Name: Suinnaq / Michael Ukaliq
Nickname: --
Age: 16
Birthday: February the 13th
Sign: Pisces
Gemstone: Bloodstone
Blood Type: A
Fav. Food: Fish
Hated Food: Overly-processed foodstuffs
School: Hillsworth Grammar School
Hobbies:
People watching - Living his whole life in an isolated community, Michael never had to talk to someone he hadn't known his entire life. Arriving at Destiny City and overwhelmed by a large and diverse population of strangers has ended up with him developing this new pastime, and the activity he falls back on when he has nothing else to do. There are so many weird looking people everywhere! Unfortunately for him, it ends up causing him trouble more than anything, as he tends to stare rather openly. Michael will deny this hobby, as he finds it embarrassing for people to know, but he's pretty awful at covering it up in practice.
Daydreaming - When alone by himself, Michael tends to drop back into the rich fantasy world of his own mind. While he originally tended to imagine life outside his small community, and the glittering world of tomorrow, now he is much more likely to populate his mind with the people he sees on the street around him. This has ended in him imagining large fantastic epics or spy thrillers starring a cast of 'that janitor with the limp' 'the shifty looking kid who i see at lunch' and 'the lady who runs that take-out on the corner'. By the time you first talk to Michael, he might know more about 'you' than you do yourself! Of course, you're probably not really a double agent searching for a death ray.
Carving - A skill passed down to him by his older brother, and to him from his father and grandfather, Michael has been carving soapstone since he was young. Sticking to traditional and simple imagery, he never deviates from the few creatures he was taught how to carve. It's more of a calming repetitive motion habit, and his collection of finished pieces have an almost assembly-line feel to them. Michael doesn't have any great passion for carving, but he does feel comforted by the motions and memories associated with it. He also feels that it is important to keep a part of his heritage alive, and pay respect to the people who are responsible for his very existence.
Urban Exploration - The big city is a source of constant curiosity to Michael, just as much as the people in it. Sure everyone says it's dangerous to go out at night in Destiny City, but well, it's just like any other urban environment, right? And besides, he goes out during the day. On weekends mostly. Michael enjoys finding old buildings that no one else has disturbed, walking around the empty rooms and imagining what kinds of things took place there, and why it was that everyone left. He also finds the silence and peace relaxing, and a nice break from the sometimes overwhelming bustle of cars and people. The one thing that puts him at odds with most other urban explorers is he does not appreciate the graffiti art left by others, and aggressively confronts anyone else he finds in the buildings, believing all other people who lurk in empty buildings to be vagrants, vandals, or criminals.
Virtues:
Resolved - When Michael sets his mind, he never changes it. Swaying him from causes he's decided to take up with is an exercise in futility, as he attaches great importance to sticking with his original decision, and remaining true. This trait makes him a very loyal person, as once he has decided to stand up for or associate with a person or group, he will continue to do so through the gates of hell and back. Michael feels that throughout his childhood, he lost far too much by being uncertain and never taking action, so he is quick to stick to his guns and keep pushing despite any doubts. Seeing others pick up and drop causes as an idle whim frustrates him, and the one way to deeply hurt and shock Michael is to break or back out of a commitment you made to him.
Good Judge - As a side effect from his hobby of people watching, combined with a natural talent of observation, Michael ends up seeing a good deal of peoples hobbies, likes, dislikes, and basic personalities. For example, he's pretty good at judging what the guy who sits two rows ahead in history would enjoy doing, and how he'd react if you threw an eraser at him. He can also usually guess what would send him into a temper, what his more obvious buttons are, and what tasks he find easier or harder to do. This is only for people he sees on a daily basis, but he's much quicker to pick up on these things when he first comes into contact with strangers as well. However, Michael will sometimes whitewash or deny what he sees in people, if it conflicts with his views of humans and human nature, and he does not place very high standards on his own abilities as a judge.
