Okay, I've been having extreme difficulties with faith and fear. On one hand, I'm trying my hardest to believe God loves me enough not to hurt me. And on the other, I have extreme panic attacks where I feel as if I'm watching myself throughout the day and OMG SOMETHING'S GONNA DESTROY MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feelings. Most of it is with weather and medical issues, which scare me the most. And I just returned from camp, so I'm having panic attacks every day because I'm not quite used to the environment yet, even though it's my house that I've been living in since kindergarten.
I'm just wondering if any of you guys have an answer or some advice for my issues here.
Thanks, Sapph

okay, the thing to remember here is that bad things do happen. a relationship with God doesn't mean that all trouble will be eliminated from your life. what it does mean is that you trust your life in God's hands so that he can do whatever is necessary to make you and your life the best they can be. so when trouble comes don't let it waver your faith, but instead keep in mind that whatever happens, the end result will be a better you and a better relationship with the Lord, as long as you continue to trust in him and follow his will.

Sapphirianna, I've had the same sort of feelings of dread, especially worrying physical attack from people, seeing that our Lord has put it on my heart to be a pacifist, and I've promised to not (physically--spiritually's all in) fight back if someone attacks me. But I know ultimately that God has my life all planned out already--He's even revealed some of the connections in my past that He had all planned out, and a few things to come, too. So everything bad that's happened, is happening, and will happen to me is all planned out to get me where He wants me to go, and the same goes for you. There were things that almost "destroyed my life," and I'm still here, and I now know that I wouldn't be as close to God if they hadn't happened.
Just to throw this in, I also find great comfort in the book of Ecclesiastes whenever I'm worried about my life. smile

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I have plans to prosper you and not to harm you."
