Special: Most pokemon have the ability to draw upon the power of Plates to boost their own abilities. The ruling family of the Guild of the sun, however, can tap directly into the power of the plates, creating a direct conduit to Arceus' power. This results in powerful attacks, but is exhausting and painful to use, for mere mortals can not safely fully channel the power of their god. Atra, as a member of the ruling bloodline, has this ability. One of Atra's missions is to find and gather as many plates as he can- the ones his family owned had long been lost or stolen.

About: Atra was born as a twin to Albus. Their mother was a Vaporeon named Minerva. Their father? Pluto, the Leafeon.
What was important about their father was that he was the younger brother to Jupiter. When their father before them passed away, Pluto and Jupiter fought for the throne. Pluto lost because of his much younger age, and came to resent Jupiter because of this.
When Solaris and Selena was born, twins as Pluto's own kids were, it was decided that the male, Solaris, would ascend. Pluto could see that Jupiter favoured the non-shiny eevee, and thus did everything he could to support Selena. Pluto tried his best to overrule traditional rules for selecting the King, the rules that had turned him down, and did everything he could to place Selena on the throne.
Unfortunately, when the Umbreon murdered Jupiter and fled to create her own Guild and Kingdom, Pluto's family was shamed. Many accused them of scheming with Selena to kill the King.
However, suspicious lifted over the years, but the family was still shamed. Though Pluto never got along with his brother, he still cared for Jupiter, and his death affected the leafeon greatly. Over the years, Pluto's health declined drastically as the stress of running his family and trying to raise it back to glory took its toll.
His two sons grew up seeing this withering in their father, and blamed Selena for it all. It was her fault. Both grew up resenting her, swearing revenge.
When the two of them reached the age of 16, their father fell severely ill and their mother took over the running of the house. in the case Pluto died, a heir was needed to take the place of head of the family. the problem was, there were no conventions to deal with selecting one out of identical twins.
Thus, the two of them left to prove themselves above the other, each joining a team. Atra attempted to join Absolute Indignation, a team he looked up to, but they refused. Eventually, they managed to convince him to join their little sister's Team, Polaris.
Atra grew up as the more active of the twins. Though he was still privately-tutored and knows a lot about different Pokemon, he enjoyed going out exploring rather than staying home and reading like his brother. Atra at a very young age began good friends with the son of some of the Castle Guards, a Bagon named Sherman Victor. The two met a Chikorita from the City named Melanie (Molly) Azalea, and the three had been inseparable. The recent death of Molly has left both Atra and Sherman shaken, and is the namesake of the new team.
Atra is...arrogant, although he doesn't know this. He is naive about the world, not understanding what life is like without a rich and powerful family. He's carefree and often reckless, believing himself almost invincible, although when faced with true danger, he finds it hard to cope. Being the stronger out of the twins, Atra considers himself better than Albus on default, and does not worry much over the selection of an heir to their house.
Appearance: Atra has retained the colours of his eevee form, with his fur mainly being a rich brown. The fluffier, longer, fur on him though are coloured a bright bluish-silver.

