This week we begin the preparations for our first, and most important, Tournament. This Tournament will decide which of us gets a position in the GPC League and which position will be earned.
The first five to win the Tournament will win large prizes, which still need to be settled on as well, and the last eight winners will be given 5k in pure gold.
This tournament does NOT limit the type of Pokemon you choose as partners, it is only to find your rank in the GPC league.
After winning, each trainer, starting with the fourth E4 and going down to the first GL, will get to choose their ONE type for the League. The Champion is allowed any and all types.
Once your trainer type is selected and finalized, you must register a team of six Pokemon for League use. This team may be used at any time, but no other team may be used for League battles.
My ideas for prizes are as follows:
1st Place: An Event Jirachi and Arceus, any Shiny Pokemon of their choice, 15k pure gold, and the Champion rank.
2nd Place: Any Shiny Pokemon of their trainer type (Legendary or otherwise, even a personal favorite is fine.), 10k pure gold, and the fourth E4 rank.
3rd Place: Any Legendary Pokemon of their trainer type, 10k pure gold, and the third E4 rank.
4th Place: Any Legendary Pokemon of their trainer type, 10k pure gold, and the second E4 rank.
5th Place: Any Legendary Pokemon of their trainer type, 10k pure gold, and the first E4 rank.
The gold for prizes will rely fully on donations to the guild mule, Angelus of Levis.
A lottery game is in the works to gain gold for Contest and Tournament prizes with a chance at winning in-game items and Pokemon. This will be released to the public once the guilds allow Post Actions again.

These are Pokémon that are considered too powerful,
or too game-breaking, and are thus given their own metagame.
All other Pokémon, no matter how much you whine
and complain about them, are not uber.
This includes:
All other legendaries
Metagross, Tyranitar, and Dragonite
Ninjask
Skarmory/Blissey combos
Snorlax
2. Evasion & OHKO moves
These include:
Double Team
Minimize
Horn Drill
Fissure
Guillotine
Sheer Cold
These moves aren't truly banned, but they are severely
frowned upon, and will most likely result in you getting
flamed if you use them.
The reason they are looked down upon is that they take
no skill to use, and make an already luck filled game,
rely even more on luck.
3. "Hax" Items
These items are:
Quick Claw
Brightpowder
Focus Band
Lax Incense
Kings Rock
4. Sleep
The most common and important clause.
It means that only one Pokémon aside can be asleep.
Pokémon who fell asleep with the most Rest are excluded from this.
Also, If you have one Pokémon asleep, and the trait
"Effect Spore" activates, and picks sleep, you still fall asleep.
5. Freeze
Another very important clause, although it isn't mandatory on Smogon.
Like sleep clause, it means that only one Pokémon a side can
be frozen. And unlike sleep clause, there are no exceptions to
this clause
6. Self-KO
This clause covers two things.
First, when your and your opponent have only one Pokémon left,
if you use Explosion, or Self-Destruct, you automatically lose.
Also, if you use Destiny Bond, with your last Pokémon, and your
opponents last Pokémon faints you, you still lose. This clause
was made to stop matches from ending in a tie.
Special Note: I haven't specified the type of battle yet, to my
current knowledge/memory, and therefore I would like to say it now.
Each match will be a 6v6, single, and the first match won will
decide the winner. Any match won, even by Wi-Fi disconnection,
will decide the winner. However, you may have the chance for
a rematch if your opponent agrees and if you let me know.
Failure to do either, will result in the win staying as is.
Also, to make sure it's clear, there are NO type restrictions on the team you use.
Type restriction is ONLY for the Gym & E4 GPC League teams.

This is meant to be open to everyone, but I'm a bit literal in the sense of being a trainer. I want trainers with the right views and principals to be in the tournament. ^_^; Not just win at any cost, but be there to have fun and enjoy yourself and the time with old/new friends.

I don't really keep up with those things myself, so I wouldn't know which is best for them. sweatdrop
