((((So, since ash screwed up a lot of plot things by leaving, here is sorta what's going on. It's pretty vague in the case of anyone's characters that aren't mine, to give you guys free reign to shape the time gap how you wish. But, long story short:

Einsame, led by Clotho, were on their way to Acropolis to meet up with the family Deimos didn't know he had. On the way, a storm split the main part of Einsame from the fate sisters. Atropos wanted to turn back and find the pack, but Clotho was determined to continue onward, saying it was fate at work. Einsame, without Clotho to guide them, were somewhat stranded with no idea where to go, because the storm wiped away all trace of the sisters.

Then Krishna, determined to look helpful in the eyes of her alpha Thanatos, found Einsame as the Kalosis pack came within howling distance of them, and told Deimos a lie, saying she saw the sisters go in a direction opposite of the one they actually took.

So, Einsame got lost. for about 2 months >_> I'm being really....eh....about the timeline, mainly since Kiion's pups were born a little bit before the war.

While they were lost, Clotho and sisters found acropolis, Thanatos and his Kalosis pack arrived.... they had a giant beatdown..... and Acropolis won.

Oh and Kiion flung Thanatos over the cliff.

THE END

Not required, but recommended read: Deimos and Ehrek find Phrixos

Any questions, ask here <3 )))

Hephaestus raised his head from his paws, ears pricking towards the west before his gaze followed. The howl traveled the gentle winds, sending a message of peace and good intent, alerting the alpha of Acropolis to visitors to his lands.

Yawning widely and stretching in the sun-warmed grasses, Heph rolled onto his back and wiggled to scratch an itch.

"Visitors? Oh goody," Dione drawled dryly, ruffling her pristine white fur and turning her gaze to the direction the howl had come from.

West.

"I've had about enough company to last me the rest of my lifetime," she muttered, stretching her old bones. Though still beautiful, the femme was well past her prime and starting to show it.

Rumbling an agreement, Kiion opened one eye, but refused to move from his comfortable position in the sun, stretched out as he was at his father's side. Clotho and Atropos lay curled at his feet, both intent on the howl as they curled around each other.

"Can I throw them over the cliff too?" he questioned his father, giving Heph a half-smirk when the alpha glowered at him.

"No. For one, they've announced themselves. They aren't trying to sneak. For two, maybe they know where Phrixos has gone," the big black and orange male said, rising to his feet in a move that ended with a languid stretch.

Ciirsyn Kiion felt the little bolts of lightning dance around his paws as his emotions shifted instantly from content to worry for his missing son. At least Ery had bade them farewell when he'd left.

Bia was curled up quietly to one side her eyes on Clotho and Atropos sadly. She had lost her sons...again, and she had lost Lachesis somehow. She was feeling quite pathetic, it seemed she not only failed as a mother but as a grandmother as well. She also had the sinking suspicion that Hephaestus and Dione didn't think much of her as a daughter in-law. She couldn't blame them really, at the moment she didn't think very highly of herself and wished her whole life had gone differently.

Her ears perked and she lifted her head suddenly as she heard a distant howl. She quickly jerked to her feet and smiled "It's Deimos!" She started to step forward then stopped in cowardice. How was she ever going to explain that she had managed to loose Lachesis?

Heph turned at her outburst, watching the emotions flit across her face in quick succession. He raised a brow and questioned, "Who is Deimos?"

Clotho looked at Bia and her eyes widened, mouth dropping open in a silent, startled "Oh."

Watching her grandmother first almost leap with joy, then cringe in a panic, Atropos shifted to her feet and approached the white, red spotted female. Offering a comforting nuzzle, she answered for Bia, wondering how her grandmother had forgotten to tell them.

But then again, Clotho and her had forgotten as well.

"Deimos is the one who raised us, our half uncle. Bia's son. Your nephew..." she added the last in a voice that drifted off, wary of Hephaestus' reaction.

Hephaestus' maw dropped open as shock staggered the normally in control wolf. His brain worked fast even through the shock, telling him this Deimos couldn't possibly be of Athena's get, which meant . . .

The huge male lunged forward, getting into Bia's face, not in an aggressive way, but he needed answers the myriad of questions that had suddenly appeared.