About: Melissa Azalea was born to a Bayleaf, Iris, and a rather special Ivysaur, Galen. She had an old sister, a Chikorita named Melanie, more often referred to as Molly.
Her father inherits the legacy of a rather...unique group of Bulbasaur evolutions, a very sharp and strong genetic memory. While Molly did not inherit this -her dominant Chikorita blood prevented it- Melissa certainly did. Though her Chikorita heritage dulled the effects, Mel often goes through her life feeling as if there is little she hasn't seen. Knowledge comes to her at random, tidbits she herself could not have known. Memories that were not her own sometimes intruded upon her thoughts, occasionally making it hard to tell who she was.
But the strongest memory she inherited, the only clear ones that were ingrained permanently within her as if she had been there herself, was the memory of her mother's kidnapping and her father's desperation to save her. Of the brave Exploration Team that retried Iris at a great cost. That team was Team Tartarus, which was led by a young Eevee named Pluto.
Two out of the three members died that day, but Iris was returned to her family safe and sound. Mel for many years was haunted by the effects of that mission on Pluto's life, a life she had seen through both her father's and her own eyes. The dangers of Exploration had been ingrained within her from an early age and she avoided such dangerous activities.
But not Molly. The Chikorita seemed to crave adventure and excitement, and very easily made friends with one of Pluto's sons, Atra. As Melissa stayed home and took her interests to books, history, and the art of tea-making, Molly went out and explored with Atra and a Bagon named Sherman.
Then, one day, it all went wrong. Melissa was told of Molly's death the day after it happened. The news shook the young Bulbasaur to the core, and she grieved for many months. The loss of her sister, as well as flickering images of so many she had lost in past lives, tore at her through one of the hardest times in her life.
Then suddenly, it was there again, the memory of her father's that had defined her for so long, instilled within her such an aversion to Exploring. She thought of Pluto and his friends, who had risked everything to save her mother. And suddenly, she knew what she had to do, the memory suddenly shed in a completely different light. Her mother was alive because people risked themselves for another.
Over the next few days she prepared, and though her parents were reluctant at first they supported and helped her every step of the way. And then she left for the Sun Guild, to create her own team.
Though she didn't manage to start a team of her own, she did meet an old acquaintance, Atra. Through a series of events that no one is really capable of explaining properly, she became the Co-Captain of the Team named after her sister.
Although she is not physically strong or well-trained, her reflexes are sharp and her precision unmatched. Generations of experience guides her, though much of its source is fuzzy and unclear to her. To make up for her physical frailness, Melissa had long ago devised a clever use of a TM she had received, Recycle. Using it in conjunction with Wonder Orbs, of which she carries one of each, she is able to recharge them after each use.

About: Sherman's parents work as guards at Pluto's mansion. They were deeply loyal to the royal family, especially to Pluto. They consider it their highest honour to serve and protect him.
When Sherman was two years old, Pluto had twins, and he quickly got along with the more active of the two, Atra. They became best friends, and his parents gave him the responsibility of protecting the young Eclipse. Sherman wasn't exactly very good at this, for over the years the two of them went on all sorts of adventures, some quite dangerous. When the two met a commoner Chikorita girl, Melanie Azalea (also known as Molly) she joined their group, and the three were inseparable.
After Atra left with his twin to prove themselves, Sherman spent most of his time with Molly exploring whatever they can. Their plan was to form their own Exploration team the moment they could get their parents to agree.
One day, Sherman and Molly went into an entrance to the Molten Caverns that the trio had discovered years ago. The two dared each other to enter, and they did. However, very early in, the two were attacked by a pair of slugma; Molly who could not get near them without getting hurt, lost her footing and slipped down deeper into the cavern, towards the magma. Sherman barely managed to get out alive himself, collapsing just outside.
He was found by his father, and news of Molly's disappearance reached the ears of Atra the next day who had joined Team Polaris. The eevee rushed to her aid alone, jumping into the volcano to save his childhood friend. Wild Pokemon got into his way, and he was forced to evolve in order to survive and pull Molly out.
Unfortunately Molly was already dead; the young Chikorita was in the harsh environment of the Volcano for far too long. Atra returned to the Sun Castle Grieving, and Sherman was shattered by the news.
Sherman evolved without expecting it while sitting out in the courtyard one day, becoming a Sheldon. His parents wanted him to evolve naturally through his own strength, but Sherman didn't want to stay a Sheldon. Thus, he asked Atra for helping, joining his team and using the Crystal Chamber.
His parents did not approve of this of course, so Sherman decided to stay at the Castle until his parents cooled off a bit. He didn't expect Atra to break off of their team and form a new one though, declaring Sherman as his Co-Captain.
The Salamence isn't the brightest bulb in the box. he's not stupid, but it takes him time to get something. Sherman doesn't like puzzles and will usually wait for someone else to give him the answer. Sherman doesn't like making decisions for himself, but hates it when others makes it for him, and when he does decide, he sticks to it stubbornly.
Appearance: Sherman is extremely small for a Salamence, only a meter tall at the shoulder. His wings are a pale silver, inherited from his father. A small scar run along his jaw.

