Ki Ryū no Hōkō
(Cry of the Yellow Dragon)

Who owns the weapon: Oniwa Kye

Where it was found/Who made it: the weapon was presented to her by the former Raikage, though it's origin is unknown. It was however known to be in his possession for many years.

The Range of the weapon: The weapon itself is a large spear, about 6 feet in length, which make's it's effective range about 5-8 feet away from the user.

Weakness: Continued use of this weapon for long periods of time can be very chakra intensive, and more then that, after 3 rounds of constant use (invoking the Raiton element through the weapon), the user, no matter how well they are trained to resist electrical charges will begin to experience electrical burns in their arms, which will eventually disable them for a short period of time.

Description: Just about 6 feet long all on it's own, Ki Ryū no Hōkō is a fearsome looking weapon which bears within it some incredible powers. Composed of specially treated silver which has been reinforced to make it capable of use in battle, this weapon is surprisingly light, though that is due to the fact that it is hollow inside. There are seven individual sections to the staff all of which interlock and are held together by powerful magnetic forces which the staff itself generates. combined with Kye's own abilities, these features make this staff the perfect weapon for her as a Satetsu wielder.

The spear end of the weapon is almost a foot long in itself and is composed of a silver alloy, making it both strong and highly electrically conductive. This head attaches to the body of the weapon by a magnetic force which holds the entire weapon together. However, with the right influx of chakra, properly manipulated, the user is capable of breaking these connections, separating the different sections of the staff, but linking together with pure streams of electrical chakra, creating a sort of spear-headed, lightning chain. This ability can extend the length of the weapon to a total of about 45 feet, allowing it to attack at extreme distance and even coil around it's foes to both restrain and pacify them with electrical shocks.

Additionally, Kye has filled the weapon with Iron sand which she is easily able to control and manipulate within the weapon, allowing her to control the spear even while she is not holding it. this makes the spear INCREDIBLY heavy to anyone except her, who is able to simply levitate the iron sand within the weapon and thus bear the weight of it in her hand, or on her back. Even more then that, when the staff's sections are broken, each section is small enough to be completely controlled by Kai's magnetic abilities. This allows her to control their movements and even reshape the iron sand within each section of the staff to form sharp weapons and daggers on any side of the otherwise hollow metal sections, making it even more deadly.

Special Abilities:

Denkou-kusari (Lightning Chain) - Channeling lightning chakra through the weapon causes the magnetic forces of the weapon itself to destabilize the sections of the staff, breaking them apart, but connecting each one in a chain by a 5 foot long stream of lightning between them (there will be 8 chains of electricity in all, one for each silver ring on the staff, and one for the bladed spear head itself). With Kye's ability to control metal, this creates a completely maneuverable lightning chain with the incredible range of about 45 feet. The lightning itself, if it makes contact with an enemy will deliver heavy shocks to the area struck and could possibly disable, or twitch out any limb or body part it touches. If used to wrap around a foe, the shocks are delivered every 10 seconds, completely subduing the opponent, paralyzing them for at least a post even after they are released.

Satetsu Saishū-tekina kōi (Iron Sand: Final Act) - A one handed jutsu, this maneuver requires the victim to be paralyzed, or entangled by the lightning chain to work. Lifting the end of the chain in her hand, Kye releases it as it slowly floats up into the air, allowing her to perform the necessarily hand seals. Depending on the number of sections she wishes to manipulate, the lightning strands between the sections vanish, releasing the Iron Sand filled staff section into the air as they begin to rise into the air slowly. As they rise and levitate in the air above the victim, the Iron Sand flows out of the manipulated sections and begins to form into a sharpened spike. With the sections levitating above the user and the spikes formed, Kye needs only to perform one last hand seal to plunge the spikes down into her helpless victims.
(Activation Cost: 3 chakra points ... and 1 extra chakra point for each section of the weapon which has the iron sand formed into a weapon. This technique is only one example of what can be done with iron Sand manipulation. Regardless of how the sand is formed however, it costs 3 chakra points to activate and an additional chakra point per section of sand molded)

Rairyu Bakuhatsu (Lightning Dragon Blast) - When the weapon is extended using the Lightning Chain ability, the user is able to push even more chakra through the weapon to produce a burst of chakra as a projectile attack from the spearhead of the weapon. when activated, the exerted chakra travels up through the weapon, down the chain in a noticeable ball of energy, eventually culminating and gathering at the head of the spear. At this point, the energy itself is manipulated into the shape of a roaring dragon's head as an energy ball of pure lightning chakra is released towards it's foe. The ball of energy is only about 2 feet in diameter, and the path it travels towards it's opponent may be rather erratic, but it travels at lightning speed and packs a hell of a punch. Any opponent struck by this blast will experience severe burns across the area hit and will most likely result in complete paralysis for 2 posts. (Paralysis applies to the area struck, but if struck solidly on the torso, or the head, it will result in complete body paralysis.)

