 ○○○○○Name: Kiarei Mori ○○○○○Behind the Name: A hybrid of Kealei (Gaelic) and Kirei (Japanese). Both names mean 'Beautiful'. ○○○○○Age: 19 ○○○○○Gender: Female ○○○○○Sexuality: Kia is open to fall in love with anyone, no matter their gender or appearance. ○○○○○Race: Human ○○○○○Height: 5' 4" ○○○○○Hair: White ○○○○○Eyes: Red ○○○○○Likes: Things that grow, Night skies, animals ○○○○○Dislikes: Cruelty, Many man-made things, crowds ○○○○○Personality: ○○○○○§Gentle Kia is cautious by nature, and thus handles everything gently and with great care. Even her voice is soft and pleasant, almost soothing in a way. She will never strike out at anyone unless she is struck first and, even then, she is very reluctant to do so. She does not enjoy hurting others, simply wanting to use her abilities to benefit them instead of harm. ○○○○○§Empathetic Often Kia is very good at understanding and sympathizing with others. When someone cries, she will cry with them and, if they laugh she'll laugh as well. Due to this her mood can be easily lifted by others... Though it can also diminish due to them as well. For the most part it makes her easy to talk to in most situation as well as incredibly understanding. ○○○○○§Quiet When speaking she typically doesn't say much and it is usually very softly. Typically she only speaks if she believes she has something important to offer, otherwise she will remain silent. This goes for every day conversations as well as anything official she may be a part of. Kia prefers to communicate with expressions, ears, and tail more than with words, though, at times, it can make her a little difficult to get close to. She is astounding at listening, but getting her to open up about anything concerning herself or getting her to talk much is incredibly hard. ○○○○○§Unconfident Despite being a recognized witch, Kia has surprisingly little faith in her own abilities. She believes herself to never be fully on par with the others, secretly and, while she will never hesitate to offer help, it is usually only if no 'better' help is available. She also has difficulty understanding why anyone would want to converse with her or just generally be around her. ○○○○○§Sensitive Due to her empathetic nature, Kia can be very sensitive to others, but can also be emotionally hurt very easily. She gets upset easily when insulted and rarely if ever defends herself. It's very easy to drive Kiarei to tears if one is trying and she will often cry long before she reaches the point of getting angry. ○○○○○Aspirations: Kia wants to use her magic for healing and to make things grow. She is very much based in earth magic and creation and never uses her magic to destroy or hurt unless her need is dire. She has to be pushed incredibly hard to use her magic for anything other than peaceful purposes, and she hopes to one day create a peaceful refuge for others to rest and heal. She aspires to one day serve the Kingdom as an Ars Lilium... Though she hopes to never have to hurt anyone. ○○○○○History: Kiarei was born into a modest family, one that always seemed to have a strange affinity for wildlife and plants. The Mori family had always been well-known in Clarus Arbor for their herbs and their more nature-based abilities. It was no surprise that their daughter was soft-spoken and kind, never mind incredibly polite, if a little shy. It was also no surprise when she was accepted into the Academy to further her learning.
As she studied, Kiarei secretly began working on her control, her focus, in private. It was on one of those days that she felt something, like a magical pull, that had her biting her lip before allowing the magic to take control. That was when she first shifted into a white wolf, her tail flowing, almost wispy in nature. She had been beyond excited, despite the fact that when she returned to her human form there were certain... Changes.
Many were jealous of her accomplishment and mocked her for her new ears and tail, bullying her. Being sensitive and a little shy, Kia did not cope well with this sudden bullying in reaction that she and many of her instructors that was wonderful. Despite the professors' efforts the bullying continued until Kia finally graduated and disappeared back to Clarus Arbor.
Her parents had saved up a modest sum of money for Kiarei to begin living on her own, to make her own business. Eternally grateful, she began to make an herb garden and, due to her skills, left her door open for the purpose of healing. She became a Healer for those less fortunate or not magically inclined, leaving her door open to any that needed her help.
○○○○○Home: Kia lives in Clarus Arbor in a very humble residence. She doesn't have many baubles, but enjoys keeping flowers and herbs around her home. Her furniture is wooden and very simple. She isn't wealthy and lives mostly off the land around her home by gardening.

○○○○○Concentration: First and foremost, Kiarei is a healer. Her use of most other magic is poor except for Abjuration, protective magic. From the way she uses her magic one can tell that she is very focused on keeping others healthy and safe, despite her obvious lack of offensive strength. Despite this her healing abilities are quite powerful and she will never refuse to help those in need. Kiarei is also a Mononoke, though she rarely shifts into this form as she does not want to scare anyone. Usually she will only shift to defend herself or to get places faster than her human legs would normally permit.

