Well I am going to be graduating college hopefully next December *finds some wood to knock on*, and since about freshman year I have been thinking about getting a tattoo. It wouldn't just be a tattoo for tattoo's sake, it would have meaning behind it.

My idea was to find a picture of Terra-Ta who was my grandmother's sheltie, and sketch out a head shot of her holding a few flowers in her mouth by the stem. Terra was more like my dog than my grandmothers because when my grandma took me in I was premature and that dog would not leave my side. she would sit under my baby swing and stretch until she could feel my feet brushing against her back. and would lay by my crib when i would be put down for a nap.

She attacked my father one day when he had came down to pick me up, and wouldn't let him go until grandma came down to her room and got the dog off his ankle. She was so spoiled she would run around and follow me I would even share my yogurt with her as i watched Saturday morning cartoons. She was in all sense of the word...my guardian angel/spirit.

She passed away when I was about 5 or 6. but I wanted to get her portrait. The flowers would be my grandma's favorite flowers, because my grandma didn't have to take me in... and she became the mother I needed.

I have decided to get it when I graduate because my grandmother said she would see me get my diploma and she passed away in 2000, when I was still in elementary school, so it would be like she did keep her promise. I would probably get it on my shoulder.

So, feelings on tats in general, have any tats?

Im thinking of getting one of my son's foot print or hand print from when is born. Along with his name above it and his birthday below it. My husband loves tats but since he is in the Navy he has to be careful on what he gets.

I want one, but they're a little too expensive for me to consider right now, even if I remove the cost of getting one designed because I dabble in the trade and would prefer to design my own. And like everyone else, with a meaning behind it. No idea what it would be, though.

I have a fascination with tribal, I do. That's what most of my designs are. That is to say, all of them that I've ever done either for fun or for clients. I've done a small temp one before in Jagua ink on my ankle. But it never turned black since I'm such a pale little half-Asian. xD It looked like a bruise.

Yeah I think if my frist tat gos good, I will get another one and it will deal with music, I'm in the fraternity Mu Beta Psi (National Honorary Musical Fraternity), and I would like something to keep them in my thoughts since they have done so much for me since I joined them. One of my friends got something like the first one (Here), for us, Music is the soul of life.My aunt probably wont be happy if I get one but I don't really listen to her much any more.

That is actually a really awesome tat.

If I DID get a tattoo (I won't for health and religious reasons) it would definitely be a sugar glider.

Good luck Lime! My first tattoo will be a life sized Dwarf Puffer. On my ankle. It will be the start of an anklet of sorts with all of my favorite animals (a russian tortoise, a cat, a betta, a papillon, and MAYBE an octopus ringing them all together). I also want a dark mark on my shoulder, but instead of a normal skull I'm thinking maybe a ram skull for Aries and the snake (which is also my year of birth) is going to be a green anaconda. Possibly going to ask permission to use the likeness of one of the girls at the aq.