Utopianist - While most people are satisfied with the world they are in, or believe that there is no where left to go but down, there are always those who believe that there are great things in store for the human race. Michael is one of those dreamers, and he feels utopia is just behind the door, if only we can find a way to open it. For him, it is only a matter of time until the right people just take another step up, and from then on the future is bright. Although rather uncertain about what this utopia will contain and how it will come to pass, Michael keeps this belief alive as the fate of humanity, and use it to keep himself buoyant through all his troubles. All he hopes is that he will be around when it finally happens, and that he can contribute in some way to this new world, or even help bring about it's happening.
Earnest - Life is a serious thing for Michael. Always fully involved in things with both his body and soul, he can't understand people who go through life in a half-assed manner. Michael will never waste time working something that he sees as unimportant or frivolous, but instead pushes himself hard and puts himself completely into everything that he believes in or views as worthwhile and important. Serious and devoted to his core, it unsettles and frustrates him when other people laugh off serious subjects. He can't understand how people can joke light-heartedly when there are so many things wrong in the world that they could be helping to solve!
Flaws:
Insecure - Always there nagging in his mind is Michael's feeling of not being good enough, not being worthy, and not being as important as everyone else. If he succeeds at something, it's probably not because he was good enough, but because of some other circumstances he was not aware of, if he fails at something it justifies his assessment of himself. He tries to drown this feeling out by focusing on other people, other places, and anything else other than taking time out to admit to and deal with the thoughts and emotions that cause this feeling. Because of this, Michael will panic over responsibly, constantly underestimate the value of his input, and wallow in his own failure long after everyone else has run out of patience with his self-pity.
Guarded - Though Michael is always taking in and prying into the lives of others, when people try and get to know him personally, he withdraws into himself like some kind of sulky turtle. Not wanting to share with people his life and thoughts, he will become elusive, grumpy or downright violent when pressed about his personal life. This links back to his insecure flaw, a small-town mentality of being suspicious of people who you have not known for years of your life, and a large amount of unwillingness to allow himself be open enough to be emotionally vulnerable. For Michael, his beliefs, hopes, and dreams are very important to him, and the thought of someone else dismissing or worse laughing at them terrifies him enough to give him reoccurring nightmares.
Self-sabotaging - It's subtle, but when things go wrong for him, Michael sometimes seems to be almost satisfied. In his mind, it's almost a certainty that his plans won't work out, and occasionally he'll assist in his own failure in small unobtrusive ways. This is a completely subconscious act on his part, keeping him in the familiarity and comfort of consistency, and relieving him of having to experience the pain and frustration of succeeding at something and having his hopes raised, only to be let down by a later failure. It also shifts the blame of any difficulties in his life away from himself, and to 'fate', validating his lack of effort to improve his situation. While Michael turns a blind eye on this habit, it's painfully obvious to anyone around him what he's doing to himself. However pointing this out tends to put him on the defensive cause him to lash out, believing that he's being nitpicked and insulted for not 'being perfect'.
Fatalist - We have no choice in our future, everything we do is set in stone from the start. Believing this, Michael refuses to asses how things could have been changed or done differently, and takes failures without attempting to fix the situation. This prevents him from learning from his mistakes, and encourages him to repeat them over and over. Combined with his self-sabotaging, this drops Michael in an endless rut of failure in most of the things he tries to do. It also tends to have him dismiss success in himself and other people, ignore encouragement, and basically be a sour-puss downer.
Eyes: Black. Has dark circles under them.
Hair: Pale tan. Wavy and messy, long at the sides and down the back of his neck.
Face: A baby face with eyebrows that are thicker at the inner ends. Usually very serious-looking.
Body: Medium tan skin. Thin, but of average height for his age.

Senshi: Sailor Ijiraq, Parallel Senshi of Null ∅
Challenge: “G-get ready to be nullified.”
