Alastar is a well grounded individual, the type who prefers function over form and fusses over the details. He likes to be in control and strongly believes that peoples lives are affected more by their own choices than by any outside power or destiny.
Strengths:
Confident - Alastar is very sure of himself, he has little concern about what others think of him and will generally follow his own path. He is certain of his own abilities and knows his own limitations, which he feels makes him less likely to overreach and blunder
Analytical - Without question Alastar values well thought out logic to impulsive or emotional reactions, he likes to plan and organise and never rushes into action without first considering his options and the consequences of his actions.
Honest - Alastar has an unflinching moral compass and refuses to compromise when it comes to doing what is right. While this makes him a trustworthy honest person and his altruistic tendencies help endear him to others; his lack of compromise can cause friction when people try to 'bend the rules' even under the best of intentions. He's the sort who feels bad telling just a white lie.
Loyal - Leading on honest nature, Alastar is a loyal friend. Though slow to let people in, those he does come to consider friend, will always be able to rely on Alastar to be there when they need him.
Athletic - Alastar may not be a natural athlete but he enjoys a number of activities that keep him in great shape. In particular gymnastics and parkour.
Weaknesses:
Stubborn - Perhaps Alastar's greatest personality flaw is his stubbornness. Once he's decided he's right it's near impossible to convince him otherwise and worse his pride means that even when he does realise he's made a mistake he's reluctant to admit it.
Cold - Alastar's tendency to chose his head over his heart means that he often comes across as emotionless or cold, keeping people at a distance. None of this is actually done deliberately he just doesn't pause to consider the emotional consequences of his acts as much as the literal ones.
Naive - Alastar can be naive in a lot of ways. His honesty and good intentions tend to colour his judgement leading him to alway assume the best in others. While his tendency to ignore his heart means he often misses subtle social cues.
Nuts - His one true bane in life; Alastar has an allergy to nuts. While not life threatening, eating any food prepared with nuts give him stomach pains, nausea, hives and in some cases swelling around the face. An episode normally clears up in a few days, though a sever attack could leave him bed ridden.