"Ares...he lived? You're his..."

Bia's ears fell back startled as the large male suddenly loomed before her, how could she have forgotten? She had been so focused on the girls and on her sons and while the triplets bore no blood relations to this new pack Deimos did. She remembered her mate and her heart squeezed inside her chest stealing her breath and leaving her feeling miserably alone again. She nodded softly trying to hold back tears, if only she had stayed with Ares, so much pain might have been avoided. She could scarcely go back now and fix all of her lifes mistakes, she would have avoided her first mate all together and his insanity.

"...He is gone now..." She whispered sadly unable to say the words...to say that her mate was dead. She would have given anything to see her family alive and whole...and happy.

"But yes...Ares was a my mate, we bore two pups Deimos and Phobos. Forgive me for I scarcely remembered...that you were Ares family?" She looked back at her two grand-daughters they were brilliant if not a bit odd, but she loved them so very much.

"Family? Yes! He is the brother that my entire family thought was dead! Murdered by that b*****d Thanatos, who betrayed our pack when I was but a pup. My father died from a broken heart because he thought he had let Ares down."

Hephaestus stopped his tirade, realizing he had gotten into her face and was very close to yelling, his breathing heavy. His bi-colored eyes flicked to Clotho and Atropos before he looked away.

And then he was gone, a blur of black and orange fur as he raced across the open field that stretched between the edge of the plateau and the forest border.

Dione's ears went flat, and she tried to process the words Bia had spoken. That her beloved son had not died, had grown to adulthood, and had had young of his own.

She turned her ice colored eyes to the white, red spotted female and found she had no words to speak. Then she too was gone, running at a pace faster than a wolf her age should go.

Kiion rose slowly to his feet, nudging the girls with his nose. "Come, little ones. Looks like we have a reunion to catch."

(( Now isn't this hard to start talkin to ;-; I greatly apologize if I muss anything up ;A; ))

Kajahli was afraid. More family? More wolves he didn't quite know? Kaj had gotten comfortable but then Kiion had pups. Was he really welcome? Was he needed? What would happen to the pups? What if they were going to get lost like Hephaestus's brother? Already one... one...

Kaj whimpered, ears flat against his head, barely peeking out of his skull. He had to make sure he kept Kiion and Hephaestus in his sights. The pups and everyone else in his sights.

"I'm c-coming!" Kaj yelped, scrambling to keep both Hephaestus's rapidly fading form as Kiion in his sights. Keeping everyone else in his sights. He couldn't... he didn't want to think of it.

Bia shrank back as the larger male loomed close tears shone in her eyes, she had no idea that this family had searched for Ares. She hadn't been such a pathetic shell when she had met Ares, they had both been so hungry for life so passionate. It wasn't until her fear of her daughters insanity having been her fault that she broke. Ashamed and frightened she had made poor choice after poor choice. She felt guilty for Ares death, for her childrens suffering, for the triplets oddities. Everything seemed to be her fault she looked up at Dione and then saw her turn and run as well. With a soft sigh she forced herself to stand and follow.

She didn't follow as quickly as the others her heart wasn't in it. She wanted to see a happy family reunited and yet...and yet she didn't. She knew the truth, that she and Ares and their pups would never again be a happy family. She knew she had ruined her chance for happiness long ago. Tiredly she moved until she caught up with the others, half of her wished Deimos and Phobos would run to her, would want her love and affection first...as their mother. Except she wasn't fooling anyone, she had been such a bad mother it was a miracle her sons even spoke to her, she knew.

Kiion's ears flickered when he heard his dear friend's nearly panicked voice, and he turned with a gentle smile curling his maw. "C'mon, Kaj. I'll run with you," he said softly, tail wagging as he waited for the purple wolf.

Deimos wondered at the absence of an answering howl, but he shrugged his mild worry off his shoulders, knowing deep in his heart that his life and the lives of those wolves running with him were about to get better. He glanced beside him, smiling at his beloved mate Ehrek, before taking a quick peek behind him at Kek and letting out a happy bark.

Yes, things were about to get better.