Fuku Colour: Main Color: #98807d Secondary Color: #615f5b
working the fuku's design out with LizzyMoo Fuku: Collar -- part of the sweater, traditional sailor scout collar. has one stripe around the edge. Bow -- normal chest bow. has the null symbol ∅ for the clasp of the bow. Bodice -- shirt underneath a open sweater. Bottoms -- too-long pants with large chunks cut out at the knees Shoes -- i suck at drawing this, so just look at the ref instead Accessories -- suspenders worn hanging down and crossed over each other. null symbol buckles maybe
Attacks:
Sailor Scout Attack: Null Ray Ijiraq bunches his hands together and extends the index fingers to form a 'gun', amassing a ball of black rippling energy above them, then fires it off at an enemy in a small ray. When hit, it makes starter level characters unable to use a magical attack/summon their weapon for the next 10 seconds.
Since Ijiraq has to go through specific motions before performing this attack, and has to aim it, it's pretty obvious where he's going to be shooting. Once he starts preparing the attack, he can't stop until he has fired off the ray. After releasing, Ijiraq has no control over the direction of the attack, it merely goes in a straight line in whatever direction he fired it in. Ijiraq can use this 2 times per battle.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Null Wave This attack targets three people. Ijiraq bunches his hands together and extends the index fingers to form a 'gun', amassing a larger ball of black rippling energy above them, then fires it off at an enemy in a large beam. The target hit with the beam is unable to use a magical attack/summon their weapon for the next 20 seconds if they are first or second level characters.
He can use this power 2 times per battle.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Null Pool Ijiraq wraps his arms around himself, then whips them out, releasing a vortex of black rippling energy, which expands to roughly 2x his height on the groud under his feet. Anyone equal to his power level or below who enters this vortex is unable to use any of their powers, isn't harmed by any ongoing effects, and any physical attacks feel like light slaps/pokes.
This attack lasts for 30 seconds or until Ijiraq stops concentrating on it. His concentration can be broken, and if he moves from where he cast the attack, it dissipates. He can use this power once per battle.

Etc: Oh, I'm not from these parts. Michael has lived most of his life in a small village far beyond the treeline, where the only way in or out is by dogsled or helicopter. Although he never discusses his life there, it's clear to see it wasn't much of a success. In a last ditched attempt to get him to stop loosing at life, his parents shipped him down to Hillsworth, having heard about it from a globe-trotting (and rather frowned upon) relative. Being new to the big city, Michael often ends up looking like the, well the hick he is.
A bit nippy out, I guess.. Born and raised in the arctic circle, Michael has an incredible tolerance for cold weather. When other people are hugging a fireplace, he's out enjoying the warmth. However in the summer he is often found face down on the floor, a few inches away from the AC. He has no idea how people can stand the heat.
Cover it up! Michael goes to great lengths to hide his body, wearing over-sized clothes to hide under. Even in the summer, he is never seen without a thick layer or two between him and the elements, which doesn't help his overheating problems. This is a combination of teenager body-angst, his conservative upbringing, and a reaction to seeing people walking in with low-cut, revealing clothes.
Fidgeting - Michael fiddles with whatever he can get his hands on, pulls at stray threads on his clothes, picks at his cuts, scratches himself, chews his nails, and tugs at his hair. There’s always low level movement going on when he‘s around. He finds it’s a good stress and tension reliever, and gets visibly upset and agitated when forced to stop.
Sorry, can you say that again? - Not naturally the brightest bulb in the box, and a bit of an introvert, Michael tends to come off as a little slow and a bit simple. His difficulty keeping up with people in conversations is worsened by the fact that english is not his first language, and that he probably got around 3h of sleep, two nights ago. Don't speak really fast to him, or you're getting a look of blank incomprehension.
Zzzzn - hwuh? - Since he was young, Michael has battled with insomnia. This is mostly due to his refusal to allow himself to think about certain things (himself mostly), causing him to never relax his thoughts, even while in bed. He will furiously focus on whatever he can to distract himself, and counts sheep with such energetic determination that there's no way he's getting any shuteye.
Outfits: Michael's out of school clothes are usually rather plain, old, worn, and ill-fitting. His older brother's hand-me-downs, it is impossible to remove all the scent of barn from them. He never wears socks, and will prefer to go barefoot inside/when it's warm out, as he finds he gets too hot otherwise.