Denkou Taihou (Lightning Cannon) - Only available when the staff is fully intact (not extended by the Lightning Chain ability), this is the weapon's ultimate attack. charging up a massive amount of chakra into the weapon, the entire weapon begins to glow as the chakra begins to form into the shape of a massive dragon's head in front of the user. Opening it's gaping maw, the chakra is suddenly released in a massive 15 foot wide, 7 foot tall stream of electrical energy which travels forward at incredible speeds up to a maximum distance of about 150 feet. God help the poor sole stuck in the wake of this attack as it will incinerate and destroy nearly anything caught within it's beam. The attack is so strong in fact that it prohibits the user from utilizing any ninjutsu for the next 5 posts.

Rp Sample:

Walking back from a diplomatic mission to the Iwagakure, Kye was wearing her typical disguise, long robes designed to make her appear to be a formal diplomat. The only sign that she could possibly be anything other then who she said she was happened to be the spear hanging off of her back by a large gold rope. as she walked, Kye was satisfied with the way things had gone, but then sensed several approaching figures. Looking around calmly, she saw nothing, but could feel them clearly in the area... "Hmmmph, Assassins."

Calmly continuing on her way, she could feel the assassins following her until she came to a remote area and stopped, lifting up her water canister to get a drink of water. As expected, one of the assassins took the bait and emerged from the shadows to strike at her. Having fully expected it however, Kye dropped her water canister and tore Ki Ryū no Hōkō from it's position, slashing the weapon at it's full range, cutting across the assassin's chest when he was at least 5 feet away from coming anywhere near striking him. Pointing the spear threateningly at the man while also keeping him at distance, Kye's eyes were calm, but fierce... "If you value your existence, I suggest you leave quickly. You had your one chance, you are no match for me out in the open."

The weight of the spear was nothing to her as she held it pointing at her foe, but in reality it would have weighed almost 200 pounds given that the inside was filled with Iron Sand. Staring menacingly at the assassin, she wondered and hoped that perhaps her threat might have been heard by all, but alas, blood would be shed tonight as three more assassins arrived from the shadows, bent on killing the foreign diplomat. without losing a beat however, Kye swung Ki Ryū no Hōkō to the side as she channeled her lightning-based chakra into the weapon, the weapon picking up the charge immediately with it's unique construction as electricity began to surge through the weapon and depolarize it.

"Denkou-kusari" the words were calmly spoke, but the spear furiously struck out at her foes as the staff's sections broke apart, each section jumping further away from it's adjacent section, a stream of electricity 5 feet long forming between each broken section to form an impressively long Lightning chain which snaked around Kye. With precision movement and expert control, the chain struck all three of the assassin's mid-flight, knocking them all back and paralyzing the areas struck as the assassins were forced to recover for a few seconds. the staff sections continued to float in the air as the currents of electricity flowed with energy, holding everything together in suspense as the chain began to snake and coil around Kye, creating a defensive perimeter.

"What did I tell you boys?... what kind of foreign diplomat carries such a weapon. We would have killed an average ninja in seconds flat... I knew she wasn't a true diplomat." Kye's eyes were cold but fierce as they pierced the man's arrogant look. Without waiting for the man to say anymore, Kye moved her arm, the lightning chain whipping around her before flying out towards the head assassin. Dodging the wide attack easily, the assassin laughed as the electrical chains passed by, missing him only by inches as he began to prepare an attack. Kye was no fool however as she simply pushed chakra through the weapon, activating the head of the spear as it suddenly whipped around at an angle the assassin would never have guessed was possible.