○○○○○Abjuration: ♦♦♦♦This school is focused on protective spells, as well as spells which cancel or interfere with other spells, magical effects or supernatural abilities, such as Break Enchantment, Dimensional Anchor, Dispel Magic or Remove Curse. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Abjurers. ○○○○○Conjuration: ♦♦♦♦♦This school, known as Conjuration in 3rd and 3.5 editions and Conjuration / Summoning in earlier editions, is focused on instantaneous transportation, conjuring manifestations of creatures, energy or objects and object creation. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, healing spells are also part of the conjuration school, however of the three core arcane classes, these spells are generally restricted to bards. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, Conjuration is divided into five subschools: calling (spells which physically transporting extraplanar creatures to the caster, as well as granting them the ability to return to where they were called from), creation, healing, summoning (teleporting objects to the caster's location and / or causing creatures to physically manifest at the caster's location) and teleportation (instantly transporting creatures and / or objects). Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Conjurers. ○○○○○Divination: ♦♦♦This school is focused on acquiring information. In 2nd edition, Divination was divided into two schools: Lesser Divination (all Divination spells up to 4th level) and Greater Divination (all Divination spells of 5th level or higher) in order to prevent specialist wizards from losing access to certain utility spells such as Detect Magic, Identify and Read Magic, serving a similar purpose to 3rd edition's Universal Magic. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, Divination has one subschool: scrying, spells within the scrying subschool create invisible magical sensors which provide the caster with information, these sensors can be detected and dispelled. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Diviners. ○○○○○Enchantment ♦♦This school, known as Enchantment / Charm prior to 3rd edition and Enchantment in 3rd and 3.5 editions, changed dramatically in 3rd edition, when all non-mind-affecting spells were removed from the school and many were moved to Transmutation. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, all Enchantment spells are mind-affecting and Enchantment is divided into two subschools: compulsion and charm. Charm spells, such as Charm Person or Symbol of Persuasion, affect the targets' attitudes, usually making them act more favorably toward the caster. Compulsion spells such as Confusion, Dominate Monster, Feeblemind, Sleep, Suggestion or Zone of Truth, can force the targets' to act in a certain way or avoid certain actions, affect the targets' emotions or affect the targets' minds in other ways. The Compulsion subschool also includes buffs, such as Aid and Heroism. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Enchanters. ○○○○○Evocation: ♦This school is called Invocation / Evocation prior to 3rd edition, and Evocation in 3rd and 3.5 editions. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, Evocation is focused on damaging energy-based spells such as Fireball, Lightning Bolt and Cone of Cold. It also includes conjurations of magical energy, such as Wall of Force, Darkness, Light, Leomund's Tiny Hut and the Bigby's Hand spells. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Evokers. ○○○○○Herbology: ♦♦♦♦Herbalism is a traditional medicinal or folk medicine practice based on the use of plants and plant extracts. Herbalism is also known as botanical medicine, medical herbalism, herbal medicine, herbology, and phytotherapy. The scope of herbal medicine is sometimes extended to include fungal and bee products, as well as minerals, shells and certain animal parts. Pharmacognosy is the study of medicines derived from natural sources. ○○○○○Illusion: ♦This school is known as Illusion / Phantasm prior to 3rd edition and Illusion in 3rd and 3.5 editions. In 3rd and 3.5 editions, it is divided into five subschools: figment, glamer, pattern, phantasm and shadow. Figment spells create artificial sensations with no physical substance. Glamer spells alter the target's sensory properties, and can cause invisibility. Pattern spells create insubstantial images which affect the minds of the viewers, pattern spells can inflict harm. Phantasm spells create hallucinations which can be harmful. Shadow spells use magical shadows to create things with physical substance. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Illusionists. ○○○○○Necromancy: ♦Necromancy spells involve death, undeath and the manipulation of life energy. Prior to 3rd edition, healing spells are in the Necromancy school, however these spells are generally restricted to clerics and / or druids. Necromancy can usually be divided into three or four categories: spells that help or create the Undead, like Animate Dead; spells that hurt the Undead, like Disrupt Undead; spells that hurt other people, like Enervation or Vampiric Touch; and spells that manipulate life in order to heal, such as Regenerate or Cure Serious Wounds, which were shifted to the Conjuration school in 3rd edition. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Necromancers. ○○○○○Transmutation: ♦♦This school is known as Alteration / Transmutation prior to 3rd edition, and as Transmutation in 3rd and 3.5 editions. Spells in this school alter the properties of their targets. Examples include Bull's Strength, Fabricate, Polymorph, Plant Growth, Move Earth, Water Breathing. In 3rd edition, many non-mind-affecting spells from 2nd edition's Enchantment / Charm school were moved to the Transmutation school. Wizards who specialize in this school are known as Transmuters.
