About

i'm a writer, as you can see by the following poem. i'm also a Christian and a photographer and an academic.
BEFORE THE RAIN

I am a drop of rain;
A tiny drop of rain.
I long to fall from this cloud
And bring a storm behind me to nourish the earth's pain.

But I am afraid;
Afraid of leaving the cloud,
Afraid of falling through the air,
Afraid of hitting the ground.

What if I land on a rock and do not nourish anything?
What if, to the world, my mission is hollow?
What if the other rain drops do not see me leave?
What if they decide not to follow?

But I know I am supposed to go first
And not just wait and see.
I know that it says in God's word
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

So I am leaving the cloud.
I am falling through the sky.
Will a storm follow me?
That is for God to decide.

I believe you can easily press into God's presence through any genre of music.