Concept Music: what I listen to when I draw/write about him X) Passion Pit - The Reeling Miike Snow - Cult Logic Nine Inch Nails - In This Twilight Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man Mother Mother - Far In Time Mew - Snow Brigade

things i need to do: move utopianist down to extras, write out something else less internalized to be a virtue. thinking that the world will stop sucking someday isn't exactly a virtue.
make sure flaws are more visible omg michael why do you take so much freaking work :S
switched out to the other sphere idea I had, however i'm still hanging onto the previous sheet if this is given a no-go.
looking for crits and comments on his powers! i'm a little uncertain if the first two are too disjointed from each other.
thank roo his 'two first names' the first is his origional, inuktitut name, the second is the english name he was given, as most inuit are, due to the difficulty other people have with pronouncing and remembering his name.
currently i need to 1) mayb type up his family, oh god so many sisters 2) add more quirks as i remember them ~_~ 3)ajust to make less emo any suggestions for this would be supa supa helpfull as im trying to rework an old character of mine to fit
5)--other things i need to work in-- family has a caribou farm, lived with 5 older sisters 1 older brother, mother, father, and grandfather on her mother's side.
entire massive-a** backstory gonk ---
edit: made things oh so pretty!
--
i added I'm only happy when it rains and combined the two traits that involve loosing/forgetting things, as i felt they were too similar. do people think it clashes with the carpe diem trait? i'm on the fence over if it does.
(other options strays, sadness, calamity, despair)
*Carpe Diem *Easily Cheered - Michael is aware, more than most, that all things pass. Usually when he puts the thing down and can't find it again in an hour. He has learned to grab whatever is going and enjoy it to it’s fullest, before it slips away. If he has at least one reason to be happy, he'll take it. Michael also takes pleasure from things that most people would overlook, as he is always searching for things to enjoy. He may not be someone you want to be near when enough stinky garbage has counteracted the scent of roses, but a nice breeze, a coin in the gutter, and a pretty cloud can usually give Michael a reason to smile and enjoy the day.
*You‘re so cool! *Easily Impressed - Do you have moderate skill in any ability? Are you good looking, organized, brainy, worldly, elegant, or are in any way special? Michael will see you as a winner, a success, a testimony to your own talents and actions. Always comparing himself harshly to everyone else, he views others to be far more talented than they often are, exaggerating positive skill of theirs and raising them up on a podium of success. If you loose the chess tournament, fall off your mountain bike or get a low mark on your assignment, he understands that everyone can make mistakes, (although he drags out and over-exaggerates his own) and that you shouldn't let a setback like that stop you, because you are a winner. And he'll tell you that with the determination that you have the ability to, and can succeed. This sometimes blinds him to the fact that someone may not care for one of their talents, and if he realizes you're wasting or dismissing a gift he'll get very upset. There is no worse crime in his mind than throwing away your potential. Even if he doesn’t like you, he’ll grudgingly admire your talents and wish that they had been given to someone more deserving.
Virtues:
If you need me, I'll be there. Caring - While it's true that Michael is heavily suspicious and distrustful of people at the start, if you become close enough friends with him, and manage to quell his concerns, he will reverse his personality and open up completely to you. Hugging you, smiling at you, and chatting with you happily, it's almost as if Michael becomes a completely different person around close friends. He will stand up for you, try to always be there if you need him, place your worries and problems above his own, and overall make an important place in his life for you. This is because he has finally begun to trust you, and treat you as someone who he doesn't have to be guarded against, and since this is so rare for Michael, he intensely values this friendship. You are very important to him.
I'll see it through! Determined - Although he takes a bit of talking to get into things, once Michael starts putting effort into something, he will give it his all, and do his absolute best to see it through to the end. Even if what he's trying to achieve isn't for the good, he will talk himself into it using circular logic and dismissal of other views. If setbacks occur in what he is trying to do, he will try his hardest to push on and the only way to really shake him off completing what he set out to do is to personally insult Michael or convince him that hes too incompetent to be able to succeed. If he's trying to accomplish something for another person, he is more likely to be able to shake off his doubts until he completes it, but it's still a challenge to get Michael to stop either way.