About: Lilium was born to a Quilava (Iris♀) and a Charmeleon (Blitz♂) at the Starter Villa. Iris had been only a newborn when the lab was abandoned. When the humans left she had hid herself away and thus was not taken with the professor. Blitz was was a trainer's Pokemon who decided to leave his trainer and stay to protect the Pokemon at the Villa.
Blitz's dad was a Kadabra, and passed his inherited psychic powers down to his daughter.
At a young age, Lilium was fascinated with stories about the humans, especially their cities and society and the odd way they went about their lives. At the age of thirteen, Lily decided to leave for the city. Not a human one, but the Kingdom of Eclipse.
She found a job as a maid in one of the Eclipse households, ran by a leafeon named Pluto. She quickly climbed through the ranks, her psychic abilities giving her an edge. After a year Pluto and Minerva's sons were born. Lily and her friend, an Azumarill named Lia, were each assigned to take care of one of the twins.
Lily has been with Atra ever since, doing her best to keep the more active of the twins under control, trying to impose some sort of discipline with futilility. Despite the headaches associated with knowing and being responsible for Atra, she loves him like her own son.
Lily is calm and quiet, accepting orders from members of the Eclipse family without questions. Except from Atra. Around the Eevee she acts like a fussy mother and is constantly having to try and keep him out of trouble. With limited success. Having never done any fighting before in her life. Lily is very nervous around potentially dangerous situations and rather likes to avoid them.
She does not approve of Pluto's decision to allow the two twins to go join exploration teams. She believes it too dangerous a situation to place the heirs of the house in, and is constantly trying to convince Atra to quit.
Since she's not doing that successfully anytime soon, she had decided to stay with Atra, whether he was willing or not, to provide him adequate care.
Appearance: A shiny Cyndaquil, usually wearing a blue-jewelled headband.

About: Katara wasn't exactly "born" in the conventional sense. One day, some ditto simply just lost a piece of itself, and didn't seem to care much.
So that blob of ditto sat there on the forest floor near the Metal Works, with no brain or face or anything to speak of except, well, ditto goo. A baby Skarmory had fallen from its nest and got lost. It stumbled into the ditto goo, and it transformed into the baby Skarmory on instinct.
When the nearby Skarmory clan found the ditto, they thought it was one of their own, and took it in. It had taken the form of a female, and was given the name "Katara" in the custom of naming their children after swords.
When Atra went to the Metal Works for a mission one day, the clan tried to drive him off. They were defeated, Katara having had her wings coated with ice and thus made her crash, hard.
During that crash her body seemed to melt away and then reform back into the shape of her body, leaving her without the scratches or injuries from the crash. Not knowing that she was a ditto, this freaked her out more than just a little bit.
She accompanied Atra back to the guild and joined the team in order to research her condition with the vast resources of the guild. It took a simple trip to the hospital for the nurses to tell her she was a ditto though.
It was a shock, but she decided to stay with the team and learn how to fully harness her newfound powers of transformation.
Katara, despite the species she had taken to, is a soft-spoken and kind individual. Within the flock she lived with, she humbly served those of positions above her in the flock. She respected others greatly and was a valued member of the flock. When she needs to, Katara is a fierce and fearless fighter, readily putting her own life in danger for others.
When she came to the Guild, Atra took her in and took care of her. This simply act imbued Katara with a great sense of loyalty towards the eevee, and follows most of his commands. Because of Atra's nature, he does not see this as strange, and has eventually come to see Kat as one of his servants.
Appearance: A silvery gray ditto. Everything she transforms into are usually silver and purple, and sometimes red. Very rarely is she able to copy the colour of what she transforms into.

