-- Rice Country Flatlands --
The Flatlands are generally considered to have one foot in the Otogakure and one foot in the Rice Country itself. If the Lowlands are the gates of the Otogakure, the Flatlands are the borderlines which separate it from the rest of the Rice Country. Most, if not all of the residents which tend the rice paddies here are civilians, but a few are retired ninja of the Otogakure, or even a select few operatives who may act as an early warning system. Either way, as the border between the Rice Country and the Otogakure, this area sees lots of visitors from all over, who must pass through these fields (or at least the wide pathways on the fringe of the rice paddies).

 Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Finally reaching the vast open rice fields of the flat Lands, Kye could see her journey across the Rice Country come to an end. With the Otogakure more or less behind her, she turned around to look back at her homeland with pride. At no point during her journey could anyone have guessed that they had the number of operatives they did planted in the fields, and more then that, anyone would be hard pressed to pinpoint the Otogakure itself. the very fact that it had taken her about half the day even just to traverse this distance was a safety precaution for her land in the first place.
Turning back to her destination, Kye then passed from the Flatlands on her way to the pathway which would take her to Konoha, and her first of what would hopefully be five successful visits to the other villages.

Taki had led the boy through the trees at a moderate pace, sure to keep them high, and out of sight of any other villagers who may have been there. "Okay, we are almost there," Taki would have spoken for the first time in about ten minutes. He had spoken only to ask Tensa how he was, but other than that the man continued in a clear silence. He came to an abrupt halt, signaling for Tensa to stop as well, and he droped down to the ground. "These are, for all intents, the Flatlands of Kariko. We are going to begin our work here, but first.." he trailed off reaching into his pocket. In a comical, clearly entertaining way, he pulled the necessary tools out and handed one to Tensa. It was a simple basket, and inside it were numerous plants wrapped together. He motioned for him to follow and began planting rice in the fields here. "Well, it's your mission get to work!" he called back having already made decent progress. The mud was as murky as ever, making walking slightly difficult. But Taki was used to it. He did this fairly often, on his patrols of the village. He planted them with perfect space in between, and in clean rows. Tensa would need to follow his example to a T in order for the rice to grow properly. As the winds blew, Occasionally Taki rose and took in long, heavy breaths. He so enjoyed the smells, and the scenery was breathtaking. The perfect rows of rice, the chatter of other farmers/ninja, even the merchants with their heavy packs seemed to uplift him. But Jin shared no such feelings. He saw this as boring work, boring work for the weak. He longed to be out in the world, with his brother and of course new student, getting stronger, learning about all the different styles and practitioners. It was a little ofsetting for him to be here, but he kept quiet as always.

The genin walked behind his teacher for a while until he had reached the area, ignoring what he had told him, it's not like this was his first time there. The genin looked at the patches of grass, which where covered by mud and water, and he then looked at Taki, whom was offering him a basket. " You suck you know... You could at least help." The genin told his teacher as he sighed and took a step forward toward a patch of rice. He stood on the pathway that separates each one foot square form the other, getting his pants dirty with mud and he bent down and began to pick up the rice and placing it on the basket.
{Post 1/5 }
After finishing with the first square of rice he turned the upper half of his body to the patch that was beside it. Letting go of a sigh he slowly moved his hands and slowly began to pluck the rice from the (wheat?) that was planted on the watery patch. He continued to pluck the rice from the patch. " This is eternal..." He muttered as he got up and headed toward another patch, he kneeled down in the middle of the pathway that kept him out of the mud.

((Actually that was post number one for yo. We're doing it together.))
As the two planted the rice in the water, He watched Tensa pick the rice from the water with a little interest as he continued his work. Taki had planted almost all of the plants in his basket, and had began to pick his own crops. He had some rice that was ripe for picking nearby, so he went over to harvest. WHile on the way, he passed another ninja. As the two walked past there was literally no acknowledgment to be seen. The farmer in disguise simply continued as Taki harvested the crops. ((4/5 you finish up and we'll go get Mon.))

