For a while now, I've been thinking of having some sort of symbol or insignia for the clan that we can put in banners and such. This idea originally came to me back when the old clan was active, but popped into my head again when I was looking at the clan home page - if we had some art on there, people might feel more inclined to look in the clan and maybe even join! Colour-wise, we'll probably only need two colours that contrast with each other; something like white/beige on a darker background - probably red, purple or black. For the picture itself, I was thinking of having Laura Vadenmar, maybe in some armour, holding a big flag in one hand and a sword in the other, with the wind blowing her hair and flag off to one side, with a red mood behind her... Hopefully this will look pretty badass! Suggestions and critiques, particularly for designing the look of the clan symbol, will be more than welcome! 3nodding

I think that yes, there should be a clan symbol.
The name's spelled Vandemar. 4laugh
I'm not sure if artwork of me is the best way to advertise the clan... I like to think that this clan is more than just a personality cult centred around me...
Besides, I don't have any one shape anymore that I'd wear often enough for people to recognize it was me.
But yes, we could use a clan picture, and in the present circumstances, a contest may not be the best way to acquire one.
How much would you charge if I hired you to draw and design the clan picture/banner?
About the symbol: it has to have a red moon in it. Because we're the Vampire Clan of the Blood-Red Moon. The more the moon's color resembles blood, the better.
The moon can be in the background in the landscape, or it can be part of the flag, or something else.
If there are vampires in the picture, there should be more than one. I will give you specifics for characters to use, if you choose to use characters.

Know now that the highest I can pay you is a Kottan Bell. Or I can sell it for whatever it goes for in the marketplace, and give you the gold. The Vamps I want to be in the picture are the same as the current Captain and Vice Captains of this clan. Which means that you will have to PM each of them and ask them how they'd like to be portrayed in the guild banner. Ask them to supply you a tektek - none of that 'my current avi' nonsense, because people have an annoying habit of changing their avis and forgetting that the artist maybe hasn't been online yet to see the right one... I know, I had an art shop, it was annoying. You have the right to demand tektek references, and if someone has art of their character already, or some other reference image, I hope that is acceptable also. Best way of doing it would be for them to supply all the art there is of their character, and then specify which items of clothing the character will be wearing in YOUR art by making a tektek of them. But you as the artist have the right to sort this to your satisfaction. If some VC does not supply you with image references within reasonable time, or does not reply to PMs asking about the character etc, you have the right to omit that VC from the final picture. You can decide how long is reasonable time, but give them at least two weeks, because sith happens, etc. Remember the two weeks begin when you pm the VC. As to myself/Laura Vandemar - draw me as Alruna, sort of.
