I wanted to make this thread since I've seen that many people in this guild have upcoming shows of Gaga that they have tickets for.

For anybody who has been to her show, leave your detailed review of your experience here!

Our guild leader, Sam, went to see the Gaga today.

I'll be seeing her Aug 11th in L.A. I just think it's amazing because this is the woman we've made a whole guild on and talk about like .. everyday, and to see her live for 2 hours would be an awesome thing to talk and rant about. I emphasize the word "live" because after talking about her and researching her so much, it feels like she's a character from some fantasy story.

We're all waiting to hear about your experiences so be sure to post about it here!

(He made this topic solely for me I swear!)

So...I saw Gaga at Madison Square Garden in New York City last night.Came home 1 o'clock the morning exhausted with a headache.

The opening act by Semi Precious Weapons was downright awful. I don't care if they have been with Gaga since whenever, THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

Now on to Gaga, the video interludes were ******** beautiful, most artist just leave the stage and nothing happens between each song but Gaga had these beautiful transitions between each segment of the show. The music was loud as ********! Everyone was jumping around and singing along, the house LITERALLY shook. You could feel vibrations I've never experienced at a concert before.

She took time to stand on stage by herself and talk to us at one point. I don't remember ALL of it but I remember her saying:

Quote:

"I use to be just like all of you, I use to walk these concretes streets, I use to take the subway and I use to sit right where you are right now looking up at some b***h on the stage!"

Bad Romance was the last song she performed and she started crying afterward when she and her dancers took a bow.

There's nothing else I can say really, you just had to be there with other little monsters putting your paws up. At the beginning, it felt like a concert but once she got on the piano and sang her heart out, it felt like partying with family in your living room. She didn't use the stage to boost her ego, she used it to tell everyone in the house to love themselves and be proud of who they are.It truly was the liberation she spoke about in her interviews.

I feel even more proud to be a little monster after that show!

Dude, I'm getting the CHILLS just reading this review! I don't think I can wait another month!

And I love the absolute honesty about the Semi Precious Weapons hahahah.

Gaga is so freaking awesome .. She's done this show over and over and still displays the same vibrant emotions and energy. Excuse my language this once, but that's f****** amazing.

And .. maybe I did make this thread because of you hahaha! Yeah, my eyes are that good.

My mom won't let me go because I'm only 13 and she says the reviews say it's a little R rated. I'm not mad at her though. It's not like it will make me like her any less.

Okayyy, I'm back. I've been on and off the PC and I've been wanting to write a review but I haven't had enough time.

But if I had to describe Gaga's concert in two words .. it would probably be .. "F***ING AMAZING"!

It was two hours of sex, really. If I could, I would plagiarize all of the work of Sam's review, because I agree with her completely. Semi Precious Weapons opened the show up and they were not good at all. They actually made me want to leave the stage for a bit since it was so loud and obnoxious, but I ended up staying.

The show was said to start at 8PM, but Gaga didn't show up until 9:15PM ish. I must say, it was the sickest beginning ever! It got ALL dark, and everyone got quiet .. and then you hear .. " D-d-d-d-" and EVERYONE started screaming and cheering. It was the beginning of Dance in the Dark.

She was behind the screen silhouetted with her shadow showing and she was doing little poses. She sang it beautifully and started telling her Monster Ball story while transitioning perfectly into her songs. She played songs like Glitter and Grease, Boys Boys Boys, Pokerface, Paparazzi, Alejandro .. Etc.

I loved how she would stop and start talking to her fans and pointing out certain people who had cool costumes. She made cool speeches and made everybody feel free and liberated. Hearing her and seeing her live was like a dream come true because she freaking performs her heart out!

She screams, belts, jumps, dances, grinds, and gets nasty on stage haha. She also played Speechless and You & I on a piano that was lit on fire .. So freaking intense.

My favorite part though was Bad Romance. I THINK it was Paparazzi that she said "Good Night" to everybody on. After she said good night to everyone, the curtains closed and everybody behind me and around me were like "What the? Isn't she gonna play Bad Romance?" All around me you could hear the same question but I totally knew she was gonna play it as a surprise.

