Vast plains broken by ruins of ancient villages leave historians wondering who once lived here. However, the Bonewalkers don't care much. Having inhabited this land for centuries. Before the tribes came to claim the land for their own, signs showed the once mass disturbance of the plains, small stockpiles being discovered here and there containing farming equipment, tons of seeds, and other miscellaneous items. Unfortunately, these were ransacked, any metal tools sharpened into weapons and the seeds eaten rather quickly.

The great deal of readying the dirt for crops, however, combined with a drought and no grass left hold the earth down dried out the soil and turned it into dust, causing massive sandstorms and leaving the plains a hellish landscape. At least not for the Bonewalkers. The only ones who seem to be able to hash out a living on the barren landscape, they have taken over the small villages that once were and have used them as shelter from the sands, bringing in herds from different areas for livestock. While generally smarter than the average sort of this race, their savage nature still pervades, any travellers unfortunate enough to wander through meeting a torturous end of having their bones ripped out of them alive.

Though once race seems to be able to past through here unscathed: Nightmares. With their sudden appearance in the material form, they have come to a mutual relationship with the tribes, serving as guardians and watchers. A small portion of the flesh is traded for these services, and many find themselves hearing voices before being ambushed by Bonewalker warriors.