I think she'd like that. Good Judge - As a side effect from people watching, Michael ends up seeing peoples hobbies, likes, dislikes, and basic personality. For example, he's pretty good at judging what the guy who sits two rows ahead in history would enjoy doing, and how he'd react if you threw an eraser at him. He can also usually guess what would send him into a temper, what his more obvious buttons are, and what tasks he find easier or harder to do. This is only for people he sees on a daily basis, but he's quicker to pick up on these things when he first comes into contact with strangers as well.
Let me lend a hand. Helpful - Always there to take up the slack, Michael is available to lend a hand. He’s had so many situations himself where he’s longed for a little help, so he’s quick to jump to anyone’s aid. Used to doing alot of menial housework, he also feels comfortable helping out as he knows he's good at it. The youngest of a large family that runs a caribou farm up north, he was always given the task of cleaning up the house while everyone else was out in the fields. *An upside to his lack of self-care means that Michael will eagerly take on jobs that most people would consider too dangerous or risky, and will risk himself to help people who are stuck in dangerous situations.
Flaws:
Wait, it's Tuesday? Forgetful - Put politely, Michael has difficulty organizing his life. He's always forgetting things, from the day of the week, to where he just put down his pen, to promises he made, to appointments he should be at right now. Usually he can remember them, if something jogs his memory, but most of the time they're lost down the sides of his memory couch. Physical couches are also his bane, as he misplaces objects with an inevitable certainty. Large or small, important or unimportant, all things given to Michael are at risk of vanishing from the face of the known world, forever. People ask him why he doesn't keep a day planner and write everything out, and his answer is usually simple enough. "I tried, but I kept forgetting it."
I'm only happy when it rains. Self-sabotaging - It's subtle, but when things go wrong for him, Michael sometimes seems to be almost satisfied. Of course his plans won't work out, and sometimes he'll help speed their failure in small unobtrusive ways. This is a subconscious thing, keeping him in the familiarity and comfort of consistency. It also shifts the blame of his uncomfortable life away from himself, and to 'unluckiness', validating his lack of effort to improve his situation. He'll loose the money he was going to buy lunch with because he kept taking it out of his pocket and fiddling with it, instead of leaving it safe and secure, and oh he can't eat lunch today, sigh, same as usual. Michael will deny he does this, and finds the thought ridiculous, he wants to be happy and successful, the same as everyone!
It doesn't matter. Apathetic - Michael is full of frustration at himself, through years of bad luck, misfortune, and lacklustre successes. If he’s left to his own, he’ll go days without bathing, sleeping, or even eating. He’s nowhere near suicidal, but he just can't be bothered to take care of what to himself feels like a lost cause. He neglects his responsibilities, ignores authority, passes by opportunities, and takes ridiculous risks, all due to his dismissal of his own value. This also makes him set a double standard, as he expects far more from other people than from himself, and he doesn't hold himself accountable for anything, because 'what can you expect from someone like me'.
… what do YOU want? Suspicious - People always have ulterior motives, and this fact lurks in the back of Michaels mind. He is horribly suspicious of people's actions, and the more friendly people are to him at first, the more he suspects that they want something from him. He is far more likely to twist and mistrust actions coming from kind people, believing they are just 'pretending' to be friendly. Because of this, Michael often finds himself calmer, and more at home with grumpy, rude or curt people, because he believes that they at least aren't hiding their true feelings from him. After he has decided someone isn't showing him their true face, imaginary suspicions will taint what he hears and what he sees, and he’ll twist their actions and words to justify his paranoia of them. It takes Michael longer to make friends with people, because of this initial hurdle.
