The Migration to Theia

It has been a great while since any have spoken the name Aerithe. Even longer since any have even settled their minds upon the manner in which it had fallen. But fall it did, the wold collapsing, doomed to a cease of existence within a vast universe filled with other lands and other gods and goddesses. It was to these that the falling world sought assistance, the cataclysm in which brought a hail of flame and a torrent of ice over the shaking lands.

The goddess, her powers focused upon the sleep of her children, reached out, calling her right arm to her side. She knew this disaster, something unseen by any and sudden in appearance, was not to be stopped by her hands, nor the hands of her unmoving kin. So, to Ajanta, she gave a single gift with the power she could spare. A gift to settle upon the land, showing to those that lived upon the creation, whom looked to the skies now blocked by cloud and smoke, by hail and storm.

To Aerithe she went, settling to the land and calling to the inhabitants, spreading the limited gift of motion to those that could contain it, and leaving with them following, unknowing of what might come to their path as they left the falling world behind, taking strength that was offered as they moved throughout the lands that had never before been seen with their eyes. Fear drove their hooves, fueled each step, each look to the severed right arm before them, some casting glances behind at the world that shrank behind them, once seen as a beautiful place, but was quickly falling as it crumbled.

None were watching when the goddess herself fell with her land, using herself to ease the pain of her land, tears falling as she brought her children with her, leaving only a bright star in the sky to remember what had once been.

Ajanta continued with the creations, their joint travel wearing away the magic they had been given. Each step that settled down brought them to their knees, making them halt as the progress became too great a challenge. It was then that a light was seen, a possible ray of hope that brought the keeper of the last knowledge of Aerithe to her feet, urging the last of the fallen land to follow her just a bit longer, to just reach that light in the distance.

As it was with the light, they knew not who or what it was. Sol she called herself, pressing warmth into those who were before her, giving them just enough strength to come to the land that was made by her daughter, offering rest, solace, and life to those who had lost it all.

Ajanta brought the Kirin following her to the land, telling them all to rest as they settled upon the new ground under their hooves and get used to their new home. With gracious words and tired muscles, they lay upon the ground of their new home, choosing then to rest and only rest, leaving their guide to step back into her place in the universe, finding the goddess Theia.

With her she spoke and offered her services as to repay the mother for the gracious present, for the solace given. A home had been found after so long, after so much travel, they were all finally at the end of a journey they'd never before expected to see. To have the gift of the library added within, to keep track of the lives and the events of the land had become Ajanta's job yet again, reminding her of the one she would never forget.

Years passed as things began to settle down, the disaster faded into the back of the minds of many, hearts holding the memory of the turmoil, letting it rise when a foal, trapped in such a stage, was seen. It had been found out that the powers gifted by the dying goddess had unsettled something in their balance, bringing them to a forever young state. These foals were seen and held as blessed ones, touched by the final kisses of their beloved. Now, only the record keeper remembers what has happened to the lands they had originated from, but none know the fate of the goddess, thinking her to still be out there. Which they were right, her spirit still there in the hearts of those that she gave life to, her memory in their minds, and her image now the brightest star in the night sky.