Ehrek kept his eyes to the sky and the surroundings, taking in his enviornment. Such a strange place yet this was the direction of the howl. Deimos walked like an Alpha, guiding his friends to safety and a new beginning. But what of the Einsame when they go to this pack, will they be accepting of the members? Will they still be Einsame? The wolf's mine ran through thoughts over and over as they walked with no answers--None were necessary. It wasn't until Deimos turned to him with a smile.

Ehrek gave it in return, lowering his head from his thoughtful wanderings.

"What do you think they're like?" He questioned.

Deimos had wondered that very same thing himself, but hadn't dwelled on it long. After all, they would find out shortly, and life wouldn't be exciting without a little bit of mystery.

But his smiled flared anew as he glanced at Ehrek again. "Dunno. But we'll find out!" Barking excitedly, Deimos leapt high into the air before dropping back to nudge his dear friend, Kek, in the shoulder.

"What say you, old friend? Ready for a pack that won't up a walk away?"

Kaj's face lit up. It showed in the way his forlorn features grew less weary. His ears perked up just a bit higher, his chest rose just a bit higher than it had previously been so close to the ground. His maw also tilted a bit, his lips churning up in the slightest of grins. He couldn't help the small grin in return to Kiion's. He was enthusiastic that Kiion had waited for him and he yipped happily, catching up with a wag of his tail.

Things were scary, but with Kiion by his side as well as everybody else's, things would be ok right?

Kek wasn't entirely sure how he felt about joining a new pack. Given, Einsame Lykos had always been a little bit different, a little quiet, a little . . . less like a pack than he might have liked. But it was his home, the first home he'd had since leaving his family so many years ago. He had been accepted by Deimos and, most importantly, had his lifestyle accepted with no questions or raised brows. He had finally found a place where he could be himself and had enjoyed for years.

But most of the members had left and faded. Despite that, Kek had remained loyal, keeping on the lands even while others disappeared forever. Thankfully though, Deimos and Ehrek had returned, and together they had all picked up and left.

Life was new . . . different. . . . But Kek was easy-going and loyal enough to follow without question. If Deimos thought this move was right for the pack than so be it. Deimos and Ehrek really were the only family he had as of late. Oh, certainly there was Therin too, but that was an entirely different can of worms. Therin wasn't exactly a friend, but he wasn't exactly a mate either. . . He was . . . He was a rover. He roamed and occasionally stopped by to visit. Strange for him to be following them so closely but Kek wasn't one to question the black wolfs antics.

Relaxed as ever, Kek allowed a lop-sided and lazy smile to cross his features as Deimos turned to offer him a nuzzle. His tail wagged a bit and he gave a low chuckle. "It will be good to settle once again with wolves whom believe in the idea of a pack. I'm looking forward to it." It was true . . . sort of.

He wasn't entirely sure how well or how easy he'd fit in with the others but, then again, Kek was fairly carefree. He'd adjust readily and easily enough. . . Perhaps it was just age that made him more reticent with change. It wasn't as if he were some spring chicken.

Grinning, Deimos gave Kek a friendly nibble on the ear before he ran back to take his place at the head of his small band of wanderers, leading them to a new life. And hopefully a better one.

The Acropolis pack moved through the trees like wraiths, absolutely silent and a formidable unit. The war had united those that remained on the beautiful lands bordering the massive plateau, and few things would be able to stop them now.

But today, they weren't intent on fighting. No, today they eagerly awaited the presence of something that shouldn't have been.

Family, from kin long thought dead.

Hephaestus could barely contain his excitement, but even as joy danced within him, it was tinged by sadness at the loss of a brother, and the loss of time the big male could have spent with his sibling.

But Heph would make amends by giving sanctuary to Ares' children, and any they brought with them.

Suddenly, a massive form appeared some 30 feet ahead in the trees, and Hephaestus stopped dead in his tracks. Looking at the wolf before him, he felt as if he were viewing a ghost. The coloring wasn't exact, but he could see Ares' in every part of this massive creature. Could see Dione in the male's ice blue eyes.

His mother's strangled gasp snapped him from his reverie and he glanced at her, seeing the astonishment in her eyes.

"Ares..." she murmured, but Dione knew better. Her soon was in this wolf, there was no doubt. She had been robbed of a child, but she would be damned if she'd be robbed of her grandchildren.