Absent Minded - With his mind always crowded with other people and other places, Michael is quite scatterbrained when it comes to the here and now and his own life. Misplacing objects with an alarming regularity, he also tends to forget addresses, numbers, names, and what day it is. This distresses and frustrates him, but with his focus always flitting from other people to the rich fantasy world in his imagination, he stubbornly refuses to give himself enough time to try and fix the unfortunate pattern.
Trustworthy - Always there for his friends, Michael is a conscious constant in their lives. He makes time in his days to assist people he cares for, and is always there if they need him. Even for people who he doesn't know very well, Michael will take his promises very seriously, and try his hardest to keep up his end of any arrangements. If he is unable to keep up with people for whatever reason, he will feel awful about it, as in his mind he sees everything he promises people, no matter how small, as a matter of life or death.

Hiyas amicableAggressor,
As a quick side note there's a senshi of failure so your alternate sphere of bad luck may be seen as too close to that.
Also slight spelling error on his birthday. Should be February
On to crits a few things that came to mind:
Under Hobbies, what else does Michael like to do apart from people watch? A couple more hobbies would help round Michael out as well as give other players ideas for rp interaction.
Under virtues/ flaws, the 'Can I help? It‘s no trouble' and 'He's not such a bad person' virtues kind of clash with how Michael's people-watching hobby is written (in my opinion). On the one hand he's wary of people and seems to observe them in an attempt to judge what they’re likely to say and do if they speak to him, but on the other he's quick to jump to people's defense/ go to their aid.
The '… what do YOU want?' flaw seemed more in fitting with the people-watching hobby but again to me kind of clashed with the 'Can I help? It‘s no trouble' and 'He's not such a bad person' virtues.
Hope it helps some, I'll read through the senshi point at some point and try to leave some crits on that part

i was actually worried that people would say loss was too similar to failure, so i just threw that one in as another option. i can probably take it out, i have enough others. X) yeah i'm trying to think up a few activities for him. he's good at helping out and housework, but he isn't a compulsive cleaner. i want him to change allot during rps,and as he is essentially the 'new kid in town' and i was thinking, could pick up some hobbies from kids down here as he meets them. it's not that he doesn't like things, he's just never been exposed to what most people would do as hobbies. the people watching vs people are good is more the fact that he's got a heavy amount of 'stranger danger'. once he gets to know people he's quick to see their good parts and get along with them, but he has a hard time dealing with people he's never met before. it's supposed to be slightly conflicting, as he's a pretty muddled individual. i guess i'm trying to write them to show that the negative, people-fearing side of him is more reserved for people he hasn't met, or doesn't know very well, and the positive, trusting side is for people who he considers friends, and has gotten to know. i was hoping it wouldn't be so confusing, i'll try tweaking the words more to differentiate between friend/stranger. edit edit: depr also, he is aware that he tends to overreact in his suspicions of others. a part of his eagerness to help people and cheer them on is due to the fact that he feels that it's wrong for the nasty thoughts about others he has to affect him so much, so he's going out of his way to try and make up for it. sweatdrop if any of this makes sense tl;dr im rambling and need to find a way to make all of this short, and work it into the profile. ; __ ; thanks you very much! smile

I liked the profile~ i had an almost clear vision for him~
aside from one thing that i am horribly confused about ;;
"he's not such a bad person" contradicts" … what do YOU want?" as far as i can see? :0
He tries to find the good in everyone, yet he's horribly suspicious of people? As you find the good in somebody, I really don't imagine that you'll be thinking they'll have ulterior motives. In fact, i believe it would quite the opposite! He would be trying to convince himself that they have none at all! if he wants to point out their positive points, he cetainly won't be thinking about how bad they are or what they'd like to do for him. i'm not sure if i can explain this right rofl D:
In my opinion, this is as controversial as he's "nice" but also "mean"
a person cannot be both! so i'd honestly advise you to fix or take out that flaw completely? since the virtue definitely ties better into his personality~
and his hobbies -- it would be nicer if they included something materialistic or otherwise? <3 people-watching ties in well, but it doesn't give other people much room to play with your characters? (since i know most people tend to look at hobbies to see if their characters would be doing something similar to yours)
maybe like reading books, watching videos, etc? i'd imagine that he'd fill up something with his free time~

i can't seem to get across what i'm trying to convey with those two contradicting personality quirks, so i'll try and figure something out for the 'not such a bad person', sweatdrop as for the hobby thing, he really did have no free time before he came to the city, helping his parents on the farm took up every moment of the day. I want him to have more hobbies, and i was thinking he could gain some from hanging out and meeting people through actual roleplays. surprised thanks for the crit!

