prologue: i was on my way to yet another glorious battle when i was engulfed in a mysterious mist, another accursed mage had attemtped to get in my way i got lucky one of my fellow paladins pulled me out... ill never forget my past. his name was reks he and i were given individual tasks but found ourselves together every now and then i treated him as i would a brother my family died during a great forest fire in the salika woods reks had warned me of black mages and their ilk before but i stubbornly went off on my own task and i paid the price.... a dark knight and a bundle of black mages destroyed my families home and sluaghtered my only parents... it was a sad moment in deed watching them being felled by darkness blades but took my vengeance and as i did i was cursed forever to be a unique paladin. i lost consciousness during my epic struggle with the dark magicks and when i awoke my armor was corrupted and transformed my once white clothes now had black blood red stains i had two blades impaled into me and two mysterious blades which i didnt recognize were laying at my side. reks picked me up me and reks did not speak much but we could tell how the other felt by just looking. he was barely able to walk and sadly a just about a year later he vanished.... my only friend gone. i asked the kings permission to seek out where my friend is so the king said try old mt.bur omistace and when i temtped to slay a wyrm in my path through that mountain the fell beast took off with my old long sword i now only had the strange swords that changed with my mood as well as thirst. deep in the mountains i saw a beutiful crystal went to touch it and saw reks within it. he told me to prepare for destiny to come and off it swept me with its power to this realm..... i dont know what reks meant by destiny but i know he wants me to explore so wherever it takes me ill learn of it and should i return to ivalice i shall share my greater knowledge to everyone.
