; he is now on par with a human wizard, and has spread is magic techniques to cover more than just Wind and Healing. He enjoys assisting in human hospitals to take back medical knowledge to his people.