I think you could take his side hobby of making up stories about people he watches and put that in the form? <3 There's no space in competition entry forms for things like your quirks section so whatever you can fit in from there should be moved up * n*... but I definitely think his coming up with ridiculous fantasy stories should go up there, it's pretty cute <3 You can mention his large family and unique circumstances up in his helpful virtue too <3

I was planning but actually got discouraged by the fact that i can't think of a one or two word description for it XD story-teller won't work as he never tells people he's imagining them in a tuxedo jumping out of an exploding window. make-believe makes it seem like he's putting himself in the stories, or acting it out with dolls to me :<< ah! i was wondering where i could fit his family in, but putting them under that virtue works perfectly, thanks!

Hmm... well, maybe extrapolate a little more? What does he do with these stories? does he keep them in a journal or write them down? You might make it a journaling hobby, maybe?
Or else titling it with something more than two words, there's no length limit on hobby descriptions <3 For instance, I have "Running up her cell phone bill" as a hobby for my character Sailor Gunn. Someone had something along the lines of "Destroying the usurper and restoring herself to her rightful place" as a title--so as you can see, it's okay if you put it in there as "Coming up with stories about people he sees". =)!
I hope this has been helpful <3

oh god he'd never write them down, imagine if someone found the book gonk i guess the short words is an aesthetic choice for me, but i think i figured out a word that will work biggrin
it has, thank you!

i added I'm only happy when it rains and combined the two traits that involve loosing/forgetting things, as i felt they were too similar. do people think it clashes with the carpe diem trait? i'm on the fence over if it does.

yaaaay o v o gonna crit :U
person:
for his people watching habit, i can imagine that a staring kid would be pointed out at some point. what does he do when he's notice? does he panic? does he act cool about it? and what about if the person moves or leaves .... will he follow them? there's a very thin line between stalking and people watching xD
for ??? i would perhaps call it ... well just as it is: trying to fit in. or trying new things? i think it makes sense, but does he ever hear rumors of things like "oh it's that kid who just trying out for everything. he doesn't really want to join, he just wants to fit in." ? does it deter him ? does he even notice it because he's daydreaming ?
easily cheered is a lot like talia's "endurance" (which i had to edit for this reason)- many people pointed out to me that she couldn't possible be energetic and enduring every day. in the same way, even if michael is easily cheered, doesn't he have bad days? what if that shiny coin is surrounded by a pile of garbage and mud?
as for his "cheerleader" trait (oh gosh ... michael in a cheerleading skirt xDD) what happens if a friend/enemy is doing something he doesn't necessarily like? for example, a friend wants to travel out of the country, but michael doesn't really think they're capable of doing so because the friend gets homesick really easily. will he still cheer her on? basically; what happens if there is a conflict with his morals and his encouraging attitude?
his good judgement compliments his people watching really well i think. kudos o 3o
as for his helpfulness, again, what happens if there is conflict? a friend wants to go out with him to the amusement park, but mommy dearest says he has to clean the whole house (hypothetical, of course). does he shirk the responsibility he's been given, or will he willingly help out?
poor michael. im getting him a couch for his birthday xDDD
as someone else pointed out (i think ... ?) how is it that he's unapathetic towards himself, but completely apathetic towards others? especially with how perceptive he is because of of his people watching, i would think he'd notice he himself is failing rather quickly.