Low and behold, it goes dark again and a red light shines on stage and believe me when I say I'm not exaggerating .. but I almost went DEAF. I've never heard people cheer this loud before in my life. I had to cover my ears for a bit, and then when I opened them again, I heard Gaga's voice go "Ohhhhohhhhohhh" for the beginning of Bad Romance.

And yes, I had to cover my ears again lol. Everyone was screaming at the top of her lungs as Gaga did her thing with Bad Romance.

So, a numeric rating? 200/10.

Would I go see it again? Yes. Will I go see it again? Yes. Do I recommend people to go see her concert? Yes. Did I have my paws up for more than half the show? Yes.

I really hope all of you members of this guild get to experience her live, because the music they play by her on the radio does her NO justice. All these people hating on her saying that her concert only targets gays, but believe me.. There were so many straight people, bis, gays, people that were like 50 years old+ .. and young people .. So many different types of people. It was amazing really.

I hope you guys enjoy the review as much as I enjoyed typing it. I didn't really enjoy typing it actually. Now I'm just ranting.

heart you all!

what ninjaboyjeff said

wow.

By the time she wraps Monster Ball, Gaga will have grossed close to $200 million worldwide, according to Billboard estimates, and the tour will certainly stand out as one of the brightest feathers in her well-decorated hat.

and excuse me? 200/10?.... you mean infinity razz

The events of which I am describing took place September 2nd...

First off, I was REALLY EXCITED TO GO. I was going with my wonderful mother who bought the tickets, we were blassssting both albums on the car ride there. We got there reallly early to stand in this area which led to the backway entrance (tour buses were coming in and out) saw lady starlight, dancers, the lead guitarist for SPWs.

But the thing I noticed most was how NICE everyone was! We all discussed our love for Gaga, our favorite songs, just about everything! I met so many great people, SO MANY. You cannot fathom how much i enjoyed the people <3

Opening band.......... skip

what felt like 2 hours of michael jackson the lights finally went out EVERYONE CHEERED LOUDLY. then my ear drums shattered when "D-d-d-d-d" started from ALL the cheering! I was going wild and as if it couldnt get worse, EVERYONE FLIPPED OUT AND SCREAMED SO LOUD WHEN HER SHADOW APPEARED ahhh so exciting.

All throughout the show it was such a liberating experience, I read how critics just wanted her to "shut up and sing" and I say POO TO YOU, her speeches in the middle make you feel like she cares about you, and she really does <3 I love her

This concert was THE best, it by far makes her monster ball 1.0 tour look incredibly small, but I love both. Only problem was that the bradley center had a weak speaker system, wasnt as loud as the rosemont theater. Dance in the dark was suppose to make my heart shake but it was still a beautiful time! I plan on going to see her next tour since she is worth every penny <3

Highlights: the whole show, but DITD and Paparazzi were my favorite.

Lmao, your mom is awesome. My mom would slap me if I blasted Gaga's music in the car. xD

Glad you had fun! I also thought that her speeches in the middle made it so worth it!

I went to the Vancouver show, the first one, and I've been waiting 4 months for this. It was my birthday present (my birthday was in may) and I was looking so forward to it. So the beginning was ammmaaaazzzing! BUT THESE PEOPLE BEHIND MY SISTER AND & I TOLD US TO SIT DOWN BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T SEE.
I WAS LIKE D:< I WILL DANCE!
but being Canadian, we sat down. BUT THEN these awesome ladies who were all dressed up made us stand up and dance with them. They had amazing costumes. I cried a lot when Gaga was on stage, lost my voice from screaming so much. The FAme Monster scared the crap out of me. My favourite song performed was Monster, love that song!

Semi Precious Weapons were crap. I did not like them whatsoever.

Lol I think I'm the only one here who actually enjoyed Semi-Precious Weapons opening for Gaga xd They rocked out and I like when bands do that -thumbs up-

I saw her Denver show July 28th; I'm going to have to say Paparazzi was one of my favs! I pissed off the people in front of me with my flash from my camera during that song... haha but I shrugged it off and said "Mama monster needed us to scare away the monster!" (She told us all to take pictures to scare away this monster thing on stage) I'm assuming the stage setups were generally the same =]