"Rairyu Bakuhatsu", the chakra surged to the spearhead, gathering in intensity quickly before the shape of a dragon's head emerged from the chakra build-up, opening it's mouth as a blast of lightning flew out of it, the blast flying erratically towards Kye's foe, but still striking him directly in the chest. the man was sent flying backwards to the ground, striking it hard and tumbling, unable to move his body at all to soften the blow as he was completely paralyzed. Extending the weapon again, Kye manipulated the sections to wrap around the man, the lightning chaisn pulsing electricity into his body, causing him to scream out in pain every 10 seconds as his body was permanently paralyzed within the weapon's grasp. Lifting him up into the air by manipulating the iron sand inside to levitate the staff sections and the body, Kye dangled the assassin's leaders in from of them.

"Take a good look and remember this. when you plan to kill someone, know who they are before attempting it, or the mistake could be fatal." Feeling a sudden surge of pain through her arm, telling her she was holding the staff too long, Kye released it from her hand as the bottom section began to float in the air, rising up above the man before the lightning chain suddenly snapped off from it and three other segments, as all of them were controlled to rise into the air jsut above the head assassin. With nothing but a cold lack of emotion, Kye held the sections there as black granules of iron Sand began to flow out of the sections menacingly as they began to take shape. "Satetsu Saishū-tekina kōi"

The man still held in the air by 4 sections and 20 feet of electrical chaisn paralyzing him, he watched in horror as the Iron Sand formed into sharp spikes, each one gleaming in the sun for a second before plunging downward into the man's body, two in his neck, another in his heart and the forth through his skull, killing him instantly. the snake-like lightning chain released him immediately, dropping his lifeless body to the ground as the iron sand crept back into the sections of the staff and fell to the ground. The assassin's minions had been paralyzed both in fear and by way of being struck by the lightning chain for all this time, but then, in a rage ran forward to avenge their master.

"Hmmph..." Kye scoffed at the flagrant waste of effort, but began gathering her chakra as the the sections of the staff were reactivated and polarized again. Each section then whipped through the air as if attracted by a super magnet, each section snapping into line precisely as the entire staff was reformed in a mere second or two before Kye braced herself and allowed her amassed chakra to flow into the weapon, the entire spear glowing with a bright bluish-white light. " Ki Ryū no Hōkō: Denkou Taihou!" With her call to the weapon, the amassed chakra took form, leaping off the blade in the shape of a great Dragon's maw which opened wide and roared at the incoming attackers.

Had the assassins even had a chance to move, it wouldn't have mattered before the massive chakra blast flew out from the dragon's maw which was the weapon incarnate, the beam flowing from Kye and the spear as they both shined with bright energy which flowed into the attack forming the massive 10 foot wide, 7 foot high chakra blast which utterly engulfed the attackers, the destructive beam shooting outward for an additional 150 feet beyond them as it tore up the land and sent out a massive shock wave as it did so. when the dust finally settled, only a few lingering strands of crackling energy were left in the wake of the Lightning Cannon's blast as the bodies of the assassins were all completely incinerated.

breathing heavily from the use of the weapon's power, Kye's arm burned with residual energy, lightning surging through it as it disturbed her chakra and left her without the ability to mold it for several minutes. it mattered not though as she attached the weapon back onto it's golden rope and slung it over her back, turning her back to the scene of utter wreckage and began to casually walk back to her village.

@SixPaths: DENIED. I'm not in the business of giving out weapons that simply boost your abilities for basically no reason. What's more, is that we don't allow weapons that channel and store chakra like that. You don't even seem to bother telling me how long the effect lasts, you just say that it doubles your power in general. I cannot in all good conscience give anyone a weapon like this. Sorry.

@Cobra: The only part of this weapon which irks me in any way is that you're able to use iron sand to create more weapons and daggers on any side of the metal sections. If anything, that should be a jutsu in itself all things considered. Granted I wouldn't say it would cost anything ridiculous, but it definitely doesn't seem like something that should just go noted without a chakra cost, even if I am to assume you are planning on having the iron sand bloodline. And yes, I require an rp sample. Despite it seeming arbitrary, it is a rule of this guild. One which I along with the rest of the crew have obliged to at all times despite knowing each other well enough to know that we're all competent enough to submit proper applications, even without the sample. I'm not asking you to 'prove' yourself, I'm just asking you to follow the rules so that members do so as well. I hope you understand 3nodding

@Golden: I'm going to need you to give all those abilities a chakra cost. Not only that, but it should be noted that water manipulation should cost you the normal amount of chakra points in its initial release to control the weapon. Finally, I'm going to need you to put together ONE RP sample that just goes over everything as a whole in one thorough fight, as opposed to splitting the sample up into different segments.