also, as someone said (again, i think ... ?) how can he be both suspicious and helpful? if someone said, "lift this box for me" wouldn't he be conflicted between lifting it because he's helpful, and not lifting it because he's afraid they've put a prank inside of it? of course, this could be a fun contradiction, but i dont know how well it would work in some situations. just something to think about.
also; out of simple curiousity- where did the scar come from?
senshi:
couldn't help you with the constellation planet name, im afraid. i know little to nothing about astronomy D:
am DIIIIIIIGGING his fuku. ohmg. too cute. o Ao the only comment i would make is to somehow incorporate loss? dunno how you would do that, but it would be my only suggestion. without it, i still think the fuku is adorableeee. OTL
the only real qualm that i have with him is his eternal attack. while i loooove what you've done with it, i don't exactly think its fair to take away their most precious memories. i dunno about everyone, but i dont exactly want my characters losing something they hold dear permanently, like the memory of their mother dying or something. while i get the whole "loss" aspect, i think its just a bit too much. unless you're implying that they do remember after a day or so, because then i think its okay. just as long as it returns and isn't lost permanently.
what i mean to say is that, yes, i dont care if my character can't remember what breakfast is. that's a reasonable thing to lose. but losing the memory of their families and loved ones, i think that's just a bit too much.
HOWEVER, like i said, i only think its unfair if they lose it permanently. temporarily would be fine, IMO.
of course, i couldn't tell you what's fair and what's not. grain of salt and what not. xD
other than that, i think you have an awesome character in the works. just tell him t' get more sleep for me >:T

starting off at the bottom, and working my way upwards, to be most confusing! rofl
i'll tell him to sleep ... with this bottle of chloroform, and um ... sleepy time blanket!
YES it is only temporary, i'm not going to be that horrible to people. gonk but it is something that is supposed to shake them up, and make them really feel like they're missing something important for a while.
and yea i've been going nuts searching for a good name for him, but i don't really know any good keyword phrases to look for on google.
-
um, his scar was probably gotten in a really lame way, he probably wanted to try helping outside and nearly speared himself with a pitchfork or something rofl since he's an old character reworked, i'm keeping his same design. (scars included) in his older story he was supa supa emo and unlucky and got the scar from a crazy ex going at him with a broken bottle sad
umm, it's less that he's terrified of interacting with people because he thinks they're going to do terrible things to him, as he thinks they never tell him their true motives for their actions. like if someone hangs around him and is generally friendly and nice, waving at him in the halls and etc, he'll start imagining that they want to have him around to take the blame for something, or are just pretending to be friendly and are laughing at him behind his back. it's less a WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME TO HOLD THIS BOOK IS IT GOING TO EXPLODE and more WHY ARE YOU HANGING OUT WITH ME DO YOU JUST WANT SOMEONE TO CARRY YOUR BAG?
the apathy towards yourself and aware of other people is actually a common problem with people who have self-issues and don't want to deal with them. they instead try and focus on other people, putting themselves in the background and replacing thoughts about their own problems with thoughts of other people. X)
cheerleader is more focused directly on the talent the person has that he admires. so if someone has say a guitar hobby, but they can just about play stairway to heaven and that's about it, he'll think OMG U PLAY SO GOOD ARE YOU IN A BAND O__O;; rather than OMG YOU ARE A GOD EVERYTHING YOU DO IS AWESOME!!!! A OK!! i think he'd rather cut off an arm than wear a skirt again gonk
yeah, michaels default day is a 'half empty' day, so the 'easily cheered' is more that the things he see that cheers him are picking him out of a gloomy mood. also, even if he did see a pretty flower, a truck going by and spraying him with muddy water will override the scent. it doesn't make him feel ecstatic, just good.
ah, trying to fit in works! and oh ******** yeah hearing that might cut him short in his quest, and make him withdraw from his fellow peers entirely. let's hope no one says that in earshot of him XD
if he's noticed, and confronted he'll definitely panic, bluster, deny it and rush off. no he won't follow people, he's not thaaat obsessed with watching them
yaaay! i'll add some of this stuff to the posts, thank youu!
