Portland State's Fifth Avenue Cinema is running Akira Kurosawa's High and Low, a great crime drama that is also a reflection on status and morality and good and evil, made even more poignant in delivery by masterful actor Toshiro Mifune playing the leading role. Forget Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon, Death Note and Naruto — this is the height of Japanese storytelling and cinematography, by the country's best and most famous director.
Showtimes are...
Friday (Dec. 3): 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM Saturday (Dec. 4): 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM Sunday (Dec. 5): 3:00 PM
If you're interested in going, please vote above and also include your preferred time. The movie is almost two-and-a-half hours long, so bring something to eat and drink or bring a bit of money — the popcorn's free, fortunately. If you have any kind of student ID bring it because the movie's only $2 for you if you do, and free if your student ID is from Portland State; general admission is $3.

It's only been a couple days. Give it time, this guild is fairly slow. Heck, it took around a month for my TRON thread to get some serious replies. Just need to have some patience.
But yeah, it sounds interesting. I might be interested in going. Looks like it would be free for me... I'm a PSU student... smile

It sounds interesting, I would love to go if I could. At the moment I don't know what will be going on during that weekend so I'm not going to say YES I can come for sure, but I'll try my best. And the time I go see it doesn't matter, anytime would be ok

Time and date doesn't really matter. As long as it's not on Wednesday's or anywhere around 3 on Fridays. XD