Darting forward, she left Hephaestus standing there stunned and looking like a fool. Her paws took her to the big male, a petite and beautiful wolf by his side, and another massive and very purple wolf trailing slightly behind them.

Standing with her tail raised and ears pricked alertly forward, she strained to do more, to run to him and tackle him and relish in the remarkable wolf that shared her soon's genes, but she retained the composure and regality of her age. "Welcome to our lands, friend. I hear..." her voice broke, and she swallowed before continuing. "I hear you are the son of Ares. Is this true?"

Deimos saw the black and orange male first, and realized that "massive" seemed to describe his entire bloodline. Even the female that appeared beside him was large by normal standards, but more so in her endless legs. And when she ran pellmell towards him, he was worried that they would not receive the warm welcome he had hoped for.

But his worries proved foolish, for her greeting filled him with warmth and pride. "Yes, it's true. My name is Deimos...and this is my pack," he added warmly, turning to his mate and his dear friend, all that remained of his first true accomplishment in life. "My mate, Ehrek, and my dear friend, Kekarn."

Dione took in the two wolves with a bow of her head, noticing with slight surprise that the beautiful blue wolf was not female as she had first thought, but male. She blinked, processing the information, but the smile she gave was warm and still welcome.

"It is wonderful to meet you, Deimos, Ehrek, and Kek." She seemed to falter, weighing her next actions, when suddenly she leapt forward and barrelled into Deimos to cover him with nips and licks. "My grandson...My beautiful grandson..." she murmured, licking his ears as the rest of Acropolis joined the small group.

Kiion rolled his eyes at his grandmother's antics, a smile curling his maw. He approached Deimos with a lazy wag of his tail and butted him in the shoulder. "Welcome to the family, cuz."

Clotho appeared from seemingly nowhere and gave Kek a timid lick on the nose before nudging Ehrek on her way to Deimos. She sat beside him, smiling, her string around her muzzle.

Not far behind her sister, Atropos' greeting was more energetic and she tackled Ehrek with enthusiasm, covering his muzzle in licks. "We've found each other again! I knew we would!"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:49 pm

Kek watched as everything seemed to happen so fast. Out of no where more and more wolves seemed to pour out, greeting the small group with ranging excitement. Some were more reserved while others wasted no time tackling and showering Deimos with affection.

It was a little overwhelming, even for a passive and good-natured brute like Kekarn. Still, he was no stranger to meeting new pack mates; before being accepted fully in to Einsame Lykos, Kek had often had to find new homes. Many didn't appreciate his tastes in males, and made it clear he was unwelcome.

Thankfully there was some insurance - Deimos and Ehrek were 'like him', albeit younger, and a pair. If Deimos' family had any objections at all with such a lifestyle, they'd have to deal with the big red and white wolf. Trying to keep a relaxed demeanor, the striped male was glad that Deimos had finally found his family, could be reunited and finally say he'd discovered home. He had Ehrek and now was part of a pack that wouldn't come and go, that wouldn't leave.

Kek was happy for him, but the change was still unsettling. He knew none of the faces and hadn't entirely given up his love for Einsame Lykos. Deimos would always be his alpha, even if there was now another as far as protocol went. This wasn't home for Kek. . . not yet at any rate.

For now, Kek kept his thoughts securely to himself. He'd be his usual self - good natured, obliging, and almost lethargic in nature - but the more wolves he witnessed surround Deimos, the more Kekarn felt strangely out of place. It would take time to adjust to his new pack, to meet his new pack mates. It would take time to adjust to the change.

Bia trailed behind the last in the line it broke her heart to see the triplets broken, how could she have lost one of her own granddaughters? Her tail gave a faint waver as she saw Deimos yet the mild pleasure turned to concern when she noticed Phobos absence. Had her sons been separated from one another as well or was Phobos simply lagging behind? Always she seemed to be second stepping, guessing, worrying. Would she ever find a moment in life to relax and enjoy things, or had that all ended with Ares?

She slowly sat down leaving Dione to shower her grandchild with affection. Dione was obviously a good mother, she deserved to have her pleasure. Bia focused instead on the ground her mind running over ways to tell Deimos that Lachesis wasn't with them.
