I broke a stupid, insignificant rule in order to help someone out. Whether or not I still have a job next week hinges on whether anyone noticed and whether they talk about it and whether I can talk my way out of it by doing the best acting job of my life, i.e. lying. I'll know by Tuesday probably at the latest.
It's dumb cuz I should have known better. But I was in such a good mood, I just thought, "Hey, I don't mind helping out a fellow human being today." That'll teach me, right? xp
What's really dumb is that it comes down to shopping. I work retail, and we're not supposed to shop on the days we work. So I told a coworker I would buy something for her when I was in there shopping. But the moron couldn't keep her mouth shut and started talking about it right in front of the team lead. I could've strangled her right then. stressed She tried to cover for it by saying that she was actually talking about something else, but I don't know whether anyone would buy that.
It's my fault for agreeing to help her out when I knew the rules. But if she had just kept quiet, I wouldn't have to worry about it. mad
EDIT: I found this pic in a folder on my external HD, and it kinda made me feel better. whee

So far, so good. No questions yet. Tomorrow's the real test, since the boss will be in.
Dude: Seriously, it's a nice picture making a poetic remark about the transient nature of problems and the importance of perseverance, and all you can do is drool over the girl, who just looks like she's had a hard day at work and needs a little reassurance? scream I hope that's not how you would treat a real life girlfriend.