Tsubasa Deido |Academy Student| Otogakure| Ninjutsu Specialist | Chakra Control | Summoning Specialist | Tsubasa had exited form the dojo. He had nothing better to do, so he went down to the rice fields to help. Might as well help out people in the country as well as protect them. Now that he had some tools to fight with, in the form of the Great Pulse Fist, it was time to focus on working. He went over to the field of a resident farmer that Tsubasa was good friends with, and helped him plant his rice. He had done it so many times, Tsubasa was planting the rice with masterful precision.

Tenza sighed as his basket was already half full, after collecting three feet worth of rice one would think the basket would be much fuller. The genin looked toward his teacher, whom was apparently helping out and couldn't help but to smile. ' At least he's doing something...' He thought as he turned and continued with the mission, picking multiple pieces of rice at once, he got to close to the edge and fell on to the patch, ruining a plant along with getting the rest of his clothing wet and dirty.

Finishing off his bit of work, he turned and saw that Tensa had fallen. Jin laughed a little on the inside, but Taki simply sighed. He walked over and lifted him with one hand. "I am proud. You have completed your first mission. Take the harvest to the farm hand over there, and the report to Nomiya and tell him we are finished," he said pointing southward. He caught sight of another new disciple of the school, and trudged through the mud over to him. Once he had made it, Jin and Taki onced him over, sizing him up and determining a lot in one single second. He was a hard worker, and one who did this fairly often. That indicated consistency, as well as a possible sense of duty. He also appeared to have made it through the training rather unharmed. Taki would never know how many times the master wanted to crush him, but either way, he continued to gather information based on a first impression the boy had never made. Jin seemed to register the same things, as well as accept them at the same time. As the breeze flew he placed a hand on his shoulder, and took some rice off his hands to lighten the load. He would work in silence for a second alongside him, seeing the high percision at which he was planting them. His work, and attention to detail, was almost better than his own! "YOu do good work. Better than I have seen in a long time. My name is... Jin hatsu," he semi lied. "Come with me to the dojo. I wish to show you something." Weather or not he decided to come, Taki stood up and began to walk away.

Tsubasa Deido |Academy Student| Otogakure| Ninjutsu Specialist | Chakra Control | Summoning Specialist | Tsubasa was surprised as the man put his hand on his shoulder. But it was okay, he liked to be helped out. This man seemed much older than him. And much more powerful. He would guess he was a Shinobi, but you never knew in Otogakure. Tsubasa smiled at the compliment. At the though of learning something new, Tsubasa finished his planting, and slowly got up, followign the man. he felt that he could learn some powerful tehcniques from Jin. Also, that boy from the dojo was there. Were they together? That must mean that the man infront of him was a shinobi.

  Nomiya Yasashii Otogakure | Crystal | Jounin Bomber { Sealing } Combo Kariko | Alcohol | Bartender Support { Information } Contact ~
Finally reaching the flatlands, Yasashii sighed, leaning back in his seat and reclaiming his notes from Kye, as she seemed to have finished with them. He loved his country as much as anyone, but he occasionally wished it wasn't quite so... Large. It took about twice as long to get from Kariko to the rest of the world as it did to go pretty much anywhere else in the world. It was partially due to the cart and the lack of actual roads in the country, but still... It was long, and he was becoming eager to see the end of this journey.

  Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Noting Yasashi's sigh, Kye was partially disturbed from her thoughts and her view of the setting sun, as she shifted her vision to her pereferral, noting that he had leaned back... obviously somewhat bored with the travel."Traveling like ninja would surely be quicker, but it's just another one of the sacrifices we make for the safety and security of our village and it's people. We're almost to the flatlands. Why don't you take a rest and I'll guide the wagon through the Flatlands. then, by the time you wake up, we will be through them and you can guide the wagon through the Forest Road. I know we have guards, but at least one of us should be awake while we travel... it's the safer choice. What do you say?"
Kye didn't really mind staying up through the night, she would enjoy the time to think alone anyway. She was used to traveling by herself and she had done it her entire life. She found that with her conditioning and all the training she had subjected herself to, she could go for two days without the need for any rest so long as she kept her mind active and her senses focused on her surroundings. She would be able to take a night shift with no difficulty at all, and it seemed like it would help Yasa to pass the time until a less familiar, perhaps more exciting scenery presented itself. Maybe he'd even get lucky and they'd get jumped by bandits. The thought was a strange one for travelers to have, but at the very least, such a thing would offer him some form of amusement.