About: Chase's family was wealthy, making a small fortune investing in other businesses. His mother was a Ninetales named Melenaie Ignatius, and his father was his namesake and a Dragonair.
Chase Senior was a very adventurous person, who liked taking risks and seeing it pay off- and in the businesses he invested in, it usually did. So Chase junior grew up with money to spare, and led a fairly decent life.
When Chase Junior was about ten years old, his father and some friends went exploring and never came back. Ever since then Chase has developed an adventurous streak, going through the wilds his father most likely went to. He still holds a slim hope that maybe, just maybe, he'd find his father one day.
He was on one of these adventures in the Misty Jungle one day when he stumbled upon several Zangoose. being territorial Pokemon, they attacked Chase, and the Vulpix barely escaped with his life. he broke his leg in the battle though, and could not return home with the Zangoose at his heels.
Hobbling along, Chase ran into a pair of Croagunk and after a brief battle, Chase defeated them, and took the bandages off one of them and a stick to create a makeshift splint for his leg. The Zangoose caught up with him soon and he scrambled up a tree, despite the fact it HURT LIKE HELL.
Fortunately, Atra and Sherman came to his rescue, sent by his mother. Thankful, he asked to join their new team, deciding that adventuring is a good life for him.
Chase is quiet, seriously, and talks rather formally. Chase has received a very thorough education and did very well at school. Despite being calm and smart, he's still rather reckless, charging into situations, trusting himself to think of a solution as all the Chaos unfolds.
Appearance: A Silver and Blue Vulpix. He has a small blue pearl at his throat and Dratini-ears.

About: Matthew's Father, a Wartortle, was a member of an exploration Team for a long time. He carried with him the Icicle Plate, a memento of his grandfather, who had caught it out of the sky at the end of The Great Drought. When the team ran into disaster, Matt's father perished and the team took possession of the plate, refusing to give it to Matthew or his mother.
When the Ice Guild was newly formed, the team joined, and Matthew wasn't far behind, joining an amateur Team. He waited for his chance to get the Icicle Plate back.
When Algenders hit, his mother was affected and the Guild was forced to kill her along many others. After that, he decided he has had enough. After many tries, he finally succeeded to steal the Icicle Plate, swapping it for a Mystic Water when the bearer of the plate was not paying attention.
He bolted after that, his original plan being to go to the Guild of Raging Fire. He was half-way through Inferno Mountain when he ran into Team Azalea, who were sent by the Ice Guild to find their missing recruit. When Atra saw the Plate, he made a deal with Matthew; we hide and harbour you, you give me access to the plate.
Having not much choice in the matter, he agreed.
Spade -as he came to call himself- is a bit of an...odd character. He is rude and can be a jerk in his words, but he is kind-hearted and has a strong sense of chivalry. Will write more when I get a better sense of him.
Appearance: Normal brown Buneary with an overly large fluffy tail.

The Team brought it to the Guild, who unloaded it onto the first person they could. When Spade found a piece of equipment that belonged to the camera which had evidence of Diablo's death, they handed Repede's egg to him.
Confused, he took it back, and the Team kept him...
Appearance: He's a dark blue puppy with a light tan belly and paws. His tail is long and jagged, dark blue with tan ruffs. His eyes and a tuft of fur on his head is a brilliant cerulean. He is often seen with something sticking out of his mouth, the most common of which is a stick. But anything in that general shape will do.

He met one of the mainlanders, Melissa the Bulbasaur. Fascinated with the stories of the new land, he asked to join Team Azalea. He has been in the team ever since.

About: Team Absolute indignation had learned of a way to restore Zero's sanity. They heard rumours about a Jirachi, and scoured deeply into the legend. Then they set off to Pilgrim's mountain, accompanied by Atra and Morana.
In the end they met the Jirachi -the Original Jirachi- with aid of the Golden Flute. Jirachi claimed to be under a curse that forced it to sleep for all but a week every thousand years. Frustrated with its inability to act, it made a deal with those who had awoken it.
The Jirachi granted Zero his mind back, and created a new Jirachi that was free of the curse. They were to raise her and teach her about the world so that she can take on the task of fulfilling the wishes of the world.
She was aptly named Hope by Zosee.
Hope is young and does not understand the world very well yet. She is constantly happy though, and odd things tend to happen around her to many's delight.
