 Welcome! To DIVINATION! At Hogwarts biggrin ivination is the art of predicting the future. Various methods are described, including tea leaves, fire omens, crystal balls, palmistry, cartomancy (including the reading of conventional playing cards and the tarot), astrology, and dream interpretations. Divination is described by Professor McGonagall as "one of the most imprecise branches of magic".Supporters of the subject claim that it is an inexact science that requires innate gifts like the "Inner Eye". Those opposed claim that the subject is irrelevant and fraudulent. Harry is first taught Divination by Professor Trelawney, and then later by Firenze after Trelawney is sacked by Dolores Umbridge in Harry's fifth year. In the sixth (and presumably seventh) year, Firenze and Professor Trelawney teach Divination. I am your teacher, Professor Lilium Olivia Kain, but I really would like it if you just called me Miss Lili. Calling me Professor Kain sounds a bit awkward to me. Anyway, a little more about me, I am in the central time zone, so I don't think there'll be a time problem with a lot of you. I do have some knowledge with tarot and foresight. ((Not to mention, I do some of this practice over here in real life land)) I will do my best to be online as much as possible, but with my mental condition, sometimes I may be online but I am not always "there" or I'm afk because my fiancee wants me with him. Don't be afraid to send me a PM if you have questions or need to give me a poke. Sometimes I'm not always aware of replies, but like I said, I will do my best.

✔ I don't really give out homework, but I do encourage extra work/research that will give you +20points. After all, you need to be able to become self-motivators.
✔ Any inappropriate behavior with cause you to lose points
✔ Not showing up for class will cause you to lose points as well
✔ Even if you are unable to make it sometime 3-7 and I saw you posted sometime that day, I will give you 10points for at least being active

"I see I got some early birds. Das ist sehr gut. This class doesn't officially start till tomorrow. You are welcome to hang out and introduce yourselves to one another. Though I'm not asking for everyone to be friends, I do expect everyone to at least get along, but I'm sure we won't have that problem. I still have a few students to contact who have neglected to PM me. If any of the other students in this class are in your house, tell them to pay attention to the notices I post above the class notices. I am going to add a new rule, so please pay attention to any class changes."
