Last night I saw a commercial for Eclipse, and the first thing I saw was the Space Needle. I was actually at first like, "Cool! What is this movie about?" I love anything having to do with Seattle, but I just got really sad when I saw that it was, "The New Adventures of Eddykins and Mary Sue." I want to move to Seattle one day, but now I'm afraid it's going to be full of the wannabe goth bitchy twitards now. crying

Irony: It's supposed to take place in rainy wittle-small-town Forks but huge chunks the first two films were made in Canada. Epic failure man. They had to film outside the country. XD

Toadette25 I doubt it. Remeber Forks with always be their "MOST LOVED PLACE EVAR!!!" So I wouldn't worry that much. Those poor people of Forks. Their lives must be a living hell. Also, guys, I live in Canada. That means I am uber-close to the set and *shudder* Failor Lautner. I hate him almost as much as I hate Stupid, Ugly Bubbles.

A lot of people seem to forget that Forks is a good 3 HOUR DRIVE from Seattle, with the ferry boat ride. Without the ferry, it would be close to a 4 hour drive to go around through Olympia. I was born and raised in Seattle, and it really pisses me off that Bella-sue is constantly wanting to go to Seattle or Port Angeles or wherever to go shopping. Who in their right mind is going to drive over an hour to Port Angeles just to do dress shopping? This author fails in so many ways.
Forks isn't even directly on the Washington coast, as most people believe either. GOOGLE MAPS, anyone?! scream
I'm living in Utah right now, home of SMeyer herself. I tell people I'm from Seattle and the first thing they ALWAYS SAY is "GASP! You must have been to Forks then. Is it as awesome as she says it is?" *rolls eyes* I just say "No, I don't believe in driving 3 hours to visit some podunk little town, I can drive 30 minutes and see several towns just like it."
Man, I hate what this woman has done to my city. They're even building a Twilight Hotel in Forks, with each room supposedly being themed like different parts of the book. Kill it with fire.

You're going to get Twi-tards no matter where you go in the world, and Seattle is no exception. There's really no one kind of people in Seattle, but there are a lot of hipster types, artsy types, that kinda thing, because Seattle is that kind of city.
